I assume you haven't done your biometrics yet.

On the day of your appointment/walk-in, take the actual statement along and request for assisted service. It'll cost you 12k or so. They'll help you scan and upload it.

Take your atm along too, that's what you'll use to pay.

Budget 65k max. VFS Global will take 19k+ and French embassy will take another 41k or so.

Important documents are:
Flight booking

Your passport showing your visa to your country of destination

Colour photocopy of your visa page and the biodata page of your passport (one copy each is okay)

Passport photograph: they have a specification. Google schengen passport specifications for more info. They're very strict about that. You can pay 1,500 or so to have the picture taken at the office

If you're a student, print your unconditional offer letter, if you aren't, print one month bank statement. (I don't think this bit is important but they ask sometimes)

Print the visa application form and the France receipt.

Note: do not try to print anything outside the venue. Those guys are sharks. Please endeavour to print all before going in. They do colour photocopy inside at a fair price sha but they don't print.

Walk-in can only be done at the centre you chose on TLScontact website. Since you've done self upload, just print your checklist and the other requirements. No need to go with any documents except you omitted any and would like to add it. That will cost you 12k or so.

My Zenith Bank Statement is not accessed with password. I open it on PDF reader without entering any password.

I used Stanbic IBTC and it was passworded. Removed it, applied and UKVI issued my visa.

If yours open straight away without a prompt to input password, you're good to go then.

Bank stamp not necessary. It is usual passworded though, remove the password before uploading on TLScontact's website.

You can apply first in the France visa site then book appointment later in the vfs site before submitting. Then call them or send a mail for a re-appointment if the appointment date is not favorable to you.

Fallout of brexit. UK no longer in the EU so a transit flight through an EU nation to the UK is seen as travelling to a third country and they need a transit visa for that.

I think it's on KLM's website too.

before you argue further, this is a mail to someone from BCU. Yes BCU before CAS could be issued to the person. This isnt from an agent or what have you, it was straight from the admission team. This is a school rule before CAS can be released. School issues CAS, UKvi issues visa....two different things bro

My good man, the only one among those three requirements that UKVI is concerned with is the 28 day rule.

The second and third rules are not necessary. UKVI stated on their website that a downloaded bank statement without stamp is okay nor did they specify that the account must show multiple transactions as proof of "activity"

I quite understand that those rules must be met before those schools issue CAS but seriously, the overreach of the compliance teams of those schools is getting quite much.

They're probably trying to be on the safer side and ensure that all their students get visa sha.

NB: My school has a CAS shield too so I know what their issues can be like.

If you check UKVI website and check the requirements for bank statements, you'll see that you do not need to stamp anything anymore.

You can download it from the bank website and upload the pdf like that but you have to remove the password sha.

Below is the response I received today, GURUS in the house, kindly support to clarify and advise on my situation:

"Thank you for your query from the information you have provided, the application status is awaiting a decision and you should be contacted shortly.

We strongly recommend that you do not buy a non-refundable, non-flexible ticket to the UK, until your visa application has been approved and you have received your documents."

That last paragraph is standard response. It does not imply anything.

You can use their ibanking portal to print it too. You'll get it delivered in your mail in minutes and it's very clear. It'll require a password however. You'll see the password hint in the mail.
