Fantastic. Thanks a lot.I cherish all your great contributions.

Thanks, Sir. For the cash crop you want to plant, here are my suggestions.
1. Citrus fruits ( Tangerine, Orange, Shaddock Grapes, Grapes, Tangelo ).
2. Plantain
3. Bitter Kola & Kolanuts
4. Cocoa

For optimum results, plant the seedlings yourself. Don't use consultants on this project. Read up on cultivation of the cash crops I have listed above. There is a lot of information online and videos on how to cultivate the crops above. Read widely and gather the information you need. You have one acre, Sir . You can use two plots for citrus plants. If you do your research well, you will get the sweet Orange, tangerine, grape, tangelo seedlings at affordable prices in Oyo State. Just do your research well. Fruits are getting expensive daily .

You can also use two plots of land to cultivate Plantain. Plantain will give you quicker money which you will use to buy the Citrus seedlings. Same as Banana. Plant Plantain and Banana on 2 plots of land and use the money you make to buy Citrus seedlings. On the last two plots of land, cultivate bitter Kola or Kolanuts. They bring in a lot of money but it takes time. You will have to be patient, bro. Don't worry about the money you are paying your guard or person who is monitoring your farm. You will regain all the money back. There are so many things you will need to read up on. Cheers.

Mangoes are widely loved across Nigeria and the whole of Africa 🙂. A Mango tree can last for up to 20 to 25 years in your compound or big garden. You and your family can enjoy Mangoes anytime you want. We have three Mango seedlings for sale. 4,500 Naira per seedling.

Whatsapp me on 07049597500 for more information. Thanks.

Mariangeles:
For security reasons, my uncle had to have the one right infront of our village house cut down, because it was already fruiting and attracting pluckers.
Organic one at that.
It pained me sha.

(I'm surprised it grew wildly, and fruited within 3 years)

My dad planted about five different guava species in his compound and they were all organic species. They lasted for more than 25 years in that compound. The guava species I am seeing around are not hardy at all. Yes, guava can fruit in three years. Other species fruit in 5-7 years but they are all organic. I am working on bringing back at least 10 species of guava into peoples homes in Southwestern Nigeria 🙏.

CrownedPhoenix:
Guava.

To hell with that fruit!

All things being equal, there's nothing I want with that fruit.

I guess it is because Guava as a fruit is gradually becoming extinct in Nigeria. Most homes in Nigeria don't have Guava again. Guava has many varieties and I am seriously working on reviving many guava species in Nigeria. I am into Horticulture 🙏.

Dustthings:
Omo, for me na pawpaw (papaya). I just can't stand the smell, let alone the taste; the thing dey always smell like wet cardboard to me, but everybody else around me seems to love it like it's the best thing on earth.

Pawpaw is lovely 😍😍😍. We love it .

What you need is a trusted human there, gonna be cost effective than these stuff listed
Farm location?

👆 This is the best answer so far. OP should get a trusted person to manage the farm on his or her behalf. If you plant any cash crop there without someone monitoring the place for you, you will go through lots of losses 😭😭 including theft of your crops and loss of the land itself. The best is to pay someone in the village where the land is to monitor the farm for you.. 35k a month for a start is not bad. Then go there and plant the crops or fruit trees by yourself. Get to know people in the area and be friendly with them. That person you are paying 35k a month will help you guard and monitor your farm. Promise the person a small percentage of the harvest too. Cheers.

Tangelo is a lovely citrus fruit. It is a cross between Tangerine and Grapefruit or Pomelo. Tangelo is very juicy and easier to peel than Tangelo. Its size is as big as the human clenched fist 🙂. I grew up in a home that had five guava trees of different species 🙂🇳🇬. My dad's home is in the Ogba area of Lagos. The five guava trees produced fruit that tasted differently e.g we had strawberry and orange tasting guava fruits. People used to swarm our compound or knock on our gate to ask for guava fruits. I have noticed that we have fewer guava trees in people's homes these days. This is why I want you to buy my Guava seedlings and other fruit seedlings. Guava has a lot of nutrients and vitamins for our bodies .

Why don't you plant a guava tree today ?

Please call/Whatsapp me on 07049598500. Thanks.

You have spoken my mind. They look like a branch of the Issakaba boys 🙂. The Eastern Governors should resurrect the Issakaba boys to deal with kidnappers and bandits.

honestly sir being a stranger doesn't matter ,what matters is integrity, honesty. Besides that, most people around were all struggling too and I came from a very poor family ,my colleagues were all teachers like me always living hands to mouth.

So you're a teacher 🙂? Teaching can give you good money to invest in business ventures if you know what you are doing. And you can be a freelance teacher and plan your teaching schedules at different schools. You can be a part time teacher and still earn good money. Cheers.

Sheuns:
How many Nigerians have gardens to begin with.

You guys just spew anything without having to think deeply.

I know what I am saying . Yes, not all Nigerians have gardens, but people can improvise with sack farming for vegetables or lease undeveloped plots if land close to them for small scale Agriculture. The hunger out there is real and people should think out of the box. A family that owns its own house and compound should find spaces on the land to plant fruit trees, raise chicken and rabbits etc 🙏.
