AgricultureRe: Analysis Of Egg Production With 100 Layers by Redman44(m): 1:14pm On Sep 18, 2025
epainos:
I am glad the OP did his research well. He wrote down the price of feed he could get, and someone claiming to be a chief wants to convince him that the cost of feeding he is using is excessive. Lol. I looked at the chief's quotes and wondered if he was not aware of Nigeria's rapid inflation rate. If the OP, who is new to the business, uses a constant price for a year-long cycle of laying birds, I am not sure how a business chief decided to do the same. That's hilarious. My guess is that the chief wants OP to patronize him so he can teach him how to save money on feeding in return for a fee, or become his supplier. Lol. Naijas are over smart. grin

OP, broiler production has always been more profitable than layer production, and if broiler producers are complaining, I am guessing layer producers are in trouble.cheesy The advantage of broiler production is that you can see whether you have succeeded or failed within two months. However, with layers, the likes of chief will use your head to play "kalokalo" for a whole year before you wake up from your slumber.

Here is my suggestions: Newbies....stay away from anything farming in Nigeria at the moment. Crops, fruits, trees, vegetables.....poultry, livestocks, piggery, etc. Stay away from them all. The economy is not favorable for a newbie to start anything. Leave the scene for experienced farmers who can navigate it. It is a complex situation we are all facing presently in Nigeria.

If you want to learn how to farm, do so for your own health rather than for a profit. If you go into it at this time, na you sabi.

If you let anyone use you to have a wonderful Christmas and New Year for his family, na you sabi.

Good luck to everyone reading.
Oga, dont discourage people from going into Agriculture o. Please encourage them to do backyard farming or small scale farming on undeveloped lands in the neighbourhood. Small scale farming helps a lot. Thanks.

EducationRe: FG To Feed 50 Million Pupils In 2026 by Redman44(m): 2:42pm On Sep 14, 2025
In a country of 200 + million people, how can primary school pupils be up to 50 million in number ? I don't understand. The ideal number should not be more than 25 million . And why do you want to feed pupils who are not in school? Do you know their homes? 500 naira per meal to feed a student ? These people are jokers.

We had one in our compound too. It is called the Indian almond. Yes, it was not sold in the market. Guavas too were not common in the market. Cheers. Guava trees are becoming a rarity in Nigeria. I want to reverse that trend. Cheers.

Sorry to say this, but the super eagles would not beat the Bafana Bafana Team. The south african team mean business and would do everything possible to win that game. The most annoying thing for me with that our match yesterday was that the team played as if there was nothing at stake ( not that i blame them anyway ). But I just dont see the super eagles winning all remaining matches
The Super Eagles will RISE today in Bloemfontein. Cheers. It will be a victory for Nigeria.

Nigeria will beat South Africa on Tuesday 2-0. It will be a very tough and fiercely contested match but Nigeria will win the game. Cheers.
FamilyRe: What Is Your Greatest Regret As A Married Man! by Redman44(m): 2:45pm On Sep 06, 2025
I regret not toasting Bukola. She gave me the opportunity to tell her my mind and become her lover, but I did not take my chances with her. Bukola would have become my wife. I believe we were meant to be together. Pretty and decent babe that I failed to woo. Well, life goes on. She is married to someone else with two kids now. I am also married too but I still think about what could have been if I had responded to Bukky's greenlight.
FamilyRe: Paternity Fraud And Societal Decay - Punch Editorial by Redman44(m): 3:36pm On Aug 31, 2025
It happens before you know it. Don't grow too close to a married woman, especially if you are richer and comfortable than her husband. The woman will spread her thighs and give her body to you if you just show her a little attention. Most women today are vulnerable and the economy is not helping matters. Some married women will yield their bodies to you if you ask for sex. They are not happy in their marriage. Please, let us fear God. Thanks.
AgricultureRe: Make ₦50 Million After 8 Months Of Planting Coconut, Palm Tree And Soursop by Redman44(m): 4:43am On Aug 30, 2025
Jakarta:
To write like this is sweet, when implementation time comes, you begin to hear one story or the other. It's always easier said than done.
You won't get the exact amount of money the OP posted initially , but as time goes on and as the seedlings mature into trees, you will start making good money. It is a journey in Agric and you will learn a lot of things on the way. What works and what does not work. Cheers.

Tell them it is GMO seeds.

So farmers will know where and how to plant.

It's truly economical tho...for those interested.
Just know you'll come bk to buy seeds after a while.
This one doesn't have continuous harvest capacity.
Anyone who is interested in this idea should not be discouraged. There are natural seeds that can be bought from experienced farmers and on websites or open markets. It is all about being dedicated and persistent. The idea is a good one. Orchards and fruit plantations are going to be the future. Cheers.
PropertiesRe: Japa Or Land Or Small House by Redman44(m): 7:42pm On Aug 28, 2025
Bro, do you know how much fruits cost nowadays? Why don't you spend some of the money to start a 2 acre orchard ? Plant Bananas, oranges, grapes , pawpaws, Agbalumo , plantain etc on the land and in 3-4 years you will start making cool money selling those fruits to wholesalers. Get land in a semi rural area and start creating orchards for the future. There is money in it. Cheers.

TravelRe: Kisarazu: Things To Know About Japanese City Now Hometown For Nigerians by Redman44(m): 9:19am On Aug 23, 2025
Japan is very homogeneous.. They hardly mix with foreigners. They just need workers for their industries. That is why they want to place all Nigerian immigrants in one city. You will learn when you get there. To get Japanese citizenship is very hard. I dont think they give citizenship to foreigners .
CareerRe: Guys, Leave Teaching Jobs For Ladies by Redman44(m): 11:06pm On Aug 21, 2025
Negotiations is very important when picking a teaching job in a private school. Open your mouth and negotiate with the school owner concerning your salary and the days you will be coming to School. Don't just accept what is tabled to you. If one school is not giving you good working conditions, approach other schools. Cheers.

Dtigers have not risen to the occasion since 2020. We need to rebuild the team.Men's basketball in Africa is not a walk in the park. I am very disappointed in Dtigers. It seems Men's sports in Nigeria is on the decline. Great decline.

I later tried cucumber cultivation on the main farm and got my fingers burnt. First attempt with the first farm worker resulted in almost equal revenue as my input so basically no profit. Major issue was having an unmotivated worker who didn’t find avenue to steal as much as he would have wished to. And I wasn’t available enough to supervise him.

1. Manure
2. Prepared soil/bed
3 & 4. Sprouted cucumber
I have a question about the manure in the blue container. Is it chicken manure? What kind of manure is it? And then did you apply it fresh to the soil or how did you cure it and make it fit for use immediately, Sir? Thanks.

The farm house was being constructed around the main farming season when rains were starting, so, I decided to cultivate corn. I also transplanted the fruit trees (pawpaw, orange & mango) I’d nursed in town to the farm.
One day I came to the farm to notice cow footprints. I went to further to see some of my corn had been eaten up by cows. The night security guy explained that before I acquired the land the herders used to pass through the farm as a short cut through the bush track that I had seen that crossed the length of the farm. He explained further that he had to drive them out and warn them not to use the path again and if he wasn’t there, they could have completely destroyed my corn.
I love what you are doing, Sir. You are very detailed and clear with your writing. Thanks for this thread. You have just encouraged me to start my own farming though it will be done on a small piece of land initially and then I will lease and buy land as time goes on. We are still in the raining season and I want to start planting things. I have already planted fruits in my compound. One of the plantains suckers I cultivated last year has started to fruit. Hopefully, the others will bear fruit very soon. I have planted bananas, pawpaws, guava, coconut , mango, Cocoa and some Zobo seedlings. You have inspired me to follow through with my farming ideas.

We played badly in the last quarter. Though we won but we played badly. I believe our bench can play better than that. Coach Abdulrahman needs to stop experimenting in the last quarter. Cameroun was recovering from the gap of points between us and them. I am unhappy with Dtigers.

D'Tigers can win this tournament.
Wishing them all the best in their quest.
We can. However, let's take it game by game. We will meet tougher opposition in the elimination rounds. However, this Dtigers Squad is good. What would have happened if Miye Oni , Gabe Vincent and Chimezie Metu also made this Squad? Yet, our squad is still strong.
