I have been cold since morning after listening to the Rivers state commissioner of finance Dr Fred Barivule Kpakol responding to a caller on 97.7 fm concerning the delay in payment of his salaries despite undergoing biometric since June.

His Reply shocked me and I have been wondering the actual implication or the import of his statement.

The Rivers State commissioner of Finance replied that the 13,200 Teachers employed during Governor Amaechi's Administration were fraudulently employed.

Ikem,do not be angry with those that doubt you because the alert was sent to you alone that's why people raised eyebrows.

But you clarified the situation by snaping the alert message. I must commend you for going that far in proving the alert to be real. what you did gave people like me that haven't received salary since February a glimpse of hope.

the Governors Senior special Assistant on ICT William Idoniboye was on Rhythm 93.7 this morning. Sincerely,he got more than he bargained for.

Virtually all the callers spoke against the payment quagmire and the deceit by the Governors Statement about being paid immediately after biometrics,the head head of service lies about the Biometric identity card was also established.

The only good thing about his statement was when he said the remaining batch for payment has already been forwarded to the governor and everybody would be paid. He said those owed were mainly people that did their biometrics exercise in June and July under UBE.

As for the identity card,he said that it has already been forwarded to the various boards and agencies for onward delivery.

All I ask for is my salary from February till date. This is inhumane. the deceit is too much.

I am a civil servant in Rivers State. As we speak,am yet to receive my February,March,April,May and June Salaries.

First the Gov Wike asked us to go for verification and everybody did and and later he said everybody must do biometrics. As we speak thee is no time table for the biometrics,we Dont even know when it would get to our LGA.

He is a very Wicked fellow. No UBE biometrics is ongoing,but PPSB don't even know when their own biometrics would come up.

But my confusion is that some persons have been paid salaries up to April awaiting May while many have not been paid a dine since February. How can this be justified? Is he paying some persons up to date to prove that he is paying workers while a huge number of workers are crying of hunger( no payment since February); Some received March without February while few had their payment doors closed after receiving only February?
