I'm not so sure about el-rufai even as I'm hopeless about this Goodluck administration. |
Sagamite, I find you a little too rude to have the standing to question people's education. You have your opinion, others have theirs. Your insults cannot sustain any discussion with you but the good news is that it won't stop us from airing our views. Like every human, Ghadafi had his faults, one of which is agreeing not to build nuclear weapons, Smh. |
It was bound to happen. He put up a brave fight against the NATO evil machine. I wonder what would become of this latest colony of the west. The future has been mortgaged. The imperialist machine is on the move. Arabs have so much passion, it doesn't take much to set them on one route. Some Arabs will die for Christ, ignorantly. |
@Uche13, great thread. I've always wondered why we don't have any lawyers' thread, I just finished law school and I'm waiting to be called to the bar in January. Needless to say, I have no experience in court. Its ridiculous however for some to cite the low traffic of lawyers to this thread as a pointer or evidence that most lawyers don't know what they are doing. There's a thread also begging for the attention of architects, and so far it has only gotten 4 responses, Only a few lawyers have the luxury or time to come share funny experiences in court on nairaland. Most are too neck-deep in the everyday hustle as they earn meagre wages, You surely don't expect lawyers from lower-middle class backgrounds earning less than 50k a month to participate actively on internet forums, |
F*#k this. We all negroes. |
@ gbola You think Judges are appointed arbitrarily? |
You can't be in Wuse II and not have light for weeks except you haven't been paying your bills. |
The man has paid his dues. Let him be. |
^^^ Nothing to indicate the writer isn't Igbo. In fact, he claimed Igbo. However, saying a politician isn't ripe for a job because of corruption is naive IMHO. Maybe GEJ should have gone for a non-politician but as far as this appointment goes, its nothing to whine about. Enrichment at the public's expense is a way of life for the average politician. And anyway, his constituency seem to be satisfied with his appointment, end of story. Una never jam, the saga continues. NEXT! |
Crap. |
Northern leaders keep shooting themselves in the foot. So it doesn't matter if in the current crop of SSS guys in the villa, the majority of the northerners are christians? This should be 'NORTHERN MUSLIMS REGROUP TO CHECK JONATHAN. As long as they use they keep using this approach, they are bound to keep losing in the general elections and 2011 would be child's play when compared with future elections. At a time many folks are looking up to the component units of the country for development and demanding greater fiscal and political autonomy, these leeches are only interested in reclaiming power at the central level. Kudos to them. If they behave too hostile, they may be screwed yet again in 2015. |
Uncultured morons. |
Fashola has done a lot of good in improving the security situation in Lagos state but whether you like it or not, the Police is under the Federal Govt. That's why people keep demanding for true federalism- state police, resource control etc. Talking about jungle justice, i believe its in the mind state of the average nigerian on the streets. Even in Abuja, once in a while, you hear of similar incidences, its not even strange to hear supposedly educated people talking in defence of lynching or burning a thief alive. Recently, some two cops came to salvage a jungle justice situation somewhere in Abuja, they shot in the air to scare away the mob but they weren't fazed. Apparently, they thought the two thieves were dead already from the beatings they had received but when upon the cops'arrival, one of the thieves started stirring and making body movements, the mob warned the cops to leave the spot so they could finish the job or else they would be killed. So you see, we shouldn't blame the govt everytime. |
@soldee- I think you'll find that the thread is much more than the topic suggests. I think about 4 different issues have being discussed, from the trivial ones to the lil bit more serious ones. |
Now I'm confused, namfav is talking about clans when I'm referring to university campus escapades. How long did you spend in Nigeria? |
Its impossible to prove since we are on nairaland. Revomind's claims must not be believed. Believe whatever you want to believe. I know Southern Kaduna guys, yes, the ones y'all love to deride as 'chongai' who were banging fulani babes on a steady note back then. In fact, one of em that I know was banging the emir of zazzau's niece on an assured level. I guess that wouldn't count since she falls into the Kaduna bracket and it can't be possibly be proven here. Maybe we used charms. Who knows? |
Something fishy about this story. |
Suit your self then. My dating spree has thankfully ended. Cheers. |
Not taking it personal ma'am. Didn't claim I had a serious relationship with the person. In fact I was careful enough to state that it was some "good ol' fashioned fun" or did you miss that? Be specific when you say 'northerners',I believe your time here should have educated you enough on that. If a Yoruba weds a Nupe, its a hardly a biggie. I didn't do any 'sex tourism' as you p ut it, it was a light-hearted though factual response to auwal's claim that only malo babes from Kaduna or Jos are liberal enough to date a southerner as if those ones are second-class fulani people. If I wanted to embark on sex tourism, the north would hardly be my destination in a country where we have Efik/Ibibio and eastern beauties without prejudice to my beautiful Yoruba sistas. Would probably never have experienced such if I didn't school up north, abi you missed that one too from my previous posts ![]() Can't believe this back and forth thingy over the fact that someone tries to debunk the fallacy that Fulani babes from the core North West don't get banged by bruvas. No matter how scarcely it happens, fact is that it does. If after spending 5-6 years in a place I still can distinguish people or I cud still be taken for a ride as to identity, then I must really be dumb. |
@ tpia. A lil too cynical aren't we? Keep tellin urself all that bull u typed up there- 'they keep to their social strata', bla bla bla. Maybe they build separate classrooms for them in their universities, you should know after all you seem to know everything. Not beating my chest about some lil affair from some years back, it sounds like that to you cuz you have chosen an 'Uncle Ruckus No Relations' approach to seeing some bunch of normal a** people. Its your cup of tea. Just don't have a heat attack when a male relation of yours brings one home to marry. Pele. |
*sighs* @ d responses to my post so far, but then who am I? Just a lowly southern 'hustler'. People on here probably think Fulani babes sh*t gold. Well, ignorance is bliss as they say. I'm not surprised namfav and co wouldn't believe me,it wasn't easy dealin with the curious looks from jealous malo boiz back then lol. As few and far in between as they may be, there are Southerners who have married Fulani folks. Its an anonymous forum so you can believe or choose not to if u want, whatever suits your delusions, I think Southerners need to learn more about their country, There's a joke that some southerners know more about the UK than they know of the north. Otherwise, folks like namfav won't be yanning as if some of these 'glorious' fulani folks can't be found selling credit and siga on the streets of Abuja and Lagos sef. Babe was probably havin fun with moi knowin fully well it would come to nothing as some alhaji was probably waitin for her pretty a** to be done with skul. Can't an innocent Fulani babe have some good ol' fashioned fun anymore? |
Funny a** thread! But you see I have absolutely nothing against em hausa/fulani bruvas and I do not give a rat's a** about debs and who spends the most there- Hausa govt folks or Southern fraudstas. I just want to correct auwal's fallacious yan that only hausa babes from Kaduna and Jos are liberal enuf to be on a southern bruva's d***. I got my 1st degree up north and I saw things. Pure fulani babe from katsina, father-big shot as usual, had a special liking for south-west bruvas especially. Shorty was on my **** till graduation. Beautiful babe I must say. Namfav, kabba, murtalaa nd indeed everyone here, what y'all should know is that with the return to civilian rule, 'that' class of nigerians has increased in size and diversity. This I believe is the reason for the excessive bad blood shown by some folks up north who are by now experts in working the hapless masses. There should be absolutely no bad blood in this post. |
^^^ You aren't making much sense. The average man on the streets, west, east, north , south doesn't give a flying fvck about who becomes the next speaker. I swear Nigerians can be really naive, @1025 was absolutely right in his post. Nigerian politics isn't about service or quality representation, its about how much you can slice off the National Cake when you get the chance. Tambuwal may as well become the new speaker, lives will improve in the Northwest just as it did in the Southwest under Bankole, |
According to Mr. Femi Gbajamiala, the leader of the ACN S/West Caucus, has stated the position of the party, he said they are not interested in supporting any candidate on the basis of the PDP's zoning so @Jarus, what are you talking about? Anyway, Tambuwal seems quite okay. Let's kill Zoning once and for all. |
*sigh* Makes Chris Uba a better man. At least he didn't lie. |
Wonder why Farouk Lawan is never interested in being Speaker. He is arguably the most influential member of the House. If Mr. Tambuwal has what it takes, so be it. The candidates from the Southwest are uninspiring. The Southwest chapter of the PDP produces the smelliest of the smelly characters in the PDP for real. |
What's wrong with a nurse being Minister of Health? The man seems pretty well qualified to me. |
@Kats, nice one. People keep making that mistake. @OP We are all Negroes, that's why. |
? |
If I were from Jos, I'd rather die than surrender that beautiful town. |
Chai. |
