Are you telling me that those aforementioned criteria would only exist if PUME exist I don't understand what you meant by the word "Easier".

As far as my limited knowledge is concerned. Something exist....or it doesn't. And mind you, all those criteria, are indelible in our universities' admission process...whether JAMB was the only entrance exam or whether there was a PUME alongside.

Our admission process is simple to understand.... get a very high score and find yourself a place among the select few in the merit list. Afterwards, it becomes a matter of money and connection.

This has been the practice for as long as I can remember.

The reason why PUTME can not be scrapped easily is that, schools will want to conduct their screening test by themselves, instead of allowing another exam body(JAMB) to do it for them. Secondly, the number of students that apply and pass JAMB cut-off marks are far greater than the number of students schools would want to admit for that academic session.

Scrapping PUTME would not solve admission problem, rather it will make the situation worst.

The death of post-UTME means that all those candidates with JAMB scores around 200 have zero chance of University admission. With the way post-UTME was organized in some schools including UI, such students may get admitted if their performance in Post-UTME is good. Now, that chance is gone. Only a high score can get you into a university.

I stopped replying monikers when it comes to state politics because what majority does is to sit at the comfort of their homes maybe in owerri and want to tell you and indigene or residence or both of Edo state the happenings in Edo State.
These are the kind of people that would tell you that oshiomole has been a failure as a governor when in reality no Gov in the whole south south since 2007 can compare with oshiomole in terms of achievement as govs even though Edo State is the least earning state in south south from FG.

Oshodin is a no no. If you reside in Benin (or Edo), you'll realise how PDP used Oshodin, Uniben management and student's union to cause chaos and discredit Oshiomole in the events leading to the 2015 elections. Remember how PDP and oshodin turned the property dispute between Edo State Govt and Uniben into a personal, tribal, war between Oshiomole and the Bini people?

They were on TV insulting the governor, setting Comrade Buses and other people's cars ablaze just to will political points.

Worse still, it is on record that Osayuki Oshodin is a nepotistic tribal bigot. The people he employed and elevated during his headship of Uniben were exclusively Binis. Could be your reason for preferring him, though.
