A lot of times we try to project the image of the benign, peace loving drunk from Otueke to cover up the complete rot his administration represented. It is just a repeat of history as most of us know that Shagari is a good man but his administration was very corrupt.

I stay in Abuja and I know that the corruption under the GEJ administration was monumental and the enormous revenue accrued to the government was wasted even much more than Abacha, Babangida and Obasanjo combined. Why are we so wicked to keep on defending his administration.

Buhari has a lot of personal flaws but if we can remember this election was a referendum on GEJ not necessarily about Buhari in the swing states of the South West and North Central.

Whether he appoints Ministers this night or next year it is a huge relief from the madness we just went through for six years.

It will take a lot for us to recover with the depleted external reserves, crash of crude prices, a possible Greek default, reduction in summer travel and GDP/ Oil use due to terrorism fears, a huge slowdown in China, 30 million barrels of stored Iranian crude about to hit the market with the removal of sanctions and two possible interest rate hikes by the US Federal Reserve.

We are in interesting times no matter who is at the helm and the earlier we all hunker down and pray to weather the storm without terrible social unrest that will come with job losses, subsidy removal, Naira devaluation and corresponding hyperinflation adding to the Boko Haram insurgency decimating the North East and the bankruptcy of the states.

Let me give you a brief example; Buhari told the governors to negotiate longer loan tenors with the banks up to 20 years to reduce the strain and inability to pay salaries, do you know how that will affect bank profits and systemic liquidity. What will happen to their Oil and Gas loans if oil prices dip further.

May God help this country but please it is sheer wickedness to bring up the previous administrations records. In other climes they would have been shot by now.

The topic at hand has to do with saraki.must you make references to the previous administration? It's crass immaturity to bring up the past administration in virtually every argument. Am tempted to believe this is a cut and paste from an article written elsewhere, because your argument has no bearing on the topic at hand. Look for other means to handle your emotions.

am having issues with my 2003 landrover freelander V6 2.5L. the car takes off sluggishly and feels heavy on the ground. the ignition stops atimes and would not 'raise'.I have been told it has to do with the gearbox brainbox, a mechanic said I need to change it, another said I need to replace a particular ‘’diode’’ or ‘’sensor’’ in the gearbox brainbox. i recently change my gearbox and someone said the gearbox brainbox(ECU) has to be reprogrammed. Am at a loss as to what to do, because a mechanic tried a new gearbox brainbox, but it did not work still.

Kindly advise me on this.

dualprince: I totally disagree with u on this. We all know dat things have not been done the right way in this country for as long as it existed but that does not give anyone the opportunity to hide in darkness and shoot arrows into light. The reason is dis, I know pple dat we were in dis struggle 2geda n did not get upto 70 bt scored above 65 and were shortlisted without pressing any buttons at all... I am an example although I scored above 70 I don't any one and I was given the award. Summarily, with the situation u just painted, its one of two things that happened:

(1) Ur guy did not score up to 65. If he did, he should paste his text from cinfores here let's see.
(2) The criteria used for shortlisting may not av favored him which is not unusaual as such is life. In dis case for example... Dere may be many pple in his discipline who scored far above him... Pple like pearl adams n co... Lolz
So please we nid 2 make ur findings well before talking if we don't want to damage the unity of this country with our unpatriotic behaviors.
Finally, I want every fairly shortlisted pressid awardee to counter dis blackmail in order to protect their integrity. As for me, I got PRESSID fair n square by the grace of God that was sufficient for me. I rest my case.

guy, what other criteria is NUC mearnt to use aside the test scores, NUC has come out to start recently dat the WAEC scores were used!!! For God sake , when u start using such metric or criteria's, we all know that some sort of funny things will take place, NUC can easily hide under the guise that even though Mr A scored higher than me, he was called cos his WAEC score was better than urs. Why didnt NUC specify the type of WAEC result they want b4 the candidates applied. It horrible and their is no need justifying it cos u were successful. am sure if a candidates contest this further, he might even b told '' oh, we used the school u graduated from as a criteria too.

SCAM, whole PRESSID stuff reeks of nepotism and corruption. i know of a guy that scored 76, he was not shortlisted among the successful candidates, yet some other guy with 69 was shortlisted. Congratulations to the truly successful ones.

@randy, guy u knw hw much master 4 UK cost. Tuition fees is from 9000 pounds upwards even though some skools give like 1000pounds bursary. besides the program he is goin 4 is Elect/elect eng which is on the high side since it is Laboratory based.
Its wouldnt be easy doing a job like that of FIRS and expect him to save for masters.
I work in a bank and hav been wit dem for abt 1 year 6 months and i used to earn about 220k monthly but that was reviewed downwards to 174k recently and i know how difficult it is to save for a masters program in US or UK cos am actually saving for it now with the hope of starting my masters program in september by God's grace.
@poster, Guy take the masters offer now, things must still shape up for life . Who knows you might get an offer from a multinational even b4 u graduate.

Murphy G, if i were u i would go for the master's. It is an opportunity u should grab. Granted that Overseas masters these days is not a sure guarantee that you would get a job wen u come back but do undastand that we hav a long life to live and u are just starting it now. If the master does not giv u an automatic job within the first few months you would definitely get a good one, and bear in mind that it gives u an edge over others.
Dont let the fact that u hav an offer wit FIRS get into U. bros, u go still tire for the work one day.
I think the problem wit most of us Nigerians, is that we are always scared of taking that risk, and we always tend to look at today and the immediate future. We hardly project.
You can take the FIRS offer for now till September wen u want to leave, then you can resign your appoinment.
The bottomline is no one can decide for u. u can only decide wat is best 4 urself.
