They thought he'd be an easy tool since he had already branded the refinery as a scam. But offering $500 to somebody like David is quite a big insult. malali: This piece attempts to weave a grand conspiracy of Western powers plotting against Africa, using environmental concerns as a guise to undermine Nigeria’s refinery efforts. However, the argument presented is riddled with inconsistencies and lacks a clear understanding of the broader issues at hand. First, the idea that Western NGOs are solely responsible for Africa’s underdevelopment is a dangerous oversimplification. While it’s true that international interests have played a role in shaping Africa’s economic landscape, blaming them for every challenge Africa faces ignores the complexities of governance, corruption, and economic mismanagement within the continent itself. African leaders, businesses, and institutions must also be held accountable for their role in the current state of affairs.... ChãtGPT says hi. |

LegendHero: Cool. I laugh when people mention the small increase in electricity supply is due to rainy season. Thats a lie coz most of Nigeria plant is thermal.
So how does thermal and rain relate? Nigeria's power is anchored by hydro. That's why every year, between May and November, power is very regular, due to the rains. We can only say there's an improvement when our power generation hits 10,000 mw, not now that it has continued to revolve around 4-5,000mw. This is not supposed to be rocket science. |

What did they achieve with the increase if not to take substantial chunk of the fund back to the forex to increase demand for it and worsen the situation? So, is that why Nigerians are currently protesting?? Are the protests against the governors?? Are the governors responsible for the removal of fuel subsidy?? |

The way the FG keeps on harping on increase in revenue generation and FARC sharing shows that they are economic illiterates. The increase is due to our poor exchange rate which also consequentially reduces the value. The value of ₦2bn of 1 years ago is now around ₦750m. Is this so hard to understand?? |

Drainage most time cost far more than roads Government need to give u more roads so tht people like u can say they are working u can write government in full, but can't write 'you' in full. mrvitalis: Lmaooo? U have resources more than UK?. Oga your oil wealth is less than 15 billion dollars that's less than tax revenue if Manchester UK You don't need extra money to build roads with sidewalks. It's true that Nigeria is very poor in terms of govt earnings, but the issue of bad road construction and city planning is not due to lack of funds, but the absence of govt standards. In developed countries, if you construct a building different from the approval you've received, it'll be demolished. But here in Nigeria, aside Lagos and Abuja, there are no city planning building regulations, so people just build their houses anyhow they like without following any patterns. |
