Sports / Re: FIFA Women's W/cup: Tinubu, Atiku, Others Hail Super Falcons Despite Loss by ReubenE(m): 12:54pm On Aug 07, 2023
festacman:
So sad to lose in this way. Working hard all day and then lost it to poor penalties.

I still doubt whether Super Falcons prepared for penalty and drew up list of takers according strengths before this match. We had this match when England lost their first penalty but the managers order of penalty takers killed it.

Still super proud of Super Falcons. Made the European champion English Lionesses look ordinary. Made Nigeria and Africa proud.

Now, time to go for African Women Cup of Nations as the least compensation while preparing for next World Cup. NFF should swallow its pride and retain the manager to continue moulding the team rather bring in another new hands.
I think you are right with the bold in my suspicion as well.

We did not prepare for penalty and certainly did not prepare to play against a ten player situation. When we had the advantage, we were still playing wrong long balls that we made nothing out of in order for the opposition not to catch us on the counter. Building play from the ground and charging our attack to be more decisive in the final third would have yielded a better result as our midfield and defense was largely okay. Allowing Alozie (one of the least experienced) to take that second penalty kick after we missed the first is another contestable decision especially from the buildup of enormous pressure after missing the first kick.

Like what most people say, penalty is a game of luck so we must rely on that to heal our wounds, but Nigeria blew away a very big chance to progress to the next stage.

It might be not fake.

I collected my NYSC certificate two years after I completed it.
On the last day when certificates were given, some few of us certificates were missing and we were told to go to head office in abuja to collect ours.

I went twice to abuja for it, I live in kwara.
I had to give bribe at head office in abuja the second time I went there before they were committed to do it for me.
Oh please!!!

You have a code during your service year. They can't just put any date they like on your certificate. The information on your certificate is from a sequence and must tally with every other certificate issued during your service year.
You collected your own at a later date does not mean yours will carry your completion of service year/date as 06/Aug/2023 presumably you collected it today while you served 2 years ago.

His certificate is saying November of the year he is claiming to pass out, while the signature on the certificate is showing that of a Brigadier General that became NYSC DG in January 2023.
Does the above still relate to your case

at least google is free.
You don't have a solid background for this your argument, at least not in the context of the topic of discourse.

Kwara- Illorin is Yoruba land, or at least was Yoruba land.

South-West is a political term that cannot be used to describe the ethnicity or nativity of a group of people. It is just like the geographical Niger Delta and the political Niger Delta where Abia and Imo are included for political convenience.
Saying or even inferring that Kwara is not in the South-West therefore is not Yoruba is a repugnant argument. If you are actually Yoruba, then your line of argument or whatever point you are trying to make is a mockery of your ethnicity whilst in your attempt to defend it.

It's a time I told you all why President Tinubu is hell-bent in Niger.

He knows that if such continue, such might happen here in Nigeria, knowing very well that the people are tired of notorious administration and the diabolism that associates Nigeria electoral process.
The above is the whole truth.

If it is allowed to hold in Niger, there would be domino effect here in Nigeria, not as a matter of if, but a matter of when.
That is what President Tinubu and others are obsessed with.

News like this become palatable when you as a leader give your actions different rooms for interpretation.

What is the president doing with "pick and drop" of ministers early on in his administration? I mean like in this teething stage. Not like he is dropping a minister that is not performing, he is doing pick and drop while nominating.
Ministerial nomination, he has sent list three times in less than two weeks, that's a testament of being unprepared and obvious lack of control.

Tinubu did not seek for senate approval. He is only asking for their support. Tinubu has already taken a decision. I think we will only hear about Nigerian army fighting in Niger.
The president asking for their support or seeking for approval, how is it different in this context.
If it is merely asking for support just as you have inferred in your submission, the president could have just announced it on TV or choose not to even inform them at all. He understands the implications of seeking Senate approval, the reason he wrote to the Senate so it is not an academic exercise.

The constitution stipulates that the president needs the approval of the Senate to mobilize troops beyond our borders or to declare war.
If for any reason the President feels he does not need Senate approval because a cause of action has been decided already according to your post, then reasonable Nigerians will be looking up to the Senate to hold the president accountable or if they will give further evidence to the reason people call them a "rubber stamp"

If you see the comments of his Haters here, you will notice that they don't have ANY FACTUAL retort to his statements.

All you see are comments like " Political jobber', "UK refugee", "He is only trying to get a job in Nigeria "....bla bla bla.

He recently made FACTUAL comparisons between Atiku , Tinubu and Obi.......No one could dispute his claims.

I am not really fond of Reno but this guy is an educated guy with FACTS!
This is a skewed comparison so there is nothing factual about it. Reno is only trying to be mischievous.

The question you should ask yourself is, why did Reno pick Ghana while comparing PMS prices?
Why did Reno bypass other oil giants in Africa like Libya and Angola to compare that of Ghana. Ghana still imported crude oil from Nigeria as recent as 2021 so what exactly is the parallel that Reno is trying to compare between Nigeria and Ghana as regards PMS prices.

What Reno is doing is exactly what terrorists do when they extract a portion of the Quran to justify their wanton killing of those they consider to be infidels.
This is a baseless comparison as there is no parallel. If Reno is not trying to be mischievous, he should compare Nigeria with Libya, Angola, or beyond the borders of Africa, use Saudi Arabia when comparing PMS prices

Smh. He just woke up. For almost 3 years, the state has advertised and announced severally and even set up a committee for members of the society to come forward and identify or report to them a missing relative, no one came forward for any of these bodies.

The state went further to spend millions to preserve these bodies while waiting for the families, particularly those alleged to be killed at lekkilies, still nobody came forward.

Should LASG continue to keep the bodies for ever or should we forever believe the lie that anyone killed will not have families, friends, neighbours, pastors, imams etc.

If Amnesty International Nigeria is serious, it should not have kept quiet but helped the government publicize the long drawn public announcement to members of the public.

I will support Amnesty if it will offer to bear the cost of the extra days the LASG will be keeping these bodies. It is not enough for them to talk, talk is cheap. What will amnesty undertake to ensure that the families are found and tax payers in Lagos does not continue to bear the brunt and cost of keeping these bodies for ever. They are in govt mortuaries at a cost borne by the govt for almost 3 years now, what does amnesty want to do to help Lagos?

Since nobody came forward to claim the 103 dead bodies, does it mean the 103 dead bodies about to be buried by the Lagos State government does not have families, relatives....especially given the fact that "nobody complained their relative is missing, no family has come forward etc" has been used as the background for denying anybody died at Lekki toll gate by most commentators on here

And based on ethnic issues in Afghanistan, lots of people support Taliban...
The nonsense of usa running away from Afghanistan is for brainwashed people like you who dont know that trump made a deal with the Taliban to pull out, biden just fulfilled the deal ...
You just wasted your time responding to those brainwashed cretins. Anytime you see them bring onboard the lame argument of USA running away from Taliban, just know they are ignorant albeit willfully. Is it the same Taliban the USA chased away from power in Afghanistan in two months.
The USA simply made a deal to leave because the Afghan people were not ready to keep their country away from the control of the Taliban despite the USA handing it back to them with the trainings and resources for 20 years.

These people that perpetually engage in the glory singing and ego massaging of Russia, perhaps they don't know Russia also invaded Afghanistan and fought there for 10 years before they eventually withdrew with millions of lives lost in the war and billions of dollars wasted on both sides.
Should we now tag the Russian withdrawal from fighting the Taliban as cowardice or "running away" as they famously tag that of the USA? Madness...

He said he is not coming because the South African government pleaded with him not to come. Their vice president said it in the media long before Putin indicated any move of not coming.

In another news, most Putin apologists are too emotional with the phantom idea of Putin being a demigod.
The western world putting pressure on South Africa to arrest Putin in line with ICC charter is merely to embarrass Putin and the government of Russia which they have successfully done with Putin agreeing not to attend the BRICS conference.
Imagine Russia, one of the heavy weights of BRICS limited from attending a BRICS conference is a big embarrassment which is the ultimate goal of the whole scheme.

South Africa will not arrest even a sitting head of government in Africa, but they are not willing to fall out with the West because of Russia especially with a simple solution of Putin shelving his planned visit.
In this contemporary world, having the ability/influence to organize people and mobilize people to do your bidding is the first level of POWER which the United States of America enjoy by a mile. I don't understand why some people on here still try to equate or place the US and Russia on the same pedestal, and some delusional fanatics even place Russia above US.
Their concern ought to be; why more countries in the world do the bidding of USA including some powerful countries in Europe as against that of Russia.

In this age, time and civilization, the USA is the single most powerful country in the world and Russia knows that.
Russia is a powerful country and the USA respects that too.

Stoplying:

If usa is that mighty, then why did it build a military alliance of more than 30 countries against Russia ?
In the streets, when you are tough, do you need to recruit more than 30 people to go and fight just one guy ?
This argument of the USA building an alliance of 30 countries to confront Russia is actually a lame argument, of which most of the proponents are not sincere with themselves.

The foremost if not the sole benefit of the USA in the NATO alliance is the "Strategic advantage of Time and Location" per adventure war breaks out between the US and Russia. Being a NATO member gives the US the ground to put some of their defense assets in the member countries. US is to NATO the way Nigeria is to ECOWAS. Nigeria contributes the largest in both funds/equipment and manpower to ECOMOG just like the US do to NATO.

Have you asked yourself what a country like Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania etc offer to the US in an American war against Russia? They offer nothing more than the reasons I stated above. Why do you think Trump wanted to pull the US out of NATO?
The US is not under the protection of NATO, rather it is the other NATO countries that are hiding under the United States protection under the umbrella of NATO.
Why do you think Russia always mention striking the UK in their rhetoric but not very so when addressing the US?
You think Russia is complaining about neighbors joining NATO because Russia does not have the capacity or assets to strike the US directly?
Before the point I am trying to make is lost in the pack, let me reiterate again. It is Europe that is hiding under the protection of the USA with the NATO arrangement and not the other way round.
USA being a member of NATO increases her Second Strike options and capabilities, and even makes her First Strike capabilities better.
The above is the real concern of Russia and not generally because the USA is gathering a bunch of weaklings under NATO to fight Russia on America's behalf.

Lastly because I have to stop. The USA is the single most powerful country in the world by miles and Russia knows that.
Russia is a powerful country and the USA respects that too.

The south-south is a geo-political zone and not just a geographical area. The zones were carved out considering not only the geographical location, but also the political interest of the people involved. The SS was carved out of the western/midwest zone and the Eastern zone and the main consideration was to group southern minority tribes into a separate zone where they wouldn't be dominated by the 2 major tribes of the western and eastern block (Yorubas and Igbos). Ive never seen anyone from the SS or the North central zone complain of the fact that they were carved into separate unique zones.

The term SS or Niger delta, what's the difference? And how does the term 'Niger delta' make it feel better?... besides, these are geo-political zones, not just 'political' zones; so would you have prefered the 6 zones in the country to be have NW, NE, NC, SW, SE and Niger Delta? Does it really make any sense?
I guess you are reading too much meaning into what I said.
There is absolutely no complaint over creating unique zones for minority tribes.

You correctly said it is a geo-political zone and in the context of geography, South-South is a meaningless name.
You asked if there is a difference between South-South and Niger Delta? I'm sure the difference is self explanatory.
Again, no minority tribe in the south is complaining that a separate zone was created for them. My comment is not a political one but is about the meaningless name as it does not represent any geo-location
