In consideration of the presidential pronouncement that all schools should not reopen at this time of national health emergency, the abridged version of the 2014 Batch 'B' orientation course is scheduled to commence from 1st to 8th September, 2014. Prospective corps members deployed to the affected states scheduled for the exercise are to report at the designated orientation camps reflected in their Call-Up Letters for registration. In order to ensure seamless exercise, prospective corps members are advised to report on the dates indicated in the time table presented hereunder. The grouping is in accordance with the geo-political zones where the corps members come from.

ABUJA— NATIONAL Youth Service Corps, NYSC, weekend, debunked a
media report that the orientation course for prospective corps
members deployed to crisis-prone states has been suspended due to
the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease, EVD.
The scheme urged prospective corps members to ignore the report,
saying orientation course for corps members deployed to Bauchi,
Gombe, Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno states was still on course.
A statement by the NYSC Director of Press and Public Relation, Mrs
Olubunmi Aderibigbe, described the report as misleading, asking
corps members to report to their various camps for proper
documentation.
The statement read: “The attention of the NYSC Management has been
drawn to a news report aired on AIT to the effect that the orientation
course for prospective corps members deployed to Bauchi, Gombe,
Adamawa, Jigawa, Yobe and Borno states has been suspended due to
the outbreak of Ebola Virus Disease. .................
