Family / Re: Pls Advice Me Can My Husband Ex-girl Be Our Family Friend. by Rhythm(f): 7:40am On Oct 07, 2013 |
She probably thought 'Oh, since she didn't talk in primary school, she's still not talking now'. I suggest that next time she visits, tell her politely to go sit in the living room and that if she needs anything she should ask you. Say all that with a smile too so it doesn't seem like you are insecure about your territory. If she doesn't still get it, then ask her for her own house address, visit her and act the same way around her house. People that snoop around people's houses this way are people that usually don't want people knowing their own houses talkmore wandering around in it. |

bellong: Those type of statements usually come from fathers who failed in their fatherhood responsibilities. Always shifting blame and never being accountable for their responsibilities......Exactly! Only irresponsible parents do that |

bellong: I think this is where most christians get it wrong. Christians spend time trying to discern things of the devil than the things of God. The essence of christianity is that christ died and defeated the devil, yet everyday you see Nigerian christians dedicating years to fighting already defeated stuffs like evil spirits and spirit husbands and bla. No one who calls himself a christian should even believe in these things, 5 Likes |
Family / Re: Whats Your Perspection About A Matrimonial Bed? by Rhythm(f): 12:10pm On Oct 05, 2013 |
Can you change the word 'perspection' on the topic, to 'perspective'. I'd like my matrimonial bed to be sacred both physically and spiritually and anyother way it could. Lots of 'spiritual' activity would definitely go on there, so I want it to be exclusive, like a shrine I've seen couples open up their bedrooms for their kids and guests and househelps as if its like everyother room in the house. I admire those people's openness, but I'm too selfish for that. Like what if you want an afternoon quickie and you can't cuz your sis is asleep on the bed. But If one lives in just one room with the whole family, then the bed automatically becomes a public bed I guess, you've got no choice for that one. |

bellong: ".....But the natural man receiveth not the things of the spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned....."So the things of the spirit of God include spiritual husbands. |
Religion / Re: Do You Believe In Spirit Wife And Husband? by Rhythm(f): 9:07am On Oct 05, 2013 |
I believe most of the things we think we see or know, do not really exist in reality. I'd train up my kids not to believe in such things as spirit husbands, so that when a man walks up to them in the dream and says, I'm your husband, they'd probably just forget the dream by morning instead of waking up to start burning candles, running fron church to church, and killing chickens and blah. I do not believe spirit husbands exist. But I've seen people who believe they do, and it usually works for them too. 5 Likes |

Ujujoan: I'm not in support of guilt-tripping anyone, neither have I done that. All I'm saying is, no one should make anyone feel bad for either helping or not helping. I do not like statements like 'women are their own worst enemies', neither do I like statements like 'giving people money, contribute to societies problem'. Cuz both statements are wrong. I'm not against anyone asking questions, I only tried to direct her to the other thread where these questions were answered, only to find out that she was even the first to comment of that thread, which creates the impression that she's only just talking now for talking sake. Then asking her to move back to her village, as if you don't realise that most people who live in those same villages move to cities like abj to get a job after school, then how realistic is it to ask a job seeker to move back to her village? Is it to start farm work or what? 2 Likes |

Royal Roy: This is her previous story here...... You shouldn't have bothered. Cuz I clicked on it to find she was even the first to comment and say 'sorry'. The lady wasn't even asking for money at first, just a place to stay and keep job-hunting, but then you knew that already. When no one could squat her, she asked if we could help financially. She is staying in a place with 120 rent per year, (which already says its not the best of houses) and she is willing to move to a one-room apartment with cheaper rent. What else do you people want from her biko? Until she packs up her life to go and settle in an unknown village where job-hunting would be restricted to peanuts paying private schools, even after she does that, I still doubt anyone who doesn't wanna send her money would. In my opinion, giving money to people isn't such a bad idea, you just have to know the person's spirit and determination to make it, and this lady doesn't seem bad to me. 2 Likes |
Family / Re: How Do I Know Which Man To Say 'yes' To ? by Rhythm(f): 8:06am On Oct 03, 2013 |
You just want him to have a pastor over him so that you would be sure there's someone who can control him when he 'misbehaves'. People who make these kinda lists are controlling people, and when you mention pastor and parents all you mean is 'partners in the controlling business' who can help in settling your private business. I think these kinda marriages are usually stiff, boring, rigid and unhappy. |

ifyalways: The lady needs a "Job" not house rent money ! And I'm surprised the organizers didn't focus on that. If you need the answer to all these questions, click on the lady's profile and read her original post. She gave a detailed explanation of her predicament. One nice person on that thread even offered to teach her how to bake or something so she does, which is what you too should be doing if you so much want her to be working. Cuz all I see in recent posts here is all talk, no solution. The fact that people have decided to help pay her rent doesn't mean she's not still searching for a job. I understand how someone won't want to help, but it doesn't also mean the people helping are not smart. You say 'so what happens after the rent is paid' but the more pertinent question should be 'What happens after the rent expires'. The lady gets thrown out in the streets b'cuz loads of people who could have helped were warned that they were contributing to society's problems by helping. 3 Likes |

bossybom: People who spend years abstaining from premarital sex most times have to tell themselves lies about sex to help themselves abstain, and once they get married it becomes difficult for some to get rid of all these wrong ideologies they once had. I think that's what's happening to you and your husband. You are scared that asking your own husband for sex would make you look like a slut, to me that's funny and churchy. And goes a long way to show that it might be these kind of funny churchy ideologies that's disturbing both of you. You have to rid your mind of those thoughts, and then help your husband change his mentality too. Start with repeating this sentence ten times 'I'm a slut in the bedroom' 2 Likes |
