Not at all.

Do you really care to know my truth? It is totally dependent on what is obtainable in your area. What's the history of diseases and outbreaks in your area? I for one have never experienced gumboro on my farm, farms around or even in the local environs by local birds. So, I don't usually take it as a big deal even if I skip it. On the other hand, Newcastle na die here, See local birds turning neck up and down everywhere grin. Knowing this, I am always a step ahead in my organic approach and my biosecurity is above average. LAS LAS, NA GOD OOOO

(WARNING: Please vaccinate your birds oooo. I am only trying to condemn our lack of proper data availability on these little little things that can go a long way in tackling pest and diseases)
oh, I understand you sir, if gumboro is for turning neck, the last time I saw a bird turning it neck here was when I was in primary school and na local bird o.
I cannot use organic, since I started their vaccination with synthetic

Those must be grandpa broilers. You can talk to the food vendors in Akure, market doesn't move quickly here in Ondo like that

The three weeks old birds are receiving less attention now but currently weigh approximately 1 kg.

I no sell again, I have about 10 left and people still think it is expensive @ 900 naira after all my efforts, thank goodness I never raised them with the intention to sell, now I'm going to watch them grow for my personal delight and consumption.
Boss, you use gas as heater? is charcoal not better?

You can use woodshaves, but it has to be much, because those chicks must not touch the unplasterd ground cos of cold.

Beautiful birds you've got there.
Looking at the pictures, I can only imagine the shege they have put you through cheesy; from treatments, feeding etc. It's all learn process. Keep it up.
Thank you boss, no much treatment, except the organic I learn from your thread and anytime I release them from the cage, their best food is the bitter leave tree in the compound. Feeding is minimal, because I bought them at four weeks old though not same time.
AgricultureRe: Xmas Broiler Broading In Pictures by Redomi(m): 3:00pm On Sep 07, 2020
There is something I noticed about stale farmers here. They are all bad people here, they don't want us to grow, they keep discouraging me, thank God I didn't listen, now they are coming for lectures when they saw my 7 days old chicks.
Those people can discourage someone, one woman I used to buy four weeks old broilers and Noilers from keep telling me not to go into day old, that all of them will die the next day. She said farmers only have access to buy day old Noilers once in 3 month, they tell me black Cockerel is noiler, each time I try to explain thing to them, they tag me as someone that argue too much, they said I will never listen and learn now, they said I am not a farmer yet.
But they are too blind to know I have a browsing phone and this is technology age, you can know whatever you want to know on your phone without going out of your house.
one big farmer who is a brother to the former governor of Ondo state, will brainwash them because he doesn't want others to go into this business. Now the man has bought all the lands around his farm yet he claim there is no gain and he has no other work o.
TO THE UPCOMING FARMERS, DONT LISTEN TO OLD STREET FARMERS, THEY WILL KILL YOUR AMBITION.
Can you imagine one of them that has been discouraging me not to buy from Noelogo82, they he will only give me rejected DOC, came today and was begging me to give him Noelogo82 number.
He told me there is no difference between birds, now he is begging to tell him the name of my bird(Agrited)
He was even begging me to sell two for him when the reach 4 weeks old, despite he has about 300 6 weeks old he is brooding, I told him my price is #1500 for each birds, his six weeks old and my 7 days old is almost same.
He asked which type of feed I am using, I told him New Hope Broilers Extra Starter Crumble 510. He shouted on top of his voice that it is too cost. I told him it's #5500 and it's not too much for what I wanted because I am seeing the result.
He said a lot, but all what I wanted to say is that, never listen to anybody, do whatever you want to do, go online and find research, download PDF and read carefully.

Try and step up their feeding for a greater result at Christmas
Thank you sir, though I am not ready to sell them at Christmas, I want to keep them for egg production, I cannot be buying eggs everyday. I will eat the males next year and leave the females to produce eggs. That will safe money for the crate of eggs I buy for my kids and wife
