Ukraine is a country with minimal military(virtually nonexistent). Russia on the other hand has been heavily militarized over centuries. Ukraine had next to no weapons unlike Russia with billions of dollar of weapons and huge defence budgets. Ukraine is clearly not a country Russia should be boasting about overcoming irrespective of the impromptu support and aid they are getting.

If my point is out of place, why would NATO travelled thousands of kilometer from Europe to Libya to help anti-govt coalition fight against Gaddafi govt? Or while would Turkey invaded Cyprus to annexed Northern Cyprus? Or why are the Biafrans calling for foreign help to actualise independence? Or why would NATO support a group (Kosovo) of people in Serbia to gain independence. This is the world we live in. It is not fair. But It has happened in the past and it will continue to happen.

Is NATO helping anyone fight anybody?

In Ukraine, there are different ethnic groups. We have ethnic Russians, ethnic Ukrainians, ethnic Hungarians and ethnic Romanians. But the ethnic Ukrainians and ethnic Russians are the majorities.

Ukraine ambition to join the EU, cause divide among Ukrainians which give birth to pro-Russians and the pro-West. The pro-Russians starting protesting against Ukraine joining the West. Then the govt starting clapping down on them. The nationalist battalion called the Azov battalion were used by the govt to intimidate, maltreat & kill the pro-Russians, in other to force them to abandon their cause. At a point the pro-Russians decided to arm themselve and fight back. So they grew very strong (with the help Russia) and started seizing territories in Crimea & Donbass. They were able to seize part of Lugansk and Donestsk and other territories.

Now when Zelensky became the president. He was hard on the pro-Russians. He banned Russian language, he banned pro-Russian media, seized assets of the pro-Russians e.t.c.

Before February this year. Zelensky was preparing to attack the pro-Russian separatists and take back the territory they seized. He went to the West and ask for military support. The West trained & armed the Ukraine soldiers, these soldiers were sent to frontline on Donbas. Last year Ukraine started using Turkish drone to attack the separatists in preparation for the main offensive and that was when Russia decides to interfer.

Putin believes that Russia is under the obligation to protect the Russian speakers. He tried to negotiate but both Ukraine and the West were not interested. He told Ukraine to implement the Minsk aggrement which was signed by the EU, Ukraine & Russia. The proposal was rejected. Then he invaded.

This is the same thing Turkey did to Cyprus. Turkey invaded and annexed Northern Cyprus to protect ethnic Turkish.

According to your own submission, pro Russians got help from Russia, became strong and started seizing territories while still part of Ukraine. That's treason and if your imaginary pro-western Ukraine had been truly harsh, they would have wiped those areas out of earth's map long ago but didn't.

That's like Tinubu becoming President then invading Benin Republic or Togo because of some fabricated lies of oppression against Yoruba's there. Or like Buhari invading Niger republic, Camerooun, Ghana, Mali, Kenya or Chad to protect Fulani folks there. Since when did ethnicity began to override sovereignty?

Stop supporting evil people out to massage their own ego and nothing else. Even with Russia. The rus ethnic group are just using the other groups as cannon fodder. That's why the protests against conscriptions are more intense in non rus dominated areas like Dagestan.

if he was in Ukraine to deter them from NATO membership, why take territories? Why did he spread out in his initial invasion and not just focus on Kyiv?

Listening to advice from some Nigerians self is discouraging and pathetic. People are coming to Lagos with lesser amount than that to start and life. Some with hard work have managed to make it out here. They are a lot of opportunities and businesses to start in Lagos with less than 500k, or you think 500k is small money to you? There are a lot of places to live under 200k per annum in Lagos, even under 150k self.

@OP, you can be proficient by December as you said but understand programming is such a wide field. There is OS, Batch, Kernel, DB, Enterprise, AI and Many other programming. What you are doing is just mastering a few complementary languages/ stacks to intermediate level. There are beginners, intermediate, expert, and architect level in most IT field including programming.
