But why in White House and not in Aso Rock??

While in my final year in one of Nigeria's Medical School, the best student was no where recognized by anybody. He travelled to the UK, became a barber in order to raise money to pay his school fees. He is today in the US doing considerably well all by his efforts alone and no form of recognition.

While I congratulate Uzodinma for his success which is when preparation meets opportunity, I do know he may not have made such degree of success with our shores here.

Many Nigerians have no good opportunities despite ADEQUATE PREPARATIONS.

In the White House they focus on talent, In Aso Rock dem go focus on tribe first. That is a shame. But there is hope.

Majority of Yoruba men know how to love a woman and show her love. If a Yoruba man loves his woman, he would treat her like a queen. Yoruba men are romantic. That's why you still see poor Yoruba men with loyal wives.

Majority of Igbo men aren't really romantic. Most of them think they are, but they actually aren't. They believe being romantic is by spending money on a woman, rather than showing her affection.
The average Igbo man would first acquire all the wealth he can acquire before thinking of going into a serious relationship, especially one aimed at marriage, because he believes that money is the most essential thing in a relationship, and that's a wrong notion.

And before people start calling me a tribal bigot, I am actually Igbo, but I always try as much as possible to always uphold the truth, irrespective of the tribe(s) involved.

You don launch the first volley now abi?

Nigeria as a country is not doomed but i can assure you that Niger-delta region will be a war-torn region.

I only pity innocent inhabitants.....

I can assure you that you and the militants ll all cry when Nigeria soldiers finish with that region.

Lol!!!! No country in the world has ever fallen as a result of militant threat or economic sabotage.

Having tried to bring peace to that region by way of amnesty, what you and the militants don't realise is that both UN and world powers ll be in support of Nigeria army against that region when the right time comes.

However, Niger-delta has Igbo inhabitants and i strongly believed that Igbos are behind this. If Federal government finds out that Igbos want to use Niger-delta has a alibi for their selfish desire, then the battle ll be shifted to their door step in the East where the little development in that region goes in flame.

Finally, nobody ll pity Igbos this time around. Igbos' cup is full and it's right time to deal with them decisively. What Igbos failed to understand is that Northerners in power will rather die than allow Igbos to have their way.

Northerners prefer civil war so as to finish what they could have finished in 70s. It's obvious in their write ups online and attitude in political arena that Igbos are pretty doomed. Read my lips, Northerners are already preparing for civil war if you dont know...... And Heaven ll not fall when Federal government descend on Igbos...

The so- called militant is threatening to abduct expats (who did nothing to him) and to also destroy his own country?
There is no way the Nigerian Federal Govt. should tolerate these threats and blackmail.

The individual says he is being hunted now? Bc Kanu is in detention?

We are industrious, and do not wait for handout from Abuja.
Yet, we have these murderous invaders who call themselves fellow citizens.

You wont understand my post bro, I understand with you.

As for those looting Nigeria, they draw strength from fraudulent structure and the constitution given to us by northern Nigeria army officers.

I am not frustrated one bit, I only know my identity and my destiny.
My identity was mis-configured by slave traders and my destiny toyed with.

So you dont understand my post?

Let me try and be more simple.

You accused Kanu of soliciting for arms to wage war against Nigeria. and I am saying e took that position because Nigeria only hear when violence is involved.

There has been peaceful protests down here for some weeks, but how do you people respond? "Shoot the all".

My question is this, these invaders have right to arms, why cant we also?

Seems like you blame the north? Open your heart bro.
OBJ and GEJ are northerners too?

Unfortunately, GEJ supervised wholesale looting.

Have you not heard of nation states? Nigeria is one.
Or do you think that we should have 1000 nation states in Africa- one for every tribe that knows their identity?

That isn't going to dampen the spirits of his supporters one bit, if anything it will make them more determined than ever. This has gone beyond bringing someone to court in handcuffs. Metuh? Metuh is a thief (at least that is what he is charged with - looting.) He brought shame to Igbos and you are here talking about more support for a thief? Or did Metuh share some of the stolen money with you??

My point is this:

There are two ways to self determination, by peace or by force.

Nigeria does not listen to peaceful people, they kill them.
Do you know how many thousands of our people killed by Nigeria under Uwazurike peaceful movement?

People were shot point blank at close range.
Do you know how many people that have died so far in these protests?

Saro Wiwa was peaceful, Nigeria hanged him!
Asari carried arms, Nigeria listened and negotiated.

As much as I disagree with Nnamdi on his approach, I must admit that he has taken this struggle to an unprecedented level within a very short time.

Also, let me tell you that right now, Fulani herdsmen invade our lands, destroy our crops, maim, kill our men and rape our women.

Shall we remain silent and shout about "peace'?

What right do they have to carry arms that we dont?
What right did Luggard have to invade our lands with arms that we dont have?

If it is peace, then let us discuss in peace.
But if you have gun on my head, it is my right to also have gun on your head.
What is good for goose is also good for the gander!

I really tried to understand your post but could not.
What are you really saying? I just sense that you are frustrated.

SO Fulani herdsmen invading your land? I doubt that you as an individual own any land.
Asari got really fat and enriched himself in the end is that the point of the "struggle?"

Failed leadership and corruption is the enemy of Nigeria.
Do you not hear about the kind of money ( billions that were stolen?)
Money that should have been used to build infrastructure for you and me instead pocketed by a few thieves.
God willing, Nigeria will kill whole sale corruption.

Exactly my opinion of them.

They don't mind the disorder or chaos, Infact they thrive in it. Once a market begins to look too clean or organised, it is a turn off for them.

Imagine some complaining that the new market will only accommodate 600 traders, while the chaotic refuse dump that was destroyed accommodated 2000 - 5000 traders. They are asking what the government want the remaining traders to do?

It seems the Igbos among them have not heard of the land of the rising sun?

They claim Lagos needs them and is at their mercy because of a phantom IGR percentage due to them. Now the Lagos government has decided that a spacious, neater market with lower shop units is the way to go, but they are now worried that they have no market available to them in Lagos. Why not leave the ungrateful Lagos and return to their homeland? Shakara don end.

I have always maintained that no host nation is at the mercy of a certain tribe of immigrants. If the Mexicans will not tend to the gardens and housekeep for the Americans, the Cubans will.

Yorubas should do what they need to do with their states, without regard to anyone.

I m sure you are a two faced idiot. When you see Igbo on the street you smile at them. When you here on NL you spew hate.

Fact is Igbos have every RIGHT to reside in Lagos, Nigeria - the former federal capital. If you like call Igbos name till Kingdom come it does not mean anything. Those properties were bought by Igbos - so you better pay your rent or they throw you out.

You have two choices

1. Continue the hate and Stayed pained until you die before your time from hate induced high blood pressure, or
2. Accept reality and co - exist and learn to love thy neighbor

It is your choice and which one that you choose does not really matter to Igbos

There is a limit to human tolerance, even you as the governor would have acted far much earlier than Ambode did.
Governor Fashola engaged these traders for the better part of his tenure. The oyingbo market was planned for demolition and rebuilding along the Owonifari market, while the Yorubas occupying the oyingbo market left for the reconstruction, the Igbos in Owonifari were using all sort of tricks and excuses to delay the demolition.
The oyingbo market is a thriving modern stall market today.
Ambode simply called off their bluff after all attempts to engage them to move out peacefully have failed, thus resulting to the forceful eviction.
Igbo traders need a change in orientation in Lagos, they should stop hiding under Federal government to confront the state government.

I commend you bro. You are winning this argument on the strength of your logic.

You have a good heart. The problem however is your mindset. You have been programmed that everything is a direct attack against Igbo interest, even when it's obvious that is not the case.
For eight years, they were engaged, dialogue with, and they keep coming up with excuses why the demolition should be postpone, they even insisted on not relocating to the allocated new market because it's story buildings with Lags BEGGING them to accept since land is scarce in Lagos to erect bugalow market that will consume more space.
Truth is NO GOVERNMENT anywhere in the world will stomach half of what the Igbo traders in Lagos tries with LASG.

Your commentary is balanced and devoid of insults, hence i took the time to consider your points. Personally, I appreciate logic not the useless insults that we see from faceless children here. They cannot support any argument hence the throw insult.
I do not generally attack tribes but individuals and usually based on their actions. I invite you to please review my posts. Attacking tribe based on individual misdeed is illogical. I generally do not do that.

Ambode destroying this market may ultimately be justified as you tried to explain. But he needed to execute it better. The timing seems mean spirited and having peoples wares looted and burned while they were away is very bad. It sends the wrong message.

Again, I do not judge Ambode bc he is a Yoruba man. I consider him a Nigerian governor first and formest. But i believe that he is proving a bit inexperienced. He will learn from this and learn to sell things better.

Lastly, Igbos and Yoruba feud is the biggest gift to Northern Nigeria. See although I supported and still support PMB, I do not really think he takes Southern Nigeria very seriously. Look at his first 40 appointments. But we Southern Nigerians have ourselves to blame.

I give up on you... Okay, Ambode demolished the market purely to punish Igbos because he hates Igbos. In fact his hatred for Igbos was amplified when Igbos failed to vote for him. Ambode will even do anything humanly possible to punish and punish the Igbos until he completely cripples every Igbo business and sends Igbos out of Lagos. Ambode is a terrible diabolic Yoruba man whose hatred for Igbos transcends human understanding and he will never rest until he sees Igbos completely annihilated.

Obviously the above narrative is the sort of story you just want to hear over and over again. It is sweet melody to your soul, nothing else gives more pleasure to your heart and it even gives you intense orgasms. There you go with the exact thing you want to hear.. Good night!

What is your problems now? You and I were having a good discussion as to what divides us and Why. We were airing out the arguments and counter argument then all of a sudden you flip. Ambode is a public figure, a politician and attack on him or his policies is FAIR game. It is NOT necessarily an attack on Yoruba people. DONT CONFUSE the two.

I am a business man myself and I understand business and economics. When you destroy peoples goods it is a DIRECT hit on their bottom line. In Nigeria we dont ( or hardly have insurance) so those goods are lost. Some people owe on those goods. SO now you have let them destitute and debtors too.

You are an intelligent person ( not one of these thugs, devoid of logic in their brains that come here to shout insults) - at least from from your post I can see that. Yoruba and Igbo are badly hurting themselves and that road is a DEAD END. I myself supported Buhari because I felt that Jonathan was WEAK and ineffective leader. GO research my posts here on NL from during the election if you doubt me.

SO attacking the governor is NOT attacking Yoruba. I hate that he has impoverished all the OSHODI traders whom happen to ne majority IGBO.

Likewise you can too in ABA. You can accept that reality or continue to be annoyed all you want. Your choice.

The issue for me is SIMPLE - AMBOdes destruction of Igbo people Capital by the government of the day WITHOUT compensation. Look at the topic of this thread if you forgot. This act is DONE in bad faith. Why not let the people come back so they can have an opportunity to at least move their wares?
