I've tried severally to educate a lot of people about the the role played by Ifeajuna in the coup but the false lie that Nzeogwu led the coup is so entrenched. Ifeajuna actually led the coup and he was also responsible for the failure of the coup. Nzeogwu and Ademoyega were brilliant guys who simply wanted a revolution similar to the Cuban revolution and an end to the corruption of the political class. Ifeajuna on the other hand was an egoistic beast and tribal bigot who pretended to want a similar revolution but secretly had a different plan to entrench an Igbo political ruling class on the country. His bigotry led to the ethnicization of the killings and the eventual failure of the coup.

Wale Ademoyega was so mad at him that when he met him in Calabar prison, he gave him the beating of his life.

It will be better to give out NGN10million to 10,000 verified small business owners yearly and also convert NYSC to National Youth Entrepreneurship Development Service Year whereby graduates will be trained in different profitable businesses and trades based on their talent, course of study and interest/passion.


Reduce the service year to 3 months intensive camp training where government will feed them, and as they are passing out, you give each corper a startup capital of NGN5million to venture into his or her acquired camp skill.



Any corper that opts to take the NGN5million FG startup capital grant will deposit his or her NYSC discharge certificate, and returnable after 10 years to discourage them from going to seek for paid job after collecting the business startup grant, while those that don't want to deposit their NYSC certificate will be given NGN500,000 grant.



Do this for 10 years and watch Nigeria become a hub of small and medium scale enterprise with reduced unemployment and underemployment rates.

I have an update for this post.

So, Wema Bank finally got back to me this Saturday evening. They says they'd fixed the issue with my card and apologized for the inconveniences. Although it took almost five days to get a response from them, I'm glad they actually replied with a solution instead of the usual gaslighting you typically get from Nigerian banks. Yes, it's working now!! The monthly limit is $500, but I don't mind. Who even get thousands of dollars to spend these days😄? So, yes, Wema Bank's naira Mastercard works!


So, the news broke about three weeks ago that Wema Bank has brought back the naira Visa and Mastercard. It was the best news I've heard in a year as I look forward to a hassle-free transactions, especially to pay for my website's SEO support.

So, I waited a week to see if other banks will follow suit. I was pretty sure Wema is just the first, and that offer banks like First Bank and Zenith (where I already have accounts) will make their own announcements in the following week. Wrong.

Other banks will probably join Wema in this aspect, but I couldn't wait anymore. So, I headed into a Wema Bank branch last week Wednesday and opened a savings account. I asked about the Mastercard availability before even filling the account opening form. They assured me the thing is real. Me equals very happy.

I returned to the bank on Tuesday this week to get the card. Me equals happiness again the moment I was handed the purple card with Mastercard's logo at the bottom right and my name on the left. Will it work for online transactions? Wilco, they assured me.

Back home, it was time to experience something I've missed since Buhari's administration. I waited till the next day, though. My first attempt with my shiny newly acquired Mastercard was to pay for a diib subscription to support my website. My heart skipped a beat when the otp landed in my phone. Sadly, the transaction ended with: "your card has been declined."

Note: I have more than enough balance in my account. My heart sank. It just reminded me that most of these naira MasterCards were just in name and not function even before the ban. For example, I had FCMB and Ecobank Mastercards that never worked. Only my First Bank Mastercard worked like a charm back then.

Well, I've emailed Wema Bank requesting an explanation. That was yesterday; still awaiting their reply.

The important thing is to de-escalate tensions and look for a diplomatic solution. Nigeria will not gain anything from open conflict from France and US trained Niger backed by Russia. I still wonder why Buhari was not drafted to negotiate. He's popular there. Something is amiss.

I hope Nigeria survives with the renaissance Obi is bringing forth. Otherwise, if it collapses it's going to be bloody. The Ijaws like violence but it will only lead to their extinction if they ever challenge Igbos. They will be completely outnumbered and routed. While Igbos can raise an army of 5 million at short notice and they would be United in one accord, Ijaws doesn't have any centralized union and worse still they have relatively small population.

Kalahari, nembe, Bonny, and the other clans in bayelsa will be busy fighting over who controls which section similar to what Tompolo and Asari are doing today.

The Ijaws also lack the kind of intelligentia and technology at the disposal of Igbos. With just Yenegoa as the only standard city in their domain, straffing it by air is enough to put the rest of their country in disarray.

Nobody wants to join a losing side, the moment Opobo and Bonny people realize that Ijaw nation has been reduced to pockets of clans ruled by warlords, they would either decide to join Igbos to enjoy stability and progress or opt to be independent island states. Either way, Ijaw nation will be forever screwed.

It will be a similar situation to the South Sudan situation where they've been fighting themselves since gaining independence.

Unfortunately, Ijaws lack the vital ingredients to successfully run a country. They lack a central authority, no middle class, no unifying language, little or no diaspora that can mount pressure on the government, and lastly a disjointed territory that can breed warlords.

When I see some ignorant Ijaws asking for independence, I just shake my head. Without a big ethnic group to act as a stabilizing force, ijaws will descend to anarchy.

Meanwhile, let's pray that Nigeria succeeds and progresses else there will be doom.

The situation in Ukraine is very similar to that between us Igbos and Ijaws we were all together in Eastern Region and perhaps someday, Nigeria regrettably seize to be united, I know for sure that it is very unlikely that Ijaws and Igbos would form one country despite sharing Eastern Region, first Opobo would get same treatment like Crimea was annexed by Russia in 2024, only this time it would be Igbos doing it.

Bonny would most likely get the Donbass Region treatment maybe true a peaceful referendum or a sham one like Russia is about doing in the secessionist regions. If Russia conducts that Refendum and those regions vote to join Russia which no one can interfere becuase Russia has earlier seized the territory, it means Russia has same obligations to protect those regions same as mainland Russia. That obligation includes the use of nukes, that's however a story for another day.

The summary, I'm an observer in the Russian Ukraine war, not taking much of a side but I can see similar situation playing out in Eastern Nigeria between the Igbos and the Ijaws, it would be in their best interest to leave out Ethic Igbo groups out of the Ijaw Republic or Niger Delta Republic, the major reason why Russia is succeeding in winning the people of the secessionist regions is becuase they are ethnic Russians. I hope the Ijaws learn, this is not a threat to war nor a plea for peace, it is the maxim.

Kids they say can be naughty at times,but in this case,I refused to CAP.

This morning my kids(daughter) really got on my last remaining isoko nerves,and I was furious spitting missiles and RPG.

Out of anger,I had to get them food each in their coolers and I sent my son who spent time there playing, forgetting he has to go to school.I deliberately refused getting them snacks just to punish them.

They returned back from school,my son,my son requested for roasted plantain,and beans and Ugba as lunch.

Whilst my daughter requested for noodles and fried egg.i even went extra miles of adding 3 meats to my boys order and completely forgot to include *Ugba**

Just to appease him I even added fanta cola to bribe him,he still insisted**Mummy m not going to eat.
