M foriz4u:Simple answer: tough love! Longer answer: Yes, Nigerian governments in the past have done things suddenly for years! That is not ideal but just like a parent who suddenly discovers an unhealthy lifestyle in their child, who is just one random step from ruination, you'd take drastic measures immediately otherwise your 6 - 12 months plan before he or she is grounded may be too late. For a country, it is not so easy, plus Nigeria is already under a lot of pressure economically. Oil prices were falling almost every week, how much longer could the Buyari government have pushed out an ideal date to effect drastic and immediate changes? In 1 years time? If Naija governments of the past and everyday Nigerian citizens did not curb their appetite for foreign products and Forex Nigeria couldn't afford any longer, whatever 6 - 12 months plan would be crying after the head has been severed from the neck, figuratively speaking. Plus, what is the guarantee that a country, government and people who had record revenues of > $ 100 for many years and failed to achieve such a feat will no magically achieve same with record low prices in < 1 year? The government's decision is the best in the circumstance and Nigerians should better get on with the business of improving their lives and the economy of the country ASAP by manufacturing of learning to manufacture most things they consume. |
This was an act of provocation! They were singing for minutes while the army waited in that squatting position! Then the police came in, they kept dancing and singing their provocative songs. If they'd left, I am sure this might not have happened! But when they army and police reacted, they started crying again! How can a man willingly go and stand in front of a speeding train or bullet and 3 minutes later, you cry he was killed? This is what these people call boldness? This is plain stupidit.y in plain sight! Two days ago, here in the US at the bus stop terminal, the police about 6 of them were trying to interrogate a man (white) who carried a big box. I had to walk by like many people just going about their business but just before I got to that spot the police motioned that I and others should not pass by and take an alternative route, which I did anyway as I was in a rush. I could have maintained it was my right to pass in that very place! This is what these people are doing, confronting dozens of soldiers and police (or anyone) with a weapon and thinking it shows boldness? No this is stupidit.y and the sign of a man of people that do not value their lives! Was that man dying or was it just another show? He was dying and he squatted in that position while you videoed him? No blood flow? No one tending to his wounds but you kept propagandizing until he died in a squatting position? This was one of the types of things done during the war, keep videoing dying people rather than stop the reason they were dying, to get sympathy from the world? Well, if you keep challenging constituted authority, you will always get this type of treatment and I don't see how anyone will be able to save you except yourselves! |

Sibrah:True that. Lagos, SW Nigeria is London and New York for them. |
Jonathan yam, potato and goat president: he was the one eating it all and calling other goats to come and eat our yam and potatoes! No wonder he had the insight and time to formulate the goat and yam theory! Dock that fedora-hatred man! Must pay back all yams stolen and straight to the underground dungeon in Kirikiri. |
Achuwa1:If anyone wants to leave the West and go back to the East, it would be highly welcome! The fact is they do not want to leave, will anyone leave Lagos and head to Sambisa forest? Head back to Yobe? Never! It is the same thing like leaving the West and heading back to Abia or Anambra or Ebonyi state! Leaving will create opportunity to improve the West and replace the editing population with highly trained foreigners who come so work, holiday and for tourism which is far better than millions of migrants descending on the lands only looking for what to eat! |
Fire away Mayor! Iweala is a lootocratic, incompetent ineffectual Buffon who supervised the stealing of billions of dollars! Funny how she was forming sick at the senate hearing trying to pretend and when called out, tried to lie her way around it! Iweala is over hyped, clueless finance minister who came to Nigeria to weaken the economy for her world bank paymasters! At over $100 per barrel of oil, she still ran the economy into more debt than Obasanjo paid off less than 7 years earlier, depleting the countries reserves by almost $ 40 B and then racking up local and foreign debts in trillions of Naira (equivalent) and billions of dollars. I would take a honest man or woman, willing to work honestly than a corrupt, stealing and bumbling Iweala and ineffectual Buffon Jonaclueless. |
Hmmmm...what are dead human beings, most likely murdered, doing in the foundation in Enugu? Where is Enugu precisely? The IDPOB youths will need to come and answer the questions! |
chukwudi44:I hope you studied more than primary school otherwise, you would know that economic blow backs are not an arithmetic progression but more often than not, a geometric progression. Worse is that with the stealing of billions of dollars by the ineffectual baboon or Buffon Jonaclueless, kleptomaniacs Iweala, Madueke, Dasuki, Ihejirika, Badeh, Amosu, Onyeka, all chosen by the Buffon in chief Nonathan, the geometric progression will be multidimensional and highly regressive. Jonathan squandered ECA, foreign reserves from the point Yaradua died by nearly 50%, which is approximately $30 Billion, yet oil was trading at well over $100 and he had almost 6 years and still failed woefully. You can defend your Azikiwe but no human any atom of common sense and basic reasoning skills will buy your hogwash!! |
Nigeria has 'enemies within' for sure. No need to mention names. They are the ones that are sad when Nigerian Forces record another victory or make progress in the NE against BH. They are the ones that are sad when Nigeria chooses to take the pain of today of choosing to stop feeding other countries but ginger, push, encourage, etc Nigerians to make the same things they buy with US$ from China and other countries who are creating jobs at our expense, while Nigerian graduates study for 4 years but cannot find jobs! Yes, some wish to create jobs but how can if they can't access capital from banks who have spent the largest parts of their reserves round-tripping forex, making themselves very rich and taking whatever is left to go and buy more manufactured goods in foreign countries, yet they are crying they are unemployed or under-employed youths? Youths of tomorrow? These same people who defend corruption, shouting "na awa son, na awa pikin, leaf am for us", just because he is from their neck of the woods! No, those are not youths of a thousand years, never mind tomorrow. They've sold their future for a fat pie in the sky that ain't coming anytime soon or ever! When some criminals import weapons and are caught but from some place, they defend them but when the same criminals turn those guns and bullets on them, they blame the same government! What a people! |
praxisnetworks:Exactly the same thing we have told the wailers since 1967 - 70, about Kanu, etc. |
For all the wisdom in your post, the only comment I see here is still "lol"??!! Well, Nigeria and its youth will keep crying that they are not positioned to take over leadership today and always addressed as "leaders of tomorrow". Can any father or company allow these types of youths to lead anything never mind a whole country? |
Ikengawo:Is it 2 Million or you just want to wail as usual? You cannot do everything this country to sabotage Nigeria and still want to be relevant in investment, governance, etc. Wailers over to you!! |
Jona the ineffectual Buffon must be invited and questioned by EFCC, in public and must be charged today court to answer for corruption and criminal charges refunding all monies taken from the treasury, forfeiting all assets and being dragged to jail b his nose! He destroyed this country! No wonder our economy is plummeting daily! All that wasted money should have been saved and invested in the economy not looted like he did! What a corrupt thief of a president!!! |
Which one is Kamanozuzo again?? LWTMB!! You these IPOBs no to kill person with laughter abeg. Op, I advise you not to let them bait you into posting your personal info here under any circumstance. Whether they believe or not who you say you are, value your life and personal info. People are desperate! Kambibaozuzo....so funny! |
If they want to die or choose to die by standing in front of armed soldiers, saying they are brave after being told to leave, a lawful order by law enforcement authorized to use force, then we must all respect the decision of those that decided to use their legs to walk there. If the soldiers had done nothing, I am sure these same IPOBs will call them cowards. Now they followed through with their rule of engagement, use deadly force in the circumstance, now they are still crying. It is their choice, so no further comment. |
EFCC woke up from the dead after the clueless ineffectual buffoon was voted out! ![]() |
If the president or someone says some Nigerians abroad have ruined the reputation of Nigeria and other Nigerians abroad now, there will be another uproar, a hullabaloo about nothing! Do Nigerians think the citizens of countries Nigeria destroys their reputation do not know all the crimes they commit in their countries? Well, Nigerians can pretend but these countries and their citizens are not deceived! |
Finally, some meaningful convictions in the fight against corruption. EFCC was tranquilized by GEJ for at least 6 years. Stealing and smuggling is now corruption. Now, over to the wailing critics of anything positive in this country. |
I hope Nigerians do not keep quiet, but pressure the government and NDA to name, shame, expel and prosecute these useless sets of cadets educated and being paid on tax-payer's expense! The same set of people they now brutalize and beat to near death for an innocuous statement! Kudos to SR! |
God bless Nigeria! Pray for the peace of Nigeria: they shall prosper that love thee! Selah. |
Well, the ineffectual baboon or buffon was there for 6 years and all he did was steal billions of dollars, share billions of dollars via Iweala and Dansuki and share out the Minister's Hill green areas of Abuja to himself and co-thieves! For all those years, you were sleeping right? Well, if only the wailers who do not want the good of this country all move out to the Atlantic ocean or to some remote island in pluto, then Nigerians can fix this country once and for all! |

They will soon fight each other here and call each other names! Anyway, it's your problem, deal with it! |
Can these people ever be in opposition for 1 year without turning coat? This is why they are AGIP! Chai!! |
Dolypson04:Did you ask the ineffectual buffon Jona the same question? Nigerians want the benefits, progress and unemployment rate of a country that will not allow official theft of even 50 cents still celebrate the ineffectual buffon stealing is not corruption and America will know, shouting GEJ till they are dead poor? Well, America has worked really hard for centuries till today but Nigerians, most Nigerians from a certain part of the country keep shouting he is our son, "lif am alone" anytime they're caught trying to steal, yet they want < 5% unemployment levels? You gotta be kidding! |
I used to sympathize and pity the ND whose lands have been destroyed by oil spills for decades but it now appears I (like most other Nigerians) are wrong! The oil companies owned by foreigners are being proved right: the Nigerians of the ND do not care one hoot about their lands and even if oil destroyed the last fish or green sprout, they'd take that for a little handout of money! They bombed a multi-billion dollar infrastructure that will adds and ultimately will always add value to their cities / states, spilled oil that will destroy their environments and cost billions to clean-up, which may not happen for decades given Nigeria's record of handling issues like this, and that is smart? Well, let them just set fire to the place and burn it down completely, let us see who will suffer! |
