vcole:Thanks for heads up. I plan to re route trip to visit US first. Any info on below question? 1. I plan to do a soft landing for about 3 weeks then return to Nigeria and resign properly. However, I do intend to have someone in Canada receive my family's PR cards ( wife, daughter and I) and courier same to us in Nigeria. Is this act in violation of any law or policy? |

Hello Dear People, So I got my GCMS notes yesterday after being on NA2 for roughly 3 months. Luckily, the recommendations on the notes seemed okay without any cause for worries, hence I want to activate my landing plans gradually and need some guidance; 1. I plan to do a soft landing for about 3 weeks then return to Nigeria and resign properly. However, I do intend to have someone in Canada receive my family's PR cards ( wife, daughter and I) and courier same to us in Nigeria. Is this act in violation of any law or policy? 2. We plan to travel to U.S for a week or so during the landing phase, can one easily go out and return into Canada with just a copy of the COPR? we already have valid US visas. 3. Can someone recommend a very affordable Canada - US airline to keep on the radar? from desk research done so far, cheapest is about $200 per passenger. 4. Apart from Airbnb and hotels are there other affordable options for temporary accommodation while in Canada? Toronto to be precise. 5. How many International Airports are in Toronto and which is has the best customer experience ? Sorry, a lot of questions but one can never overstate the value of getting first hand information. Much appreciation in advance. |

Kmgb:Not certain about this but guess it's safer to over provide. In any case, they will send you an ADR if necessary. |
smileymum:It is advisable to provide evidence of your travel history by attaching stamped pages whether old or current passport. Upfront submission of travel history in my opinion is really not necessary, because they would ask for it if required. Remember travel history is also provided in the eAPR, so it's not in all cases that a supplementary is required. |
agates:Hi, I got a similar ADR. I suggest you fill travel history for both your spouse and you for the last 10 years. Try to cover even periods you did not travel using nil or n/a. Also attach passport data page and all stamped pages for both of you again. All the best. |
loudlumi:Hi, that's an NOI. If you accept, then you're going the pnp route and will get additional 600 points added to your crs. If you feel positive about the csr cut off going lower, then I suggest you let it slide. Consider your next bday, validity of your ielts results before making a decision. All the best... |
Omonjoe:My advise, this should be done post ITA because it's takes roughly 3 hours and you will get a slip to upload with application same day. However, latest landing date post PPR will be one year from date of medicals, so if for any reason your application is not very fast, you may find yourself under some pressure to relocate. My 2 kobo... |
Omoedeki:Your certificate is the proof of the date you became qualified for the role, and the certificate date is usually same with that on the statement of result even if the certificate is issued at a later date. However, if you have different dates on the two documents, not speaking as an expert, and you decide to use the earlier date, then you will have to ensure you also upload the statement of result as part of your supporting documents. Others could share their thoughts on this. |
Djeanny:Yes, date on the certificate awarded to you after University graduation. |
sleekysilk:Thank you so much. Most helpful. |
Good people, Sorry I have to ask a cheap question but guess it's better to ask than be ignorant. Please where will I find these NA1, NA2 , IP1 and IP2 on my application status? will it come as an update or these are mere stages in the application process. I have passed Med. and gotten UCI and still do not see these acronyms anywhere. Thank you in advance... |
Abbylee:Hi, he won't have to provide letter of reference for those jobs included in his personal history. Then on the reference letter not having salary, he could upload his employment letter or last promotion letter in addition. One of these letters will show how much he earns. Also, he can use the LOE to give necessary clarifications. All the best. |
bbaby84:AOR was Oct 14. |
Good day Good People, Please has anyone gotten ADR for travel history and how did you go about filling the form IMM5562E? I just got an ADR same day medical was passed and UCI issued. the letter reads: "Travel History Info form: Information on your previous travel history (trip duration and purpose) including citizenship and resident document information". I already provided these information on the eAPR. I also chose "yes" for visa refusal in the statutory questions but these refusals were on an old and expired passport so I did not include scanned copies in the application. Now I don't know if to just fill-out the form with valid passport and travel history or include the past expired passports and refusal stamps on them. Any one with experience on this should please offer some assistance. I don't want to over do or under do. Thanks in advance. |
temydee1:Your not alone. I submitted Oct 14 and still on AOR. Things may happen very fast after Med. is passed. Stay positive. ![]() |
prideandjoy:Your comments speak a lot about your character and temperament. I wonder what makes you feel you're more knowledgeable simply because you know "one" way to the toilet. Hope you are also knowledgeable on how to keep a toilet clean after use... I won't gratify you with a response on the subject any further. |
prideandjoy:You know if it takes a lot from you to guide someone, there is always the option of ignoring the post. Sometimes, people need to be reassured that they are on the right track even if they have read about it. Best wishes, |
GlitteringStar:I hail my people, IRCC no get joy these days o. Meanwhile, will one get a personal email notification when Medicals is passed or would it require checking online account on intervals. Ordinary AOR for about 10 days now. |
[quote author=Santino1 post=61374720]Merge everything into a single pdf file. If size is too large, compress it with one of the numerous compression websites[/quot I have compressed using different online apps all to no avail. Document is still bigger than 4MB. Is there a particular application you want to recommend? Original size of document is about 17MB |
Hello good people, Please how can I upload about 22 pages of SOA to the placeholder. Have read on this thread that some people were able to upload up to 50 pages. Abeg help a brother. Is there a particular software used to compress the documents or some other means to get it done? Thanks in advance.. |
elfmann:I was very confident until I read that tweet. But, I still have a window to change my last 2 years in the bank to 0111 in the eAPR since it was a finance role but this would be different from the 0122 used in the EE profile. Anymore useful advice on this please. |
elfmann:Yes, I already have work reference for all of them. And both the banking and Telco experience are in Skill type "0". Maybe am over reacting but I read the tweet as well about NOC being the same for work experience so am getting confused at this stage. Was the tweet even referring to NOC O, A or B or NOC job code being the same? |
elfmann:I thought the most important aspect is the Skill type, which is "0". and they are the same. So which of the options in your opinion should I follow now? |
Hello my good People, So I have about 8 years experience in (6+ years in Banking and 1+ in Telecoms). I applied under NOC 0122 (banking) and (0111) current role. I based my application on 0111. Didn't assume it's a problem since 0122 and 0111 are under skill type "0". Now after reading something someone posted about using same NOC code for experience, am a bit confused if I should make changes on the eAPR or is it fine the way it is? Here are the options am considering; 1. My work ref. detailed my roles at different periods, so I can change my last role in the bank to 0111 which is also related. 2. I can base my application on NOC 0122 instead. 3. This is not a problem, so I can leave this way. I already got ITA so any changes will be in the eAPR. I need someone with related experience to advise please. Counting on your usual support family. |
hiscules:You will include it in the EE profile if you select yes for spouse work history and then provide a reference when you receive ITA. |
hiscules:Hi, I think it's best to select no for spouse work history because I selected yes and post ITA, my checklist requested a work reference for spouse even though I was not awarded any points for her work history. My 2 cents but let's hear what others think. |
XX01:Hello, Is it by any way possible to see the format your bank used to prepare the Ref for your Acct. Am assuming they indicated your 6 months balance and also average bal in the letter. My bank refused giving in this format hence I will have to attach a SOA along. Please you can blur out the sensitive informations in the POF. Thanks. |
Hello All, So I have a medical check up appointment for Tuesday at Qlife. But to my greatest surprise they requested my wife who uses glasses should come with her glasses. Just wondering, should we have a reason to be worried? |
Thank you for the tip. I have had several visa and intl trips since then, so was considering not declaring for the past. Guess, I better stay safe than sorry. Will do as advised. dupyshoo: |
Good morning All Is it necessary for me to state that I have been denied visa in the ITA questionnaire form. Particularly since the refusal stamp is on an old passport? Any one with a useful advise. Much appreciated. |
