black market impeachment |
Millions of celebrities can not save Jonathan from being disgracefully and shamefully defeated in the 2015 election, even if the Late Michael Jackson resurrects and joins the train. Jonathan has lost his popularity and it is irredeemable. |
These sycophants and political jobbers will never tell Jonathan the truth. The fact remains that the people of south west and Nigeria as a whole are tired of this government. Youths in the south west are yearning for a change. This suffering can not be endured for another four years. Anyway, the beneficiaries of this insensitive govt have every right to seek support for their benefactor. And the Nigerian masses are ready to pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to ensure the survival and the success of liberty.

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has cautioned his aides against verbal attack on the person and government of Governor Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State over the crisis in the Houses of Assembly of both states. In a statement made available to newsmen in Ado Ekiti on Friday, the governor said that the media attack on Oshiomhole was the result of the zealousness of his (Fayose’s) aides and said he had asked them to stop forthwith. The statement added that the governor had to “tender unreserved apology to the Governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomole, for the actions of some of his aides who might have, out of zealousness, disrespected or dragged the person of the governor of Edo State in the issues of Ekiti House of Assembly matters that does not concern him in some of the national dailies.” Governor Fayose asserted that he “has great respect for Governor Oshiomhole” adding that “any attempt by any of my aides to insult or disrespect any personality like Governor Oshiomole would attract severe disciplinary action.” The statement added that “issues in Ekiti State should stop in Ekiti State and should not go beyond Ekiti State and no personality should be dragged or insulted in issues that don’t concern them. We may today have party differences but our goal must be targeted at service to humanity.”http://tribune.com.ng/news/news-headlines/item/22191-fayose-apologises-to-oshiomhole-warns-aides-against-insulting-people |

The Inspector General of Police, Abba Sulaiman may have given orders for the arrest of Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Daily Trust has learnt. Sources told Daily Trust a similar order has been handed down to the Department of State Security (DSS.) The orders were given following the fracas that broke out at the National Assembly on Thursday where members of the House of Representatives were confronted by armed security personnel who threw canisters of teargas at the speaker and other lawmakers to stop them from accessing the parliament building. The speaker and some of his colleagues who supported him beat the security cordon and later held a brief plenary thereby stopping some members in their tracks who had gathered protected by scores of Police and DSS operatives to initiate impeachment proceedings against the leadership of the House. Sources at the Police headquarters revealed that the Police chief gave the order for Tambuwal's arrest after a meeting with Vice President Namadi Sambo and the National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki. "I can confirm to you that the order for his arrest has been given today (Friday). The signal from the IG's office specifically directed the FCT and Sokoto State commissioners of Police to serve Tambuwal with notice of invitation to the force headquarters and if he resists, he should be arrested immediately, “the source revealed. "The involvement of Sokoto CP was because the Speaker was sighted in Sokoto on Friday where he picked the All Progressive Congress (APC) governorship form for the coming elections. It was assumed that he was out of Abuja as such other police divisions were involved in the matter." Sources at the meeting in Villa indicate that both the Vice President and the NSA chastised the Police boss for the failure of his men to prevent Speaker from entering the national assembly premises. "The NSA was particularly angry and told the IG in clear terms that he doesn't know his job. He said how did the Speaker and the members break a cordon organised by the FCT Police commissioner. The NSA then made it clear that the Police authorities must rectify the anomalies or they will face the consequences. The IG then said Tambuwal will be arrested for questioning.”http://dailytrust.com.ng/daily/top-stories/40155-breaking-inspector-general-of-police-order-arrest-of-speaker-tambuwal |

Senator Jim Nwobodo yesterday narrated how his son, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Nwobodo jnr died following the alleged negligence of a doctor. Nwobodo said his son was cured at the Anderson Medical Cancer Centre in Houston, Texas, United States. He said Ifeanyichukwu was asked to stay longer in the U.S. but he wanted to return because he was feeling homesick. The former governor of the old Anambra State said his son developed pains in the legs and he was taken to a consultant oncologist at the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu. He added that the doctor, instead of taking him to the teaching hospital, which had facilities for emergency, referred his son to his private clinic. According to Nwobodo, the injection administered on his son led to complications. The senator spoke yesterday when Abia State Governor Theodore Orji visited him in Enugu. Nwobodo said the doctor tried to rush his son to Niger Foundation Hospital, but he died on the way. He said: “My son was ill for five months before I knew about it and we were planning to go to India before we took him to the U.S. He was given a visa for two years because the cancer was at stage four, but they treated him. “When he came back, his leg started to swell and he thought he should see a doctor and I advised him to see the best oncologist. It took us three weeks to see the doctor. ‘’Ön Friday – I was speaking with him three times a day – and he was to see the doctor by 5pm and between 5:30 and 6pm, I called him and he said he was with the doctor, I requested to speak with the doctor but he said he was busy but instead of the doctor taking him to UNTH, he took him to his private clinic, where he had no equipment, no facility at all. I called him again and when I didn’t hear from him I sent him text and I asked the doctor to tell me why he gave my son injection that made him unconscious, he said he was sorry and that he was trying to resuscitate him. “I spoke with him by 6:30pm and by 7 pm he was dead. “It is painful because this is something that would have been averted and I can’t understand why a dean of Department of Medicine should leave the hospital where he has all the equipment to go to his private clinic and I believe that is how some other people die.”http://thenationonlineng.net/new/how-doctor-killed-my-son-by-nwobodo/ |

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aminu Tambuwal, on Tuesday, opted out of the race for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress. The Speaker made his decision public in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen, in Abuja. Tambuwal said the decision to suspend his bid was taking after due consultation and consideration of the overall interest of the party. He equally noted that going ahead with such a bid at this time would alter calculations on the political chess board of the APC. The Speaker stressed that when he received the Presidential nomination forms, he was convinced that he had what it takes to make a difference. This, he said, led him to embark on extensive consultations towards taking a decision on whether to participate or not – not to actualise a personal ambition, but rather to actualize our dream for a new Nigeria. The statement partly read, “Having consulted widely, taking into consideration the concerns of some elders of the party, I have decided to suspend my participation in the presidential contest for now.”http://www.punchng.com/news/tambuwal-suspends-presidential-bid/ |
In further confirmation of NewsPunch.org report headlined, Under Pressure Tambuwal sets to withdraw Presidential ambition; the speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Aminu Tambuwal, has withdrawn his presidential ambition, that has polarized All Progressives Congress, APC and will soon declare his intention to join the Sokoto State governorship race on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC). Though some members of the House had purchased the APC presidential nomination forms for Tambuwal, urging him to go for the highest office in the land, a chieftain of the Sokoto APC confided last night that the stakeholders in the state preferred that the speaker contest the state’s governorship. The embattled Speaker who had on Friday told Journalists in Abuja that he had accepted the challenge but would continue to consult on the matter recapitulated Monday night. An APC stalwart, who sought anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the matter, disclosed to NewsPunch.org that necessary plans had been put in place to enable Tambuwal declare for the Sokoto State governorship seat on the platform of the APChttp://www.newspunch.org/breaking-tambuwal-drops-presidential-ambition-at-last-2/ |
