Iceking1: That's what a friend told me, but unfortunately it's what they've been using to debit recently, after going through the car papers and everything is correct, there's always something that they'd request in order to take advantage.
With this reasoning and mindset, police go still chop you.
Gbadugbakun: I Know this might sound funny, but it's the truth. I lie too much, most especially when I'm talking with people.
Most times there wouldn't even be any need to lie, but I would just find myself lying up and down. It's beginning to bother me and I want to stop it. Please how do I go about it?
The thief was comfortable and relaxed that was why he caused all that damage in the car. The tarpaulin you covered the car with hid him from been noticed. Always leave your car open and not covered when parked.
Good evening fellas... I made this post two weeks ago, I was so terrified, was going crazy but thank God for the words of encouragement from you guys. Your kind words and encouragement made me took the bold step After thinking about my life, I decided to do the test; if I perish I perish. It is better than all the sleepless nights and nightmares.
For over a month now my Google searches is 99% related to HIV; the modes of transmission, early signs, late symptoms, prevalence rate in Nigeria, my state, general world stats.
To worsen the whole situation, last week when I was trying to hold myself together, my latest girl called that she's been feeling feverish, vomited 3x or so, she's lost weight and all... I froze. That's all what google fed me as early signs and it's barely 2 months we had sex...
So I woke up one day and fixed today, Friday 10th November for the test come rain come shine. This morning, I woke up, promised myself it must be today. If I have it, I have it already. It's not like the test will put the virus in my system. Just a confirmation.
After all, I've joined some HIV support groups on Facebook and saw many were requesting for a match making. These would be my family at worst, they are humans too!
So I left very early for a mission hospital kilometers away from my house. I got to the place, sneaked in after watching to ensure the coast is clear from anyone that might know me. I asked the gateman and he directed me to where I can get a compulsory patient's card. I got to the office and met no one on duty, so I had to wait. Just as I was waiting, a primary school classmate walked in with her husband, they a planning a wedding and the church directed them for same blood test. "Whick kind wahala be this" I asked myself, I thought no one will see me here today. No wam, we waited together until the card lady entered, we got the card and proceeded to the electronic capturing center.
The woman at the electronic center was reluctant to attend to me that it must be couple that will come for the test, ahhh cou what?? Madam I'm single and I want to do a blood test to know if I'm health for a relationship or not... People come dey laff me. Finally, I was attended to and was directed to financial department. I went and made my payment and was redirected to the electronic capturing center, when i got back, I called on the woman "ma, I'm asked to give u this receipt" she turned, "you?? Your case is different" she said. I was like has she confirmed I'm positive by mere look? How is my case different?
At long last she directed me upstairs, to the test office. Omo, I actually thought they would collect my blood sample and ask me to come back for the test result. I had planned to go take some alcohol before I will come for the rest but no... Korokoro, the lad pricked my hand got and test strip and it was it.... Ma ma I stammered... Like are u seriously doing this now?? Just like when Kalistus ate the poisoned fish, I began to get weak. She began asking me questions, but I was busy watching the test strip until a line began to form at the down side, it was a single line. I was a bit happy but it wasn't over as I heard it might take up to 20 minutes. I burst prayer oo. Just then the lady at the opposite side called to ask my age and all that. Before I could turn back I say the test lady writing Negative. Omo, I jumped out, they called be back to come take my result sheet. I rushed out dancing skelewu as I made my way to the exit gate. My good people I'm Negative to HIV 1$2.

When plying the shagamu-Benin expressway, never stop for some unscrupulous elements that point at your tyres, their plan is to either rob you, damage you vehicle in the guise of fixing it, or kidnap you whenever you stop to check what they are pointing at. Even some of the police and the security personnel on that road are one of them, they work together.
it's been a long time coming for this post. Pricars/amdman I want to say thank you for this opportunity, for being sincere, for having integrity and for being trustworthy. I collected my ride on the 12th of this month (Monday - public holiday), and my joy knows no bounds. I never knew you from Adam, never spoke with you throughout this transaction, just whatsapp chats and you delivered, you are a rare gem bro, your kind are very few. You never knew me either, and I could trust you with over a milli to secure and transport a vehicle all the way from Canada to Nigeria to me, omo na God go bless you for me,your banga go ripe, your beans go done.
The ride is just too much, too clean like a brand new ride, both interior and exterior is impeccable. An auto electrician scanned it and said it passed all its diagnostic tests, he scored the car 100/100. My mechanic said I go use the car tire, he said I will enjoy the car. The sound system and 5 loader CD is fantastic, it's like a studio on wheels, the AC is chilling, mortuary standard lol , the car drives smooth, fuel consumption is not bad for a 6 cylinder 3.4l suv. The leather seats are still very OK and not torn or rough. I'm happy I made this deal, everybody that sees the ride wants to know my contact.
iberrylee: Even if you earn 1million naira monthly in this shitHole where kidnappers, Bad roads, dirty Air, insecurity of all soughts, bad health care is a normal thing to the people, You are not better off those earning 60k monthly because one of those things will kill you one day Tueh Nigeria is Hell 2.0
Nigeria is a training ground for hell. If you can survive Nigeria , hell will be easier for you. May God save us all from hell.
some parts aren't expensive. some are. like any other vehicle. but its generally on the affordable side. getting popular and prices are starting to go up......
familiarize yourself with Alhaji Amusa street in Ladipo sha. kazeems that can fix it are few and far between + i feel its always cheaper in Ladipo. parts are always available there.
fuel economy: you are looking at 15-17 MPG for lagos traffic driving. on free roads its very decent, and gets close to 30Mpg. did lagos to badagry and back with 20 litres ish bad roads/ bad traffic and all.
Learnt 5 cylinder is the best choice. learnt T6 engines are not advised. (don't quote me sha)
bit under-powered though. 0-60 is not quick, but when it gets moving, i'd advice you slow down if you are looking for racing/power best buy the v8 3.2L engines (even those aren't likely to win races)
Maybe 02 - 03 Highlander. Xterra is a worse vehicle. Pathfinder is arguably worse in my opinion (and more expensive to maintain) or maybe those Mitsubishi Montero them, i know nothing about those
Thanks for your input. My options were Ford escape 05/06 or Mazda tribute 05/06 but my mechanic discouraged me from both options citing frequent engine faults, expensive and unavailability of parts as excuse. He advised I go for a corolla or Toyota matrix instead. But, I want to do something else besides a Toyota this time around.
Hello Nairalanders, I plan on getting an SUV, esp a Volvo XC90 05/06 model. I need an advice from professionals and experienced users of the pros and cons of getting the car. I want to know; * the cost of using and maintaining the car * how expensive and readily available are the parts * what is the fuel economy of the car like * how reliable is the car on Nigerian roads * which of the variant (L5, T6, V8) is better to go for * which other low budget SUVs can be substitutes for it.
Sorry for how you're feeling right now. I think you made him have little or no respect for you in the relationship. You gave him all of you, you showed desperation and made him feel like you can't do without him, and he trampled on that. In your next relationship don't show your man without him there can't be you. I'll advice you to move on, do something with your time, learn a new skill to take your mind away from him. Get rid of any memory you have of him - delete pictures, block him on WhatsApp and any other social media as well. Make new friends, hang out with your siblings and friends. Go for week day or special programs in the church or mosque (depending on your religion). Take heart dear. My 2 cents!!
