which bonuses are you talking about? We need our December Salary. we have families and dependants. we have bills to pay and there was no communication whatsoever that salaries would be delayed.

First it was 30billion Naira Loan in One Month for operation Zero Pothole and completion of past administrations project. followed by the 700million naira bribe that led to the change of Rivers state Gubernatorial Election petition tribunal chairman justice pindiga,and other numerous monies used for massaging politicians ego,I knew it would get to to this level.

Any Governor that joke about its workforce salary isn't serious for governance. former Governor kayode fayemi now minister or solid minerals can tell better.

How many commissions and special assistant s and senior special assistant s and the numerous aides of the Governor went home without their salaries and allowances.

yesterday Traditional Rulers were promised security stipends monthly henceforth from January.

Governor Amaechi on 95:1Fm this Morning.Accused the Commissioner of Education of employing the 13,0000 Teachers without working in partnership with the ministry of Finance and the Budject Department. He equally berated the two Boards for giving out appointment letters without stating the Amount to be paid as Salary.He said that the Money would be paid by January and that he's not happy that the money is accummulating adding that the more it accummulates,the burden for the Govt becomes much. I wish the Two Boards would respect themselves and do their administrative work thoroughly.The Boards are the one's sabotaging every effort made in this recruitment. Pls for further sensitisation of the public for this Non Payment issue.Watch out for premium Times News tommorow cos I have already sent reports to them and they promised to carry the report on tommorows edition. According to the Education Secretary of Ahoada West L.G.A who came for a meeting at the UBE SECRETARIAT today.

He was very frank with the situation.He said that our salary would not be paid this month but that the Money is already with the Board.He said that several names were missing from the List sent by the Banks used by the various LGA's for account oppening to the Boards and that it would be rectified before payment would be made to all.

Teachers of Distinction,I was dumbfounded to the marrow,couldn't move my legs and was terribly bitter.

I thought of the several commitments,promises and Debts I have encured and now I am helpless on how to go about them!!! What do I do?where do I run to? Indeed am drowning in an ocean. Almighty God Please turn the TIDE to our favour,I am finished without you!!!

This is my 3rd time to apply for this TAC without being shortlisted. I wouldn't waste my time on it again!!! Anything Federal Job or parastatals in this country is always bedvilled with a Monumental Fraud. Nnamdi asked me to pay 250k for us to be shortlisted,but I taught he was joking, now he has been shortlisted. This is terribly. I believe the interview for him also is a formality. Long Live Federal Republic of Nigeria!!!

Instead of Commenting on our Salary he is busy showing his avowed hatred for the Transparent Recruitment of the 13,000 Teachers as against the Usual way of paying 300,000 and 400,000 for one to be recruited. I was posted to Ahoada West and till date,i kept faith with the situation only for this Talkative to spoil my day today as I listened to the News. What Rubbish. Almost five Months without payment and your talking of Truancy. God will Judge you.

Some newly recruited
teachers in the Rivers State school system may face sanctions having failed to take their jobs seriously, months after their recruitment.
This disclosure was made by the Chairman of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board, Sir Ali Oruitemeka during a meeting with head teachers of both primary and secondary schools in Port Harcourt.
According to him, the board had observed that some newly recruited teachers have allegedly refused to disengage from their former employment, noting that the situation had given rise to series of absecondment from duty by some of the newly recruited teachers.
The Board Chairman who cited the case of schools in Port Harcourt where 10 of the newly recruited teachers were not found at their duty posts, warned that the government would no longer condone such act.
He also warned the head teachers against colluding with some of the new teachers in their various schools to perpetrate truancy, stressing that such act would deal a big blow on government’s efforts at reviewing the state’s educational system.
According to him, the recruitment of the new teachers by the government was meant to serve dual purposes of providing teachers to teach children as well as reducing the rate of unemployment in the state.
He, therefore, directed the head teachers to submit a nominal roll of academic staff in their schools to the board.
Board member 1, Hon. Lucky Worlu in his speech urged those at the meeting to cooperate with the board to check all forms of deficiencies in the system.
In his reaction, the Chairman Conference of Principals of Schools, Mr. Okoro Messiah said that head teachers would not compromise on their integrity by aiding and abetting truancy.
He also alleged that some of the new teachers posted to some local Government areas were still keeping to their old job.
In his view, Dr. Idawari Brown of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Finima, Bonny, urged the board to check its system as some of the new teachers were in the habit of claiming transfer from one school to another.

Fiafiad: The UBE Board have just made nonsence of the entire recruitment process.
I felt so much pity for the Government that initiated the recruitment of Teachers as a way of enhancing the Educational standards of the state.
The Government may not achieve up to 75% of the purpose for which this recruitment was carried out.
Why must UBE re-post those that have already been posted to shools? As a result of this singular act, some of the schools now lack English, Maths and some needed relevant Science Teachers.
The BOARD did not put this into consideration that by re-posting some of the Teachers because of greed and favouritism, will create shortage of relevant Teachers in some of this schools which Teachers have been re-posted.
May God help Nigeria!

That's the power of Money!!! Money rules in UBE BOARD

UBE Board is in Dilemma. The problem seems to be the fact that a good number of Teachers aint favourably disposed to their place of posting and as such have resorted to manouvering and Lobbying to be reposted to their place of choice and be included in the Omited names yet to be uploaded in the Internet.

The problem now is that the Board may be sued to court by any opportunist if they go ahead by Altering the list they first published in the net instead of posting only the Omitted names as Post Primary School Board did yesterday.

I pray they come to a better conclusion cos I wouldn't want anything insignificant to delay my pay or derail the entire excercise.

My Dear brother,I feel your pain and I equally understood you perfectly well. The truth of the matter is that this posting as regards the non-indigen was done with much hatred and acrimony.

The Board equally knew that Most Non-Indigens reside in town and not in the rural areas. Besides they have not been happy with the transparent manner this recruitment was done because they were never allowed to manipulate anything unlike before.

95percent of Non-Indigens were posted to Rural areas and any Non-Indigen who was posted to town really greased the palm of the Officials or have a friend at the Ministry. When I was told that 30k would effect my posting to town,I dismissed it immediately because I was thinking that it would be done based on ones place of residence.

Just think about it thoroughly with your wife and whatever decision you guys came up with,I strongly believe would be the best for you both.

Seriously,it was really a bad strategy cos after one month,many Non-Indigens would receive their salary and Damn the job. While the Board would now be happy to fix New Names.

He's not a nairalander and so needs help on the Following;

1-How to locate the place from Mile 4 or Rumuokoro.

2-How many hours does it take to get to the community from PH town or Obio-Akpor.

3- Whether the community Junior Secondary School ikodi-Engenni ahoada west has Accommodation for Teachers and if they don't,what's the rent like?

Please your contributions,especially indigens from Ahoada west and East is really needed to help him out.
