Politics / Re: Kwankwaso Will Win This Election For Obi by Ricky97(m): 7:06pm On Feb 23, 2023
mancoconut:
Lol I said it before that Kwankwaso is a BLESSING to Obi in this election especially in the North, I don't know if even Obi knows this...if Kwankwaso wasn't in this race, I would have been really worried about APC sweeping major key states with bloc votes in the bag considering the unreliability of Atiku pulling his weight in all these states across the North. Kwankwaso is a MAJOR spoiler for Tinubu in the Northwest states where the largest electoral voting base for APC is supposed to come from, now bloc votes in that subregion isn't guaranteed for APC cause PDP and NNPP will spilt votes there inevitably.

I made a point albeit jokingly that once Peter Obi is declared president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in the most dramatic and tense election since Nigeria's history, he should as a matter of necessity make a courtesy "Ranka dede" visit to Kwankwaso and thank him profusely for making his path to victory easier, if Kwankwaso would accept, Obi should promise him a special office in his government.

I watched his rally for the first time today....the guy has an ardent number of followers.

RMK has been really underrated in this election due to the lack of media coverage on him. His has a large chunk of the northern youths who are off social media.
Politics / Kwankwaso Will Win This Election For Obi by Ricky97(m): 6:20pm On Feb 23, 2023
Kwankwaso is more a blessing to Obi than a competition.
Him remaining in this race to the end is strategic for himself but Obi is the immediate beneficiary.

Here's how Obi will likely fare;
+ 25% (NC,NW,NE) cumulatively
+ 39% SW
+ 60% SS
+ >75% SE
+ 45% FCT

Kwankwaso knows he doesn't stand a chance winning this election because of lack of national spread but he's positioning for 2027 and beyond. He is using this election to prove he is a "5m+ votes in the bag" getter, give or take brightening his chances of being a northern consensus candidate pending when it's their turn again.

This scenario helps Obi decentralize bloc votes in the north going to one man. Whereby Kwankwaso, Atiku and Tinubu will get a fair share leaving Obi with sizeable numbers that could aggregate to 25% of total votes cast in the North (NC, NW & NE).

Coming down South the sentiment is it's our turn which dampens Atiku's chances in PDP states plus his party losing G-5 governors. A large chunk of those PDP rebels pit their tent with Obi for obvious reasons asides his experience and capacity in governance.

Tinubu's candidacy is drenched with so much baggage that people can't overlook. Religion is a serious conversation in Nigeria (trivialize it at your own peril), tweaking it further he's clearly not an equity candidate as per Southern Nigeria.
A disadvantaged Tinubu (Ticket composition, Health and Age) makes it all lighter for Obi coupled with his gaffes everytime he graces a podium. Every analyst who doesn't take these fact into consideration is playing around.

Going to the polls BARRING VIOLENCE Obi will comfortably take SE and 60% total votes cast in SS give or take, similar scenario in SW will produce him 39% total votes minimum. His pathway to winning is completely embedded in VIOLENCE FREE ELECTION that will encourage massive voters turn out. This is if president Buhari keeps his word on guaranteeing voters safety nationwide.

So in a nutshell, this election will leave PDAPC with bloody nose steaming from what was awoken politically by EndSars that hasn't been properly put into perspective. The outcome will help galvanize that.

I think the analysis done on this poll is near perfect just that i don't see APC having 35% in Akwa Ibom.

LP will definitely pull a huge surprise in this election, they shouldn't be underrated at all.

Obojuju:
It is now obvious to all and sundry that Tinubu has moved from being the overlord in 2015 to an underdog in 2022, just a year to the election. It's even possible that it'll not just rain but pour on Tinubu. Everything that could get wrong is getting wrong to the point that it'll be an upset for Mr Tinubu to come second in the election. In fact, he may likely drag number 3 with Kwakwanso. How did it get so bad for the Lagos landlord?
I think he hadn't reckoned with the emergence of Obi, but rather anticipated a contest between the north and the south. Tinubu was depending on Southern sentiment to arm twist the north with cries of it's the turn of the south. Unfortunately for him, Obi happened and Nigerians just love him.
It's obvious that Tinubu has invested heavily in northerners to buy their loyalty prior to this time. The man and his mafia had hoped that PDP would field a Southerner from SE/SS. They would have used tribalism, religion and ethnic hatred to arm twist the north to support Tinubu who would have been sold as 'a friend of the north' but unfortunately for Tinubu, Atiku happened and became his nemesis in the North. The north no longer need a friend but "one of their own".
And it gets worse...
With Atiku in the picture, Tinubu panicked ... Atiku is a Muslim and Tinubu has no hope of mass votes in the south. The SE and SS are no go areas for him. Now the north that he banked on for years is slipping off his fingers. What was he to do? Tinubu goofed and went to a Muslim running mate to counter Atiku.
He effectively became the only candidate with an opponent in the north stopping his progress and an opponent in the south stopping his progress. That is the story of Tinubu. From overlord to an underdog. He will come a distant 3rd in the next year presidential election.
Very apt summary

I'mconsidering switchingtoTech
Loewe:

All you need is German language lessons from A1-B2 level to kickstard/restart your academic studies in Germany since it's German taught.

Don't go to Goethe Institut for German language classes, it's the most expensive. Look for other cheaper language classes: there are non-profit institutions that offer language classes for very little fees. Also some city councils organize language classes for refugees and settlers which comes at a very cheap price.

Just try to look for alternatives, you'll be alright.

Politics / Share Your Advice About Starting Up Life In Germany by Ricky97(m): 12:41pm On Mar 13, 2022
Guy please permit me I'll be very short and precise.

I'm a first year medical student in Ukraine, currently in my mid twenties. I obtained my first degree in Medical Physiology back home in Nigeria. I fled to Germany last week to seek refuge due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine crisis. Prior to my coming to Germany i was in Hungary for over two weeks but i decided to head to Germany when i heard they were giving 3months to 1year permit for those fleeing from Ukraine against the 1month been given in Hungary, also coupled with better opportunities in Germany.

Recently I've been sending mails to schools and making enquires about gaining admission to continue my schooling in Germany, but right now I'm opting on going for my Masters programme than continuing my medical journey. Medicine in German public universities are taught in Germany Language while some private universities teach with English language but cost a fortune, secondly schooling in German government universities is free whether you're enrolled in Bachelor's or Masters programme.

Right now there are little or no schooling offering admission. My best bet is enrolling in the German Language study(B1 Level) which runs for like 6months and will cost around €4000.

Last night i had an interaction with my friend who's squatting me and currently on her post studies, with what i heard about Germany its really hard over here because the tax system is so unbearable. She advised i start up the Language school if i really want to base here considering i cannot survive here without knowing the basics, else i should look for admission to enable me get a work permit, save up money and move to a better country like canada. We also talked about the processed of getting a German which she said is very difficult and rigorous.

Folks in Germany or those who knows about the German system can you please give your input about settling down here permanently or temporarily then work towards moving to another country in a couple of years.
