zeeace:You wey get job but still wan block others from having their peanuts... Let's discuss your greed, shall we? ![]() |
Unigrad:Symptomatic of most cybercafés in this country - incompetent, uninformed, complacent and sooo out-of-date. Find a decent cybercafé and get your biometrics done. |
If you made a decent score and still haven't been shortlisted.. Do not panic - the uploads are still ongoing - from a reliable source. Just check every few hours. A real shame they just can't upload everything at once. All the mindless stress & needless anxiety mongering for a paltry 30k .. A mess of a country it is. |
Mbmohammed:Still haven't seen it sha. Made it to biometrics tho. 90%er. |
Mbmohammed:You re-uploaded or something? It was an issue at some point.. The certs magically disappeared from all dashboards.. Have they resolved it? coz I didn't re-upload. |
NwaAmaikpe:Waiting for the bomb ![]() |
Gptech:Hard to disagree. Reason why I'd still choose 120Hz. That said, I think there isn't much between 90Hz & 120Hz compared to the standard 60Hz & 120Hz, the later would be much more noticeable when switching either way. Most users likely won't dole out extra cash for a piece of tech upgrade that would take their eyes 6 months to adjust & notice.. Fair to say that refresh rate is largely a small part of a smartphone’s display specifications, and certainly not a major feature enough to sway an average smartphone user that probably doesn't even know what it means.. ![]() |
abdsamad:Fair point. The average human eye is almost fundamentally incapable of noticing the difference, making it very easy for OEMs to hoodwink fans. Would still go for 120Hz regardless ![]() |
genius43:I get, bro. It worked flawlessly on 9, became glitchy on 10 in some apps, but still manageable. |
Kennyflyair:I'm on Android 10 and I use Microsoft SwiftKey... clipboard works fine. |
Coldie:For Banana. |
Samuelsegzy:Isn't it obvious from the screenshot? Lmao No fear, bro ![]() |
ZendayaColeman:For van! |
Quim2:Something isn't particularly right with my PC ? Probably.. But I've a thing with first impression, it matters a lot to me. My first experience with HP is beyond horrible, and this's something I won't be quick to forget; something that may permanently shape my view of the HP brand in general. I mean.... this's a brand new laptop that I unsealed/unboxed myself?! They say Elite & Pro book series are much more durable. Great. But for now I'm gonna try something different, and Lenovo or Dell would be my destination. What brand of HP do you use by the way? |
aterejr:Sent me a DM? |
chariisGRACE:I enjoy your shots bro. Although they've become very predictable and tend to follow same trend and concept.. The vignette effect and all that.. Somewhat dull and monotonous.. Maybe a little more light and vibrance wouldn't be bad, IMO. Some of us increase the screen brightness of our smartphones just to view and absorb your shots better... Kudos to you tho. One of the best we've on the thread |
Benrichkid:Good choice TBH. Lock Widget is non-existent in third-party launchers.. It is only exclusive to MIUI. I've always used Nova ever since I started using Android phones and they use lock gestures instead which is very fluid and stylish. Any day you decide to switch to a non-MIUI launcher, the Lock Widget - most of your MIUI widgets, in fact - will disappear. Have this at the back of your mind, just in case |
Benrichkid:"Swipe to lock screen" is a basic feature in most third-party launchers like Nova. But if launchers are not your thing, use Miui "Quick ball" feature and add "lock screen" to the buttons |
Reddington:Hi again guys.. Issues resolved. Finally collected my package. A few mins after I arrived home, I got a call from the PO attendant that I should come and claim my package... Won't lie, I muttered "shey una talk say una no see am before" under my breath. Anyways I quickly rode to PO and collected it before they change their mind! The lady told me the item was among unsorted packages that arrived late yesterday, that they had just sorted it. Well.. Not that I doubted them initially, but apparently @genius24 , @Pweetymaro97, @sirqeeboi and @Sofistcatdmoron were absolutely spot on! Thanks guys.. Appreciate the responses! |
genius43:Thanks for your quick response bro... Always to the rescue EVERY damn time! Kudos! |
Hi guys, my order that was "despatched to overseas" on 31st of Dec last year arrived last week. Yesterday my tracking info updated to "delivery failed". I equally got a mail yesterday from AliExpress that the item had arrived my local post office. So I went there this morning to claim it, but the PO attendants asked me if I got a text from them, I replied nope, but my tracking info says my package is there. Hence they checked their logbooks and told me they haven't received my item. I was a bit shocked.. How could that be possible? Are they saying the tracking info is useless or what? I strongly hope they haven't tampered with my package. So guys pls how do I proceed from here? Because as it stands, I'll easily lose if I file any dispute on Aliexpress coz they would tell me the item arrived the local PO according their tracking details.. This has never happened to me before.. I need ideas, guys. |
WhyNa:Incredible how deceptive pictures can be.. Cameras tend to manipulate images, making them look bigger or smaller than the actual subject sometimes! Anyway sha I hope they're as tasty as they look.. Lol Regarding updates, I understand and thanks for the news and insights so far.. Although an occasional posting of pictures of neighbourhoods, streets, buildings or random monuments (with brief stories and captions) would not hurt.. Not sure there's anything more fascinating .. It's the most entertaining aspect of the thread - a lot of thread followers will agree...I'm sure ![]() |
WhyNa:Lovely-looking trees. Fruits could easily be mistaken for tangerine tho lol.. Thanks for the updates @Whyna, albeit slow and steady. |
bagger293:While my two orders that was despatched 24th and 31st of Dec 2020 are yet to arrive. The wonders of Ali Logistics. Update: 31st despatch just arrived
|
bagger293:Sorry bro.. When did you make the order & the despatch date? |
lymelyte:Oga calm down ![]() |
Mickool17:14inch? Not my thing. Thanks tho for the suggestion. |
meobizy:Thanks a lot for your input. Thoughts on brand new laptops vs 1st grade fairly-used laptops? |
Honduras01:I appreciate your suggestion, man.. I've been doing some Googling on the Yoga series and it seems like a good brand. I personally like Lenovo; they build robust laptops just like Dell.. I'm just confused as to which model exactly to go for.. |
mountmoriah:Wow.. Looks like a good deal.. But the fact it's HP is a big drawback for me.. Why are HP laptops so fragile? |
Sheriman:Thanks for your suggestion, man. |
Hi, guys, I need a new laptop. I currently use HP Notebook 250 G5 (core i3) which was bought for me brand new by someone roughly 2 yrs ago. I can say the experience hasn't been a smooth one. The laptop started having keyboard issues after 2 months of use despite handling it with utmost carefulness. The issue started with a key (left arrow key) and then spread to several keys randomly. I had to buy a wireless keyboard because virtually all the laptop engineers I contacted told me the keyboard would be extremely difficult to replace because it is a chiclet/island kind of keyboard. So I had to make do with the external keyboard for over a year and half now. Long story short, woke up one morning to discover, to my astonishment, a white horizontal line across the screen, this's in addition to the fact that the left arrow key goes haywire & continuously press itself sometimes, making the laptop virtually unusable. This is my first laptop, and I'm absolutely hating the experience. The stereotype is that most HP laptops are fragile, and based on my experience, it'll be very difficult to convince me to believe otherwise. This was a brand new laptop! HP is an insanely popular brand in the world of laptops, but I honestly think they're ridiculously overrated! So back to my main aim of creating this thread; I need a brand new laptop, but I'm also willing to consider fairly-used ones if they're of the highest grade. Lenovo is my preferred choice, but I'm willing to consider other reliable brands too. I'm looking out for the following attributes: * Reliability & durability. * Parts must be readily available in the market and very replaceable by competent engineers. * Anything less than core i5 is unacceptable. * A dedicated graphics card would be great, but not a must. * Screen size must be 15.6 inches and above, with rich colours. * On-screen time should be nothing less than 4.5hrs i.e battery must be solid. * 8GB or 4GB RAM. If 4, it must be expandable. * 500GB - 1TB Storage. * SSD storage * Mustn't be bulky. My budget = N250-N300k Laptop gurus/vendors, I need your help with recommendations, please. Thank you! |
