A woman was lucky to escape alive from a ritualist den after the chief priest rejected her, and she has narrated how she watched others get killed after they all boarded a bus together only to find themselves in a forest later.

The woman boarded the bus last Friday in Benin, Edo state, with other passengers, but they were taken to a forest at upper Ekhehuan for ritual purposes.

She told of how she watched them slaughter the only other female passenger who boarded the bus with them. Next, they slaughtered two male passengers. When it got to her turn, the chief priest rejected her and she was thrown out of the forest naked.

She was eventually rescued by passers-by.

Hundreds of commuters and vehicles are trapped on the Michael Otedola Bridge in Lagos as a petrol laden tanker went up in flames.

Outward bound passengers on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway have been caught up in serious traffic, with the battle to rescue trapped commuters impossible as at press time as the fire raged.

Meanwhile the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA)and Lagos Fire Service have been mobilised, reports the rapid Response Squad via its Twitter handle, @rrslagos767.

Residents of Wari in Delta state woke up this morning to find the body of a young lady simply identied as Amanda, dumped at Otokutu along DSC express road in Delta state.

According to Facebook user, Mr-Jek, the young lady operates a salon at Okumagba in Warri,. Residents said her body was allegedly dropped by someone who rode in Toyota Venza.

Rising rapper Jimmy Wopo was shot in a drive-by shooting in Pittsburgh on Monday afternoon and later pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

The 21-year-old rapper was traveling with another male in a white Mazda SUV when they were shot about 4:22 p.m. in the Middle Hill neighborhood, according to an article by The Hollywood Reporter.

The other man was in stable condition in a hospital.

The Elm Street rapper’s manager Taylor Maglin confirmed the death of his client, real name Travon Smart, on Facebook.
