Anywhere you choose, what you need to pray for is for the protection of God, be it in the south or anywhere in the North. I stayed in KD for over 25years, KD has logically been demarcated into the Northern Part (mainly notherners and Moslems) and southern part (mainly Christians). So depending on ur ethnicity/religion, u know where to choose. The southern part is considerably safe and fun if u are a christian and during crises those in Kaduna south seldom experience the crises. but While i lived i KD, i always run to Jos to cool off. Jos has a very good weather, less expensive but i cant say about the security situation. |
Thanks a lot bro |
Wrote my 1st and only JAMB in 1999 same year i finished Secondary school, scored 223 applied for Medicine but was given Chemistry at ABU and Soil Science at OAU that same year since i didnt meet the cutoff point. I chose to go to ABU to study chemistry. I loved Chemistry in Secondary school but hated Chemistry as a course in the Univeristy with a passion and always envied those that were studied Medicine or Pharmacy while i was in school. Thank God i found where my heart was, (every disappointment is a blessing) am now an ICT consultant and i always Thank God i never read the Medicine. |

Interesting Thread. I watched a movie sometime back called Hachi: A dog's tale acted by Richard Gere A drama based on the true story of a college professor's bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home. The dog excorts the man to the train station in the morning and goes to welcome the man in the evening. When Richard Gere(professor) died of cerebral hemorrhage in the movie the dog refused to accept the death of the professor and kept going to the station in the evening anticipating the arrival of Professor. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1028532/ I was moved by the movie and went to see if it was a true story Then i found http://gimundo.com/news/article/hachiko-the-worlds-most-loyal-dog/ Hachikō Hachikō, known in Japanese as chūken Hachikō, was an Akita dog born on a farm near the city of Ōdate, Akita Prefecture, remembered for his remarkable loyalty to his owner, even many years after his owner's death. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hachik%C5%8D In 1924, Hidesaburō Ueno, a professor in the agriculture department at the University of Tokyo, took in Hachikō, a golden brown Akita, as a pet. During his owner's life, Hachikō greeted him at the end of each day at the nearby Shibuya Station. The pair continued their daily routine until May 1925, when Professor Ueno did not return. The professor had suffered from a cerebral hemorrhage and died, never returning to the train station where Hachikō was waiting. Every day for the next nine years the dog waited at Shibuya station. Hachikō attracted the attention of other commuters. Many of the people who frequented the Shibuya train station had seen Hachikō and Professor Ueno together each day. Initial reactions from the people, especially from those working at the station, were not necessarily friendly. However, after the first appearance of the article about him on October 4, 1932 in Asahi Shimbun, people started to bring Hachikō treats and food to nourish him during his wait. This continued for nine years with Hachikō appearing precisely when the train was due at the station Also An incredibly dedicated dog refused to leave his master’s side, even when the man passed away six years ago. Since his owner’s death, Captain has refused to leave the man’s grave. Captain, a German shepherd, ran away from home shortly after his owner, Miguel Guzman, died in 2006, reports The Daily Mail. When the family went to pay their respects a week later, they fount the heartbroken dog sitting by his owner’s grave, wailing in mourning. Vikin: I don't like cats but killing them is something I can't watch!Thats true, but in the case where they have devoured over 100birds Thats some lose to the poultry farmer. |
I used to love cats because i found them closer to man than dogs (in my opinion. They were always inside the house as against dogs that we dont allow into the house. When alone, i found them as good company because they would always want body contact with humans. Their clean nature made me adore them the more. Growing up, we always had dogs in the house, but as soon as our compound got infested with rats, we considered bringing in cats, but it had always been one tale or the other. The one i can never forget was when we always wake up each morning to find about 10 or more birds killed in my mum's poultry, and the creature only cuts open the stomach and intestine and never really eats the chicken. On this faithful day, we decided to stay awake (do Vigil) to know what was was behind the killing of the birds at about 2am, we heard the birds crying and running about in the poultry as was always the case when they were attacked. then we went into the poultry ie myself, my dad and mum and what we found was a sight never to behold. in one corner was our Cat killing some chickens and about 3 or more were already dead infront of it. next to the cat were 2 rats doing jungle justice to the birds also (imagine Wey cat no go after rat, Cat and rats come begin wine and dine on the same table). We pounced on the rats and killed them instantly, for the cat, they say cats have nine lives, Nna men, the thing na true talk ooh. What on earth did we not do to the cat, it refused to die, In the morning, we put the cat inside a sack and went to through it some tens of kilometers from the house. For over ten years after my family never raised any cat again. well the last i went home, i found a cat in the house. i dont know any new tale about the cat, but they always sealed the house so that it stayed only outside, but the cat still always found its way into the house. seems they have forgotten the last Cat episode. |
