I ve noticed that any time am having a discussion with u I need to break it down, real down. U dont starve the hen laying the golden egg. That's the whole idea. Would u rather give lose 90% of ur earning or give just $500b in 6 years? |
Uncountable billions made from Nigerdelta in recent years - iyen to n ko? |
creativity leave banana for monkey. U are either a politician or a relative of one of the known looters. Am not attacking ur personalty, it is logical deduction. |
Believe the worst part. Served in a town with only 1 church. Did evangelism in villages where no church has ever dared to visit. My dear, if we've spent half of the amount we spend in building 1m capacity halls on evangelism and education in the North. In 10 years we would be singing a new song. |
Creativity Pls dont take it person. It's just that when a cancerous ailment like corruption has been engrafted into any system, u need a radical and surgical procedure to remove. What Waziri is currently doing wont deter any corrupt individual. Infact it is only going to encourage them. Ribadu did the right thing at the right time. Forget who he was doing it for. How many corrupt person has Waziri indicted? Last time I checked zero. My dear Nigerians are not monkeys, they might be quiet and cowardly but they know what is what. We can differentiate clear between a sincere fight against corruption and a pure charade. |
the current administration reminds me of that of IBB. |
Muza When the likes of Forbes, Times Magazine, Economists, WHO, UNICEF etc do ratings people listen, but when the likes of NEPA (PHCN), NPF (dysfunctional entities) do ratings no one cares. Ur rating is case of the undesirable awarding the unreadable (words of Chinua Achebe). |
Spent a good part of my service year doing that. P.s as at 6.01 pm 5 December 2008, ma head is still on my shoulder. |
Creativity Am sure one of ur relatives was percuted by Ribadu. And the poor guy (Ribadu) prevented u from spending ur ill gotten wealth. Well now that he's fled the country for his dear life and u guys have a puppet in charge, u can spend ur evil wealth boldly. Happy spending. |
Hi Dapo I like the way u re reaching out to young Nigerians via the internet. It shows how open u re and also shows that unlike most of our past leaders, u probably believe in dialogue. I ve actually been trying to convince some of my friends about ur candiancy, but they ve very adamant, claiming ur were wasteful and prodigious during ur father's tenor. Dapo would appreciate it if u could, thru this forum, highlight some of those things (positive, life touching) u did during ur dad's regime. |
The biggest and finest house on my street is owned by a police. Unfortunately for him, the house almost got burnt a while ago, when some of his boys killed a poor boy on the street, during a crazy shooting spree. |
Dayo No one is saying OBJ is a saint. Am just saying he's the best we've had. And that fact no one can contest. |
Some months ago I read a piece in the one of the National dailies where the ex-president, OBJ, was qouted as saying "a few years from now, the nation would look back and thank God for my administration". Back then I laughed and almost cursed the man. But really, thinking about it now, I think the man was probably right. The administration actually accomplished alot, perhaps much more than any other administration the country has ever had. Forget the various human right abuse accusations, forget the numerous corruption allegations (very few of them were proven anyway). I really think OBJ is the best leader Nigeria has had since independence (at least since 1982, when I was born). OBJ's administration is the only administration that has really considered the future of this nation in its policy formulation and implementation. Granted the man made Nigerians go thru a lot of hardship, but he laid the foundation for the building of strong and virile nation. Some of the outstanding and remarkable feats the administration accomplished were: - clearing most, if not all, of the nation's external debts - inflow of the highest level of foreign direct investment the country has ever witnessed. Thanks to the telecomms industry, LNG industry and many others - increase in the level of the country's foreign reserve - setting aside of the excess crude oil revenue fund (which is the country's saving grace in this era of global credit crunch and economic meltdown). - creation of massive employment facilitated by the increased activities in many sectors of the economy such as the banking, oil & gas and telecomms industry All these are the catalysts for the building of a virile and strong nation. Save for the energy sector, that the admin. left in a very distasteful state, in my opinion OBJ's administration showed great committment to the development of Nigeria. Sadly though, all of these accomplishments are gradually been eroded and the country is steadly slipping back to the days of myopic planning. Now u hear news of the country planning to go back to foreign debts, of the country spending deeply from her foreign reserves. I think what the country really needs at the moment is a man with OBJ's kind of commitment and foresight, but with a lot of human feelings, less arrogance and foolhardiness. Then perhaps the country would finally start its journey to economic and social greatness. |
So am one of the worst NLders. Whaoh I ve got to change then. |
Hi Dapo Hope u're paying advert dues to Seun. Though I personally wasnt so impressed with your dad's administration and also with the lifestyle of his children during his administration. I belive u shd be given a chance to show what u've got in stock for the good people of Ibadan and see u ve u really deserve their votes. |
Lucabrasi U used to make sense. What happened to you? Muza the way IBB had the likes of Humprey Nwosu, Abacha the likes of Adedibu. U ve Lucabrasi. |
Yar Adua = Abacus Counting Machine Obasanjo = HP Notebook In terms of everything. |
if it's true mercenaries were used, then the border with niger should be sealed for a while. those people are a pest

Those pests were invited by other pests. |
ABEG OOOO. I NO GET SON NOT TO TALK OF LOSING ONE. I WAS JUST EMPATHASING WITH THE PARENTS OF THE DECEASED. But really U need to know what it takes to raise a child from children, educate him and have him killed by some hoodlums that havent a dime in their own lives. It's terrible |
My papa says: no reason to fear the dead, its the living we should fear. Nuzo My own papa talk say "Fear uneducated, fanatical Awusa, human life no mean anything to them" |
Josboy prove me wrong. Who else has the history of senseless violence? who else kills over trivial matters? who else delights in killing? Who else has an uncanny penchant for killing people in their prime? |
U want terrorists? Go to Jos Plateau. |
This is what u get when a section of the country believes it has the monopoly of violence. |
What happened in Ekiti was perpetuated by Northerners. Wallai Gaski. |
Josboy Thank your stars this is purely virture and that physical contact is not possible. Am sure u dont understand what it feels like to lose a whole son. One at his prime and u sit there telling me Hausas lost people too. Who started the whole? |
There is no other word for the outrage that just occured in Jos. It is pure genocide. What could have neccessitated the killing of 3 youth corpers and many other students of the University of Jos. A whole presidential election was annulled in June 12 1993. Not a single soul was hacked down. Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group. |
this is not a riot it is genocide |
Josboy U re gradually revealing ur true self. All THIS IS WHAT U GET WHEN PEOPLE DONT DO ANY FORM OF WORK BUT QUEUE AT LG SECRETARIATS AT EACH MONTH END TO SHARE FEDERAL ALLOCATION (HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN, I WASNT TOLD), AS IN SHARE EVERYTHING COMPLETELY. AND OTHERS WORK THEIR ASSES OUT TO PAY TAXES. THE FORMER OF COURSE WOULD HAVE THE STRENGTH FOR FIGHTING AND KILLING, WHILE THE LATTER WOULD NOT. THIS ENTITY CALLED NIGERIA IS WRONGLY POLARIZED. IT IS FUNDAMENTALLY FAULTY, AND NEEDS TO BE BROKEN DOWN AND RECONSTRCUTED RIGTH FROM THE SCRATCH. |
Violence wont solve anything. The solution is education and deislamisation |
Now i get it. U prolly contested for the seat and lost |
Josboy Re u crazy? lives re being lost u re still screaming chairmanship. What's my biz with chairmanship, those young corpers killed could have been the solution to some of the numerous troubles facing mankind. They had dreams, ambitions, loved ones for christ's sake and u re here telling me about chairmanship. |
Bawolo When was the last time the south when on a killing spree. |
