diego2015: thanks, I already wrote them, they said they are booked till mid October so that can't be able to review my date backwards Guys, let us still be cautious in our mails to embassy. Remember they don't know about NL so it will not be appropriate telling them that some of our friends on NL are getting August Instead of focusing on interview date review, focus on your BA or SL. If you can get them done before interview, it will facilitate visa processing. Just an advice. Abeg, make NL be our underground . |

victree007: Hello House, I had my interview this morning 06/07/2018 in Lagos and thought it wise to share my transcript. The interview lasted less than 15 minutes. The multitude that came for interview today sha. It didn’t get to my turn until 9:20AM So here is how it all went;
VO: Have you funded? ME: Not exactly. I haven’t exactly decided whether or not I will use a BA or SL as my uncle is currently processing an SL in Munich for me. So the outcome will determine if I’ll be using a BA or SL
VO: Okay. Please read the information on this form and sign NB: It was a form containing blocked account confirmation details…
So I read and signed the form then passed it over to her.
VO: Why do you want to study in Germany? ME: I want to study in Germany because the country has some of the world's top universities for geosciences, which are ranked based on their reputation and research in the field. Also, the educational system is high-class and combines theoretical teaching and practical training with the goal of ensuring a lasting/perpetual innovation. The caliber of scientists and geologists that the country has produced over time is a testament to the quality of education currently being offered in Germany. This is why I want to study there.
VO: Masters or Bachelors ME: Masters
VO: What is the name of the course? ME: Masters in Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management
VO: What is the title of your BSc thesis? ME: Hydrogeological Study of Ekiadolor and Environs. I quickly asked if I should spell “Ekiadolor” for her and she said yes. After typing, I asked her to please repeat the spelling of the same (E-K-I-A-D-O-L-O-R) to be sure it was well spelt and she did.
VO: Why do you want to study this particular course? ME: The Sustainable Mining and Remediation Management programme is a critical aspect of Geology in which I want to carry out a geoscientific and an environmental research. This area of investigation is a build-up on my undergraduate thesis in Hydrogeology and it will give me the opportunity to conduct a research on the geochemistry of acid mine drainage and its impact on water and earth resources particularly around mining exploration communities. The skills and knowledge to be gained from this programme will readily make me become a better environmental hydrogeologist.
VO: Why not study this course in Nigeria? ME: The level of infrastructure and the quality of education offered in my home country cannot be compared to that in Germany especially when you consider some of the modules and internships involved in the programme and the fact that a teaching experimental mine is at the disposal of whoever studies this programme at TU Freiberg. Also, the unpredictable nature of education in Nigeria does not guarantee the completion of this kind of programme in record time.
VO: Why not study this course in US, UK and other English speaking countries ME: A key motivation for me is the level of flexibility of university programmes to meet the research needs of students as well as the affordable nature of education in Germany. NB: Me and VO go back and forth about this question before we finally agree for this response sha o If she asks any question that doesn’t carry Germany in it, she will ask you not to mention anything about Germany in your response as well. I no know how to explain the thing pass like this.
VO: What do you know about Germany? As we reach this question, for my mind I say we die here
ME: Germany is located in the central-western part of Europe Its capital and largest city is Berlin Germany has a largely temperate seasonal climate with population of about 82,8 million people Germany is the most populous member state of the European Union and the second most populous after Russia in Europe Germany is one of the world’s largest technologically advanced economies and It is both the world's third-largest exporter and importer of goods Being an eco-friendly nation, Germany is currently researching about ways to transition from mainstream energy sources to renewable energy such as solar and wind energy. Then she cuts in and asked me to wait for her to type…
ME: Can I continue the story telling?
VO: Yes please go ahead
ME: Okay. Germany operates a federal, parliamentary and democratic/representative system of government where Frank-Walter Steinmeier is the president and head of state while Angela Merkel is the chancellor and head of government in Germany. During the period of Allied occupation, two German states were founded: West Germany, formed from the American, British and French occupation zones which formed the federal republic of Germany and East Germany, formed from the Soviet occupation zone. Which also formed German democratic republic On October 3, 1990, the unification of…..
VO: It’s okay It’s okay It’s okay. You want to fill up my computer with what you know about Germany, I can already see you know about a lot embassy. For my mind I come dey say aunty na you say make I fire down like caro nao.
Eventually we both laughed to her “You want to fill up my computer” comment and then she told me that’s all, we are through with the interview.
ME: Can I ask you a question please?
VO: The interview has ended nao what else do you want again?
ME: That form you asked me to read and sign which contains the blocked account confirmation details, does signing it invalidate provision of sponsorship letter?
VO: No it does not. You can forward us either your blocked account confirmation or the sponsorship letter. Anyone is fine.
ME: Thank you for satisfying my curiosity. Have a nice day NB: VO didn’t even ask any information regarding the sponsor I mentioned I have in Munich
I made sure I asked that the last question because a lot of people have been coming here to say once you sign that form you can no longer use SL in place of BA. I doubt if any of such people ever asked their respective VOs this same question before arriving at that conclusion. Well there you have it from the horse’s mouth – Signing that BA confirmation form does not invalidate SL in anyway. VO’s word, not mine. Thanks Victoree for sharing this information. |

Rosicky7: It's funny how you said the bolded part as if you work in the embassy. Personally I don't feel there's any right or wrong way to request for appointment. The major thing is that you provide the information they asked for. There's a probability he hasn't gotten a date yet because he applied on Friday evening, which is a weekend... (have you thought about that?) I applied on a Thursday night, Friday was a German holiday, I got my date on Monday which coincidentally was a Nigerian holiday! So there's a possibility he might still get his date today.
And talking about the address, I sent mine as Surulere Lagos. Embassy asked of place of residence, and not residential address...
Abeg let's stop saying things that we might not be sure of as if they are facts! My two cents. Peace You are absolutely right. Why I actually wrote that is because it happened to my friend. He was writing and providing to many explanations. Embassy ignored him. When he was corrected by a friend, he just provided the information that was requested and he got a date. Well, I was too blunt sha, so many factors have to be considered too. Thanks for the correction, let's see how his own goes. My prayer is that he gets a date. |

Attached to the mail is a copy of my: Admission letter, Acceptance letter, Account opening confirmation from Sutor Bank, and Passport.
Thanks in anticipation for your prompt response.
Kind regards Name xyz MA Philosophy & Economics student University of Bayreuth You can't get a date with this write up. It's too long and there's no address. Sample: Name: Okafor Ibrahim Olusola Address: No 40, Thread 5 street, German Visa City, Nairaland State. Attached are my admission letter, passport and block account opening confirmation. No much write up. You might be ignored if you write too much. Also use an unambiguous subject eg; APPLICATION FOR VISA BOOKING DATE APPLICATION FOR VISA INTERVIEW APPLICATION FOR STUDENT VISA INTERVIEW APPLICATION FOR STUDENT VISA BOOKING APPLICATION FOR STUDENT VISA BOOKING DATE. Just vary it a bit. It wouldn't be smart for 1000 people to be using exactly the same Subject. If you are using SL indicate it and remove BA I quoted. |

Thank you as Always! Hello, I will advice you to use daad.de/en. Search for your school and course . Your course website have what you need and if there's discrepancies, you can send a mail to them and you'll surely be given the right response. Different schools with different rules. Oma255: For those who want to use form A to fund their account, this is my experience on how I did mine.
First, I went to first Bank head office in marina by 10am on the 21/06/18 with all my the required documents: Fintiba make the transfer Admission letter Official living cost breakdown from my school Bsc certificate copy Passport data page copy After much talk, the lady insist that i cannot use the form A as I am not sending it to the schools account. I saw this coming base on other people’s previous post, so I quickly transfer my fund to my Stanbic account as I don’t have time to waste.
After, I went to Stanbic IBTC head office close to the embassy by 12:30pm. Though they said form A is possible but the rate the banker gave me was way higher than the black market rate as of that day 429.50 euro meanwhile black market was 420 euro and charges of about #34k naira .I wasn’t convinced, so I transfer my fund again to my Zenith bank account.
Then, I arrived Zenith head office in V.I by 2pm same day. After enquiry, they said it possible that a student going to Germany even did it last week so I became relax finally after the whole stress and disappointment. I filled the form with my account fully funded. I was charged a total of #10,250 Naira and the rate they used was 421.13 euro x 8829 and I got my Fintiba Confirmation exactly 5 working days from the day of transaction 27/06/18.
P.S. When I went to Zenith head office in Ajose Adeogun v.i, they directed me to their Trade Services Department in Zion/ Zenion building plot 2 3 floor in the same street about 6 buildings away from their head office. I hope this helps as I did my best to break everything down. Also, this is a way of me giving back as I have benefited a lot from reading part 3 up to the current page. May God bless you for this info. Success is yours bro |

Lalaski001: With my heart finally at ease and full of joy, I wish to announce that my Almighty AM has dropped.
My journey started around this same time last year. I initially wanted to go to Norway and started following the thread, but I somehow stumbled on the German thread and I have been on it from that day. I don't go a day without opening the thread and I have read from part 2 to the last page on the current part.
I applied to about 3 schools for summer semester 2018. They all rejected me (with good reasons though) except for FAU that rejected me just because of cetification. I was heartbroken.
I only applied to those 3 schools for summer because I didn't want to go through UNIASSIST because of financial reasons.
TIMELINE:
Applied for Admission: 02-12-2017 Opened Fintiba: 20-12-2017 Received Admission: 13-02-2018 Interview: 28-05-2018 Sent blocked account confirmation: 15-06-2018 AM dropped: 25-06-2018.
I am not sure where I am going yet. I have admission for University of Freiberg. (Environmental Geoscience)
Still expecting from Leibniz universitat Hannover (Water Resourses and Environmental Management), University of Bayreuth( Environmental Geography) and Kiel (Marine Geoscience).
The one month wait for the AM was really a tough one. Even though I was very confident of my interview, I was still kinda worried.
Thank you all for all the assistance here. I use myself as a point of contact to all those still expecting, it will get to us all in Jesus name.
Onto the next phase.
God is faithful. Congrats brother |

osas87: #####Boring But interesting and worth reading#####
first came in contact with this thread in mid 2017. I decided to apply for summer but couldnt find any course related to my undergraduate program. I then decided to apply for Biomedical engineering.
GBAM!!! I was given a capital rejection letter by January 2018. I decided to chill first since I was waiting for IELTS result which I wrote on 6/1/2018. IELTS came out, made 7.0... This encouraged me to applying for winter. This time arround, there were serveral courses of my choice. Applied for 4 programs in H-BRS, uni Bonn, Uni ULM and Jena. got admitted into H-BRS and was rejected by uni Bonn amd ULM. Still waiting for jena up till this moment.
Fast forward to my interview 18/05/2018:
had a 2-day journey prior to my interview. lodged at a hotel inside bonny Cantonment.
Got to the embassy around past 6am, those passport guys tried to persuade me into taking anoda set of passport photograhs but I adamant in my refusal to change my mind not knowing I was not carrying the right passport spec. Mind you, I tried opening the link to the passport spec several times but to little or no avail, the network was always messing me up. I asked here about the spec and I got a reply "35 by 45". I didnt know my face was suppose to cover about 80% of the passport.
Few minutes befor 7am, mr paulinus arrived, called out to those of us for student visa. We were about 3 at that time so he decided to attend to the 3 of us.
He gave instruction to the first guy, came to me and shouted, "did I ask you to stand there? I will chase u out of this place"
For my mind I don enter.. Then I adjust. He took my application forms and my appointment email printout (placed inside my international passport) and placed them on 3 chairs without saying a word to me. He went to the first guy again, asked for declaration accordin to page 54 blah blah blah, the guy brought them out and placed on the already arranged app forms. I brought out the declaration forms, trying to arrange them when He came shouting at me " I told you befor, original here, photocopy here, my friend leave this place". For my mind, I say I don die... Chai!!! Na him I waka like confused person go back ooo....
After every every, I scaled through and went inside then I realised that my passport was not of the right spec. This time, see sweat for my body. I come be like who nor well. The guy next to me tried to calm me down after I told him about the passport foto issue but I pray ooo, I was still disturbed.
Finally I wad called into room 4 where I was interviewed by a young Nigerian lady.
VO: Goodmorning
Me: Goodmorning ma (my situation humble me finish)
VO: let me ve ur original documents. And the photocopies.
V.O : Masters or Bsc
Me: Masters ma
V.O: ve u funded
Me: yes ma
VO: ve you learnt the language?
Me: I am learning through youtube and google translator ( stammering)
VO: what school?
Me : Hochschule Bonn Rhein sieg (pronounced the Hochshule like a proper nigerian)
She looked at me and said " and you said you have been learning the language? Dont worry, let me get it from your admission letter. Congrats bro So the passport spec wasn't an issue. |

dolpaz: Hi,
Let me take my time to explain some of the process of obtaining PR "According to my City" and with the best of my knowledge.
First, you need to understand that there´re certain courses that get you jobs faster. If your´re studying a STEM course, then you´re qualified to access the job market easily. STEM means Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. However, you need to have some good command of German even if you work with a Multinational firm. I worked with one and I know why am saying this.
I´ll paint the real and true story here without mincing words.
First, some German does not believe blacks can attain some position and also engage in some challenging task. they get awed when they see blacks over perform at work place especially in Medicine, IT, Engineering. I think they believe our background is not strong enough or something. More-so, their orientation is that most "LAGER" jobs are meant to be done by blacks maybe because of our strength and of course the money involved... I mean working with company like Benz, VW, Amazon, these guys pays really good but they´ll stretch you to the limit. don´t get swayed, a black working in the Office settings is achievable but you have to be on top of your game.
LAGER = FACTORY **
Secondly, When it comes to full time jobs not Aushilfe, or Werkstudent or Holiday jobs which every student can get easily, we are at the bottom ebb of the employment chain. Especially if you have your first degree in another country and perhaps have a Msc in Germany, they tend to consider Germans first, followed by EU candidates, then students with German Arbitur (whether Africa or Asia) because the German Arbitur(Bsc) is very challenging coupled with some technical courses. This they believe would have given you a solid background. Then comes the Americans, Canadians, Asians (Chinese, Japan, e.t.c) South Asian, Africans in that pecking order. Getting a full time jobs allows you access to some financial opportunities like house and car loans and so much but still, Its doable and you´ll have to be well knowledgeable in your field. Now this is where German knowledge plays an important role.. you´re in the office and the Germans are gossiping about you and how they want to frustrate you out of the office, you can easily intercept/decode the communication easily and perhaps escalate it further. Lots happens in the office. though, I have never experience any but I hear stories. The moment you make a little mistake, they report to the boss and its all in GERMAN. They´ll come back laughing with you but hey, you´re being crucified behind closed doors. Also, emails, news and Ads will all be in German and you´ll not like to bore your colleague by always asking him to translate for you cos he´s also on a tight deadline.. you could use google translate but at times, the translation may be wrong and you could be carrying the wrong message. So biko if you have the time and wanna settle here.. LEARN GERMAN LANGUAGE. ITS THE MEAL TICKET HERE !!!
So after getting a job in your FIELD OF STUDY you need to pay your taxes, Insurance and Socials consecutively into the German system for Minimum of 24 months. This will obviously grant you a Niederlassungserlaubnis (Also known as Permanent Resident Permit). But prior to getting the Niederlassung, you can get the so called EU blue card with your job contract. This would allow you to work anywhere in Europe. But its advisable to work in Germany and pay your taxes right there so you can get the PR. If you work in another EU country, then your PR could be extended. The EU blue card can be requested for immediately you get a FULL-TIME job with 40 hours per week and minimum of a certain income.. I think from 2200€ per month after every deductions have been made.
Thirdly, if you are not in the STEM category but would love to earn a PR, you can also work as a Freelancer after your study but in your FIELD. Ensure you have a proof of constant remittance of taxes and socials into the German system for 2 years and you can go ahead to apply. Germany does not joke with taxes and they frown deeply at defaulters. Its not rocket science but people are getting it and Nigerians especially. I need to state here that the system and Law is very complicated and even Germans working in the Auslanderbehorde gets confused. Just do the needful and never try to circumvent or bypass the system.
Lastly, ensure you keep a clean RECORD, don´t dent your Police Character report also known as Führungszeugnis. Once dented, it´s a stigma for life which will follow you everywhere you go. Don´t bypass Taxes, avoid jumping trains and tram without a valid ticket, don´t get into trouble. Live a simple and God fearing life, respect the law, Ignore mofo´s and Racist everywhere you find them and remember to reference God in everything.
May God bless our hustle
I drop my Pen here....!
Wishing everyone Success
Gemeinsam sind wir starke !!! Together we are Strong !!! This is awesome. Thanks bro |

If I doubt you, I already doubt you for saying its 10# per page and what concerns CBN with money being paid for certification at a High Court. I will be going back there later today and Will give better information. It's not actually CBN. It's called remita. Certification according to federal government is N10/page. That is the exact amount that goes into the account. I did my certification in Asaba. The amount I paid using remita is N400 for 36 pages. But the thieves in the office in charge of certification insisted I pay N3,000 to them before they could stamp my document. Nigeria is a messed up country guys. |

Please I have some questions. 1) Can Master applicant from Delta state book his visa interview in Abuja?
2) Is there a trick to get it done if it's not permitted?
3) Please the fintiba total blocking amount is €8829?.
4) Who has successfully blocked using FORM A recently? Can you tell us the rate or the exact amount deducted from your account?
Thanks all |

Okikiayo1: Please how many weeks did it take uniassist to send you your vpd ? When did u send them your documents and when did they reply you Their website specified 4-6 weeks but it doesn't have to be up to 4 weeks. They received my documents on 7th and I got my VPD on 16 (soft copy). Just ensure you send a complete document so that they don't request you to send missing document. |
