Like a friend mentioned , make free WiFi available inside church compounds and mission buildings. Make it open to the public. While people are there , play Chapters of the bible , the gospels preferably on speaker, not so loud but serenely. After a week , there would be people genuinely seeking Jesus . There is sufficient money to fund free WiFi.

i do not see any reason why churches cannot go into mechanized agriculture, not only would it contribute in solving hunger, it would create employment. Even when the church farms for its own sufficiency and welfare of the less privileged and destitute, there would the effect of drawing people closer to the source of their help

In response to what a notable Islamic scholar said recently on the Federal govt issuing Sukuk, I went to read up on sukuk, and found out that there is nothing special about it, there has been lots of criticism , as the sukuk end up being used to finance non-shariah compliant ventures, there is also a relatively poor understanding of the money transfer methods, and finally , all the countries practicing it are Islamic countries with the exception of the UK ( www.wikipedia.com/sukuk).He northern statesman told us lies, and buttressed his lies with bible passages, what blasphemy! Even the origin of his cited expression "dog in a manger " was completely incorrect too. Overall, and after considering all factors, Nigeria is not ready for sukuk, implementation at this time may indeed be an attempt at Islamizing Nigeria illegally.

Anyways.. Instead of always crying oppression and islamization, why don't we Christianize the country?

When we had our first contact with the foreigners, they brought trade. Attached to that trade was religion. Attached to religion was their culture. Gradually we assimilated them, transformed us, not like we had not been fine before they came, but subtly we had left our ways and customs and followed theirs. Theirs being polished and refined , though with liberal loopholes that were even more dangerous. They built schools, mission houses, hospitals, in many cases people paid a token for the staff welfare or didn't pay at all. Sometimes we had to trek kilometres to get to school everyday, trek kilometres to get to the hospitals, until bicycles were introduced. It wasn't too far in our eyes.
Back then, if you didn't attend church, your child would not be allowed in school. if you refused to send your child to school, the priest may even send people to fetch your child . If your child misbehaved, he would be detained in school during the holidays, and there was nothing the parent could do about it, because he knew his life revolved around the church, with all its appendages. All these while, the north was in relative darkness, held in the firm grip of religion but without the added benefits of healthcare and usable education.

Gradually the whites returned home, we took over, we continued for a while , then recently there was an explosion in churches and it all went to the dogs. Slowly the non Muslims adopted a commercial approach to all their endeavours and the Muslims slowly and gradually crept in. Though holding power most of the time, their main programmes were initiated and executed by foot soldiers. The doctrine of willful deception and lying ( Taqiyya) used extensively.

Today we are here, the so-called CAN is threatening to go to court over Sukut, when the bible states that Christians are not to go to court, along with previous errors, that should tell you that CAN cannot speak for Christians, can is a political body of non Muslims , it is a direct response to a perceived Islamic dominance.
To effectively counter Islamic Taqiyya, Christians should begin to act as Christ would have acted. With love , respect and wisdom.

1. Churches should establish schools, not universities, secondary schools, heavily subsidized or even free, funded with offerings and donations. I don't see the sense in establishing schools that only the rich can attend, when Jesus said it would be hard for the rich to enter the kingdom of God , except they give half of their wealth to the poor. Even if they want to say the University is a business arm of the church, it is still wrong, because Jesus would have frowned on that. He drove out the people doing business in the temple, and when he was sending out his disciples, he asked them not to take even a spare coat or money.
So build schools, primary and secondary, pay teachers from offerings , employ only qualified teachers.

2. In your schools , make CRK compulsory. Teach students the real Jesus, not the fake one that is being taught on the internet and on TV by the same people you say are fighting you. If I want people to know about me or my experiences, I would not leave it to outsiders , I would do it myself. The world, Nigeria inclusive , is experiencing real growth in the ranks of young people who do not know what to believe and what is the truth. Some of them metamorphose into atheists , others follow new age religions , some acknowledge that there is a God but do not know his purpose or how to reach him. These are the people that need help, they need guidance not condemnation, they need love not abuse.

3. The modern theory of building a church in every street is not really the best. We have reached a time in our history when we begin to deemphasize the church and reemphasize Jesus Christ. The monies spent on establishing a branch on every street should have been spent on sinking a community borehole or establishing a church run skills acquisition centre. You can't tell me that churches have to be close to people's homes that's why there must be a church on every street. When the same people go long distance just to get to work everyday and to get to the market. A church is supposed to be a community of its own, with a sizeable number of people , not 10 or 15. A church should serve as a planning base on how to take Jesus Christ's message to people's hearts and houses, not a place for business, or showoff or political speeches.

4. Churches should establish free maternity hospitals and free health facilities depending on their abilities. When people can relate to what they have benefited from a Jesus entity, it makes it difficult for them to speak ill about it tomorrow. Not when people have 16 churches on one road , and the only thing they benefit is traffic gridlock, how would they not come out to criticize the church? Even if services cannot be 100% free, at least let the services stand out , just like ECWA eye hospital in Kano. It is nearly impossible for there to be a riot and northern Muslims would go and burn that building, because they are the biggest gainers from its services. That is what I'm talking about.

5. Christians must begin to Jesus outsiders. It is not enough to give help to your brethren , it is even better to give help to non brethren. That is what Jesus Christ said. He says we must help unbelievers, that if we help ourselves, what difference does it make? Don't unbelievers help themselves too? Instead we must be different by going to help unbelievers, since that is something they may not do. However, helping them does not mean we will allow them draw us away from the body of Christ. Instead as we help them, we should tell them about Christ, and make them understand that we are following his instructions, and that he loves them dearly, even more than us that are already his.

6. Finally, as Christians we must give the general public tools on identifying fake Christians and fake prophets. And that tool is the word of God. Anybody who practices a version of Christianity contrary to the word of God is not a christian.

If we had been doing these things, nobody would talk about Islamizing Nigeria, it is not everything that you only pray for. Some things you also have to act on .

The issue is not so “who” is right, as if it were a personal dispute between two “classes” of people. The matter is not one of personalities, culture, or race. The issue is this: Which record contains the true, historical account? Will we believe the Bible, which names Isaac, or the claims of Muslim scholars who infer the name of the son from the Koran?
Some would contend that this is the kind of disagreement that never will be settled. Christians will accept the Bible. Muslims will side with the Koran. The discussion comes down to a “your-word-against-mine” type of argument — at least in the eyes of some.
But the issue is more fundamental than that. The question is really this: Which book is the revelation of God? Both volumes claim inspiration, but obviously both cannot be inspired. The difference of “Isaac versus Ishmael” is just one of hundreds of discrepancies between the Bible and the Koran. And many of these differences concern crucial themes (e.g., the nature of God, the identity of Christ, and God’s plan of salvation).
Before one commits to a system of religion, it is necessary to inquire into the source of that religion. If the Bible is from heaven, then Christianity is the true religion. If the Koran is from God, then Islam is the genuine system.

Who were “the Prophets” in the wilderness? That expression,“the Prophets,” usually designates a special ministry of servants who lived at a later time in Israel’s history. J. M. Rodwell notes: “This passage [Sura 25:59] is one of the numerous anachronisms which abound in the Koran and prove the gross ignorance of the Arabian prophet” (Rodwell, J.M., trans. The Koran, Everyman’s Library. New York: Dutton, 1909, p. 344).
Before us are two books. One is flawless and divine. It is the Bible. The other, the Koran, is error-ridden, the product of a self-styled prophet, who was no prophet at all. One encourages us to love our enemies; the other promotes conversion by force and Jihad —“holy war.”
The Bible records that Abraham was willing to offer Isaac. The Koran, Muslim scholars claim, implies that Abraham was willing to offer Ishmael. The issue is: Which volume is
God’s ? God’s book is perfect, with a high moral tone. It is filled with marks of divine inspiration that are beyond the possibility of human production. That book is the Holy Bible.

Christianity doesn't want to be an authority on Judaism. The Jews are authorities on Judaism . most of the early Christians and apostles were Jews, Jesus Christ performed Jewish worship and customs, and his followers Christians , often reference the Old testament I.e. the Torah and Talmud . Jesus Christ said he didn't come to abolish the OT, but rather he came to fulfill it. Christians have never attempted to change the OT or to edit or manipulate it, because the original copies are known and available. Muhd on the other hand, not a Jew, didn't see Jesus, an outsider, created a religion premised on the Jewish religion. Edited their history , brought in doctrine from other ancient religions and mixed them together for his main companion to singlehandedly compile as the Qur'an.

Israel's Law of Return stipulates that a Jew is someone with a Jewish mother or someone who has converted to Judaism. If a Jew become a Christian, religiously he isn't a Jew anymore. He will be excommunicated, but by birth and politically he may still be referred to as a Jew. Jewishness refers religious, ethnic and political concepts which are intertwined.

definitely... but there are fundamental differences between both doctrines. those differences make it impossible for both doctrines to be correct at the same time. And what doesn't help Islam is the fact that it also cites the Jewish Torah, though indirectly and the doctrines are not harmonious. Christianity on the other hand is relatable to the Jewish Torah. and Christ gives reasons for the amendments he makes in the gospels. and if you look at it closely, Jesus Christ never broke any Old Testament law.

Uncannily though, the Quran itself asserts that the infidels of Mecca knew that Muhammad had copied the Quran from various sources, especially from the Jewish Scriptures; and that was why Allah had to admonish the polytheists for calling Muhammad a copy-cat. This is revealed in verse 28:48

Muhammad's neighbour was an-Nadr b. al-Harith. He too used to write verses similar to the Quran. He was also a very good story-teller--especially of the ancient fables. Whenever Muhammad gathered people to listen to his tales in the Quran an-Nadr would entice the audience of Muhammad with better stories than Muhammad. Due to an-Nadr's excellent proficiency in narrating the anecdotes Muhammad saw his audience disappear. Muhammad considered an-Nadr's act extremely loathsome and had his revenge taken by capturing an-Nadr in the battle of Badr and later beheading him.

The issue with this response and the thread as a whole is that some adherents of a religion judge other religions by the standards and models of their own religion. For instance, if divorce is illegal in Christianity, you don't expect it to also be illegal in Islam.
They are 2 different religions that have different rules and laws. So calling one religion a FALSE religion is funny. We have hundreds of religions in the world and each one believes his own is the only true one.

it is very strange that Islam which came so many years after Christianity now wants to be an authority on Christianity. What the Islamic pioneers did was to probably take the Jewish texts and modify them extensively to create their own revelation, thus having an Islamic account of every Jewish account. Imagine saying that Ishmael was the child Abraham wanted to sacrifice, or telling us that Potiphar found out that his wife was lying, but Joseph insisted that he be thrown into prison to protect himself from other women. Logically it doesn't make sense, most of their accounts are obviously revisionist. Probably that is why the Jews refer to Mohammed as the 'mad man'

Biafra is nothing. Biafra is a state of mind. Biafra in tangible terms refers to the millions of people who lost their lives in the Nigerian civil war - though mostly one sided, but still referred to as a war since both sides took up arms. Millions of people were killed because of something they barely understood, thousands killed because they were neither here nor there, destruction that took decades to undo physically and little done to repair the emotional damage. Today when i type Biafra on google, Nnamdi Kanu pops up among the search results.., what an aberration! Biafra is not a man, not a territory, because it isn't recognized as a territory by the ethnic groups occupying the said area, there hasn't been a referendum , there is no provision for a referendum in the constitution, even if the people wanted a referendum, they would use their legislators to raise the issue at the Houses. Even if they are not numerically buoyant, via alignment with other legislators from other interested regions would make it possible or cause a serious legislative row that would be a burning national issue. But there has been no such move by the legislators, there has been no consultation, there is not even above 50% approval for a Biafran nation amongst the core proponents. If a mock referendum was conducted today, NO votes would have majority. Even in the aftermath of the Biafran affair of the 60s, there have been little efforts to build good relations with neighbours, instead the three ethnic groups complain that they are being cheated out of the sharing formula, forgetting that they owe their stability to the 'political minority ethnic groups' who act as buffers and now feed the nation.


Post military dictatorship, a system was worked out informally, birthed by the PDP, Zoning. Rotating the three core positions within the three 'major' ethnic groups. With president from the west, VP from north, senate president went to east. Through intra-ethnic wrangling , we saw the senate president being passed around from one individual to another within a short space of time. The west passed presidency to the north and VP to a minority, and through sheer providence, after just 3 years, power fell to the minority. In 2015, the error was corrected and power returned to the north. Following the rotation plan, as from 2020 (or 2023) we should be expecting a president from the east , either an Igbo president (or an Ibibio president or an Annang president or an Aniocha president or an Idoma president, or even an Ikwerre president if really the proponents of Biafra are honest). Though with recent happenings this looks very unlikely.


While we are suffering economic hardship together, Nnamdi Kanu arises. He claims he wants to restore Biafra. He conjures maps in his head, he abuses everyone and anyone, calls Nigeria a Zoo, abuses her government, abuses his neighbours and claims their lands. Soon he has a cult following, everyone is talking about Nnamdi KANU, the Messiah, how eloquent he speaks, how charismatic he is, how insightful his analyses are! But we are not looking at his message, we are not looking at the consequences of adopting such a stance in a country where the next person is looking at an opportunity to cheat you out of your shared portion. He claimed he had weapons, he had all the infrastructure to take down the zoo. He even abused his kinsmen who attend churches pastored by people not Igbo. And to cap it all he said he was a Jew. His followers were Jews, in fact the ethnic group was of Jewish stock. We all knew these were all fallacious at least, but we were entertained. The north, his punching bag, didn't care. Their quit notice was a strategy, coming at a time when the President's state was unknown. They fixed Oct 1st, in order to have enough time to verify if the president could continue or would abdicate. Nnamdi Kanu didn't understand this, he kept on spewing hate. The quit notice was revoked, giving the north a rare moral point, Kanu didn't relent. Going on to establish a secret service [sic]
Fast forward to a few months, the government has sent heavy boots to the east. There are clashes , news and videos ? of IPOB members looking for outsiders to harass. These pictures get on the internet. Tension builds up in the minds of people, because they expect the blood thirsty northerners to carry out reprisals , they decline however. Scoring another moral point. They are 2-0 up at halftime. Nnamdi didn't see war, he doesn't understand the politics of Nigeria. The only way out of this parasitic Union is via constitutional process . As long as the north has power , she would do anything to preserve peace and power. Use Kaduna state as an example, during Yakowa's tenure there were always issues, the other ethnic group even rejoiced when he died in that air crash, and Yero came in , then Rufai, and has there been crisis ever since? Has there? These people know what they want. They are focused.

In the nationalist coup of 1966, Ojukwu was in Kaduna when Nzeogwu struck the leading govt figures, without sentiment, without leaving anyone behind. He saw it first hand. In Lagos , sentiments crept in , all the targets were not eliminated, the GOC Ironsi was spared. Azikiwe was not in Nigeria. Orizu strangely did not die in that coup. In the east and Bendel there was no exercise because they claimed the Eastern premier had a foreign HOS visiting so they didn't want to risk foreign crisis. Nzeogwu later admitted that the coup was planned for the nations good, but sentiments in the south derailed the exercise. Ironsi failed to deal with the plotters. In spite of this, when the northerners launched their pogrom and the military July Rematch, killing Southerners in the North, Ojukwu urged for restraint and suppressed reprisal killings in the east. Going forward, his main issue was that Gowon was not the next senior officer, since he and Ojukwu were rank mates, that it should have been Ogundipe to be head of state. But Ogundipe had no troops under his direct command to enforce himself and thus causing a stand off between Ojukwu and the the coup plotters. With both parties been sufficiently aware of crude in the Niger delta beforehand, it didn't take long to declare a break away region. Looking at it critically , Ojukwu did not want war - though this is hard to say considering that he discarded all the advice people gave him to seek an early truce. And later in life he would go on to say that it would be stupid to start another civil war. But Kanu has been trying to start another one, endangering the lives of every Southerner living in the north. The military intervention came at a bad time, poorly executed but achieved the goal, restoration of peace and order. And a few days later, telling the world that the Hausa army is killing Igbo Christians in the east... are ipob members Christians? Are the troops fighting BH not also made up of southern soldiers? Why must we always tell lies? Why are we painting to the world , a scenario that isn't true? As much as I join in the condemnation of the NA for human right abuses, I also praise their actions, because if the north thought that nothing was done, they may have taken laws into their hands. The NA prevented crisis. I would rather have my rights abused than have my neck sliced with a blunt knife. Take it or leave it IPOB only care about themselves but use others as shield when going gets tough!


the solution to any problem is never conflict, because one party will always end up bitter and seek revenge. In my own eyes, the Igbo do not seek restructuring, they seek presidency. The Igbo are not marginalized. they benefit from the 3- ethnic groups system. it is an insult to refer to the industrious Igbo as marginalised. .
As at today , with current happenings, an Igbo man cannot be president for so many reasons - the most obvious being that he would be pulled down by his brothers
Dangote is a Hausa man, he has investments in the north, otedola is a Yoruba man, he has investments in the west. Igbo billionaires have investments in the north and in the west. Prices of properties in the north are driven up due to purchases by Igbo businessmen. Meanwhile the east is underdeveloped. These businessmen do not want Biafra, they want one Nigeria. The youth do not attack these businessmen, instead they attack neighbours and outsiders. Ojukwu wanted APGA to develop into a regional party representing the east, and someday become a national minority party, however the people sabotaged it. Peter Obi went to join PDP and since then , it has been on a free fall.

I expect the east to restructure herself first, teach your children to speak politely , establish good relations with your neighbours, study Nigeria's history, do not play opposition politics, find a position and stand by it irrespective of who is involved instead of condemning everything the government does. Hold your politicians responsible, make them speak for you at the Senate and House of Reps.
Reestablish APGA, try to capture the entire southeast , then south south, then North east and middle belt. If the proper ground work is started now, by 2023, we should have an Igbo or Ibibio president. you can only win through respect and alliance.

in 2019, we have a chance. if we want to break the domination by foreigners, simple. let's vote them out. if the south unites, and refuses to vote the various adopted northern candidates, you think heaven will fall? if we vote in a neutral Southerner, or a responsible Nigerian at least, the worst case scenario is that there would be protests in the north, everyone would be forced to return home, the break Up process would start . and the world would see why. Just in a year time...

When next you think of Biafra ,think of the millions of people who died, weep about where Nigeria would have been if those people didn't die. When next someone mentions Biafra, think about how far back it took us, think out our mates then, and where they are now. And the hate speech must stop. Until the north becomes educated and exposed enough to differentiate Igbo from other groups, we are all Igbo in their eyes.

why are they desperately trying to create a Muslim - Christian divide? The north has Christians, infact better Christians than the south. and the south has Muslims, in fact less fanatical Muslims than the North.

take it or leave it, the North only need one of SW/SS/SE to win elections. It would be difficult for SS and SE and SW to combine and win the north in an election, except with near total mobilization of voters. the. north knows this and that's why recently they launched house to house child registration. they are planning ahead. Another advantage they have is being contiguous with lesser developed Islamic countries, majority of whose population come to Nigeria for trade and to seek greener pastures , and the borders are relatively porous.
in the south on the other hand, Nigerian - Cameroonian relations are not cordial, and the borders are tightly manned. it is tempting to think that our poor relations with them may have been planned after all. Fulani from northern Cameroon enter Nigeria freely, even benefiting from our healthcare system. the Atlantic ocean is another border country, hopefully they could lend us some mer-people for elections.

in summary, the north has an unfair advantage, the Yoruba use diplomacy and the ability to influence public opinion , as tools in compensating for their numerical disadvantage. the east on the other hand loves to play opposition and she is very very poor at playing opposition. The time has come to restrategize and look inwards
