Christianity Etc › Re: Ashamed Of Your Traditional Name Based On Religious Beliefs by redsun(m): 11:03am On Nov 11, 2012
Different strokes. While peoople like us are thinking of changing our socalled baptismal names unfortunately given to us as children.

I find it very embarassing and humiliating telling oyinbo that my name is john, edward, micheal or anthony,as african. But i use it because it makes it easiar for them call and rite, since they are either too dum-b or too over bloated to write or mention african names.

They think african names, like the language are primitives,"unoyinbo" and apelike.
Christianity Etc › Re: Oritsejafor Gets Private-Jet As Birthday Gift From Church Members-(pics) by redsun(m): 10:49am On Nov 11, 2012
SELFWORTH: I don't understand this fascination with Jet and Ministers of God. Jesus did not own a single thing while he lived on planet earth . You don't need all these material things for your life to make a real impact on lives of other fellow beings or leave a lasting legacy. None of these material things bring any fulfilment of any kind.

How does the jet bring glory to Christ?
Because nigerian churches centres on properity without thinking or working hard.

So when he raised the issue that his church can not be left out in the private jet mania, that being left out will mean their god is not properous, his flocks which probably includes gej quickly fell for the line and scrambled all the the available resources, stolen, saved, borrowed, widowed earnings and bought him one oyinbo marvel.

He is a shameless tout.An offer nobles like buhari cannot accept even with a thousand metres pole inbetween is an opportunity of a life time for an osu like kalu.

If animals like him who are the bane of corruption and nigerian syndromes are locked for their criminalities, insurgencies will fade out in nigeria.

This is a masterpiece. It made the picture of nigeria so glaring. It is like you can touch, you can feel, you can smell it and you can see, even when you are thousands of miles away.

Even if it just a tuber of yam a man stole,he is a thief. It is a crime and he must pay for it.

A thief is a thief, irrespective of the status, class, color or creed.

hoodboy: seeing that GEJ is probably a church member....
Of course,he has settled him like the militants.Like he has settled the oil barons, the senators, the bokoharams, the paedophiles, that halliburtons, the OBJs,the IBBs and all the underwolds of this world.

He uses our resources like he uses tissue paper.

Politics › Re: Tinubu To Be Honored With Egba's Highest Title by redsun(m): 10:52pm On Nov 10, 2012
Some yorubas are becoming openly self-destruct.How can they be collectively honouring a rogue traditionally?

That is the spirit of nigeria.A situation where immoralities have become moralities, where the elders are blind to the truth, because they dont know. The spirit of backardness and the spirit of extinction.

Helplessness.

Those are issues that should be bothering us,"enyim nwaoke".We are in some real deep shi-t as a people and that is what we should be concerned with.

And it is quite simple to solve-by making everybody accountable for their actions.Good should be rewarded, while bad at the same should be rewarded.
Politics › Re: Who Made Tinubu A Tax Man? by redsun(op): 5:46pm On Nov 08, 2012
hercules07: Lagosians were not paying tax, the state government did not have the means to identify and pursue these guys, Alpha Beta came and said, we will increase your revenue base from X billion to Y billion by identifying and blocking loopholes, we will also set up IT infrastructure for you to make tax collection easier, if we meet our target, we get a certain percentage, if not, we do not get our payment, ABC continually meets its targets and gets paid, go and ask Okonjo Iweala, the NCC guys how much consultants made from the debt forgiveness and GSM spectrum auction, it is capitalism and they have added value, I am sure there are other deals that one can hold Tinubu liable for, the ABC one is just normal business.
But could there have been other competent and independent indiginous companies with no personal ties tinubu or lagos state government taht could have done the same?

And funny enough, like you said, his government never bothered to set up appropriate tax scheme when he was incharge. Why was that?

hypeman: That's what happens when your outlook to life is confined to the forests around your village square...

Maybe, Andre and Redsun would educate you further... Most of the ad-libs I use aren't African American words - they're Black British words, of Caribbean origin..

Let me educate you a little bit:

- I use "you lot" - AAs say "y'all."
- I use "darg" - AAs say "dawg."
- I use "batty or bum" - AAs say "butt or booty."
- I use "bruv" - AAs say "brah."

etc.. learn and stop being ignorant, Mr. Globe... undecided
He is english schooled, while you are american schooled. It makes no difference, they are just alterations in oyinbo language.

And dont forget that what drives word are the people inquisitiveness, inventiveness and open mindedness.People abilities to reinvent, identify, exhibit and announce themselves. And what kills language are the exact opposites.

Identify in what sense? Are there not rules and guidelines that stipulates what companies, one man businesses and individuals pay as taxes on their gross incomes and earnings?

Why does he take an ex governor to do that?Is he a one-man tax evasion agaency?
What's the matter with you? This Oju Yobo's tax collection company is very efficient and it helps Lagos State with the collection of approx N300billion per year. Is a 10% compensation to the said company unreasonable? Do you not see that all SW states will enjoy higher tax revenues once SW Regionalization is complete? Would it not be better for the said company to gain N1trillion per year instead of ordinary N30billion per year?

We are not even talking about good toll roads throughout the new SW region. Good people and good companies, preferably owned by the usual suspects, outright or by proxy, will oun all the associated concessions.

Abeg make we hear word.
I know you are being sarcastic.

But that is a classic case of the more you look the less you scenario in a "progressive" state lagos, nigeria.

What tinubu,an imidiate incumbent governor is doing managing the revenue coffers of a government that he is no longer oblige by oat to protect is treacherous. It shows the lack of ethics, fairness, openess and impartiality in all arms and spheres of government in nigeria

On a treacherous bridge like that 55mph should be the speed limit.

Igbo is the smaller version africa and the world in general.

Every publicity is a good publicity. This Ogugua seems to be selling and she is the kind of nigerians that we need to put their heads together and free the masses from mental slavery. It doesnt have to be collective, but everybody should play their own little positive roles in helping to free the people from shackles of ignorance.Even if it means just speaking out.

I dont know much about her views in different, but i know she is a democrat based on her interest in american election, which is a positive sign and her fault here seems to be that she hit the point where it hurts. That ignorant igbos are part of nigerian problems too.
