To Amaechi's supporters, he's a god to them and to some APC members outside the state, he gave them the presidency. But to us here, we know what we lost and our still losing because of him. Amaechi probably the most corrupt governor in Nigeria and this doesn't mean GEJ isn't corrupt but Rivers State is my constituency and that's where I care about. am still doubting u o lololololol lose ke. pls what did u lose? if really u are from Rivers u wouldn't b talking of losing anything. excerpt u are part of d few that enjoyed d national cake. check my post not a party man but glad APC came on board |

Politics › Rivers State Gov Wike Visits Chief Justice Of Nigeria Twice In A One Month by ricsman(op): 1:31pm On Jul 20, 2015*. Modified: 2:40pm On Jul 20, 2015 |
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has paid two visits to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Mahmud Mohammed, at the Supreme Court, Abuja, this month, officials have said. Nyesom Wike One of the visits to the CJN, it was learnt, coincided with the day the Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, sitting in Abuja, conducted hearing in an application filed by Wike to challenge an order permitting his opponent to inspect the electoral materials used for the poll that brought him to office. Investigations by our correspondent in Abuja showed that the visits were made without prior appointments. The election of the former education minister, who ran for the governorship on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, is being challenged by the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Dakuku Peterside. The Rivers State Governorship Elections Petition Tribunal had on July 9 reaffirmed its ex parte order made on June 11, 2015, granting permission to Peterside, to inspect the electoral materials used for the poll. Peterside and the APC had on May 3, 2015, filed their petition before the tribunal to challenge the victory of Wike at the poll. The Justice Muazu Pindiga-led tribunal had in a ruling dismissed Wike’s application asking for the setting aside of the June 11, 2015 order. The judge also adjourned till July 22 for the commencement of the pre-hearing session in the petition. Wike has however denied that his visit to the CJN had anything to do with his case. Our correspondent learnt that Wike did not meet the CJN on his first visit, which was a Monday. The number one judicial officer in the country was said to have travelled to Saudi Arabia for the Lesser Hajj. Wike however repeated the visit two days later, when he was able to discuss with the CJN. A source in the governor’s entourage, disclosed to our correspondent that the members of staff in the office of Mohammed were shocked to see the governor. The source said, “There was no proper appointment because as soon as the governor stepped in and said he would like to see the CJN and was asked if it was on appointment, he answered in the negative. “Nevertheless, he was allowed to see the CJN; but unfortunately, the CJN was not in the country as he was in Saudi Arabia for the Lesser Hajj.” The Publicity Secretary of APC in Rivers State, Chief Chris Finebone, said the visit was curious. Finebone said though his party believed that the person of the CJN was beyond compromise, he nevertheless wondered why Wike refused to carry the media along during the visits. He said, “We have no cause to doubt the integrity of the CJN, but we must say that the visits must have been made open and known to Nigerians. Why was it not made known? “Wike believes that every human being has a price. His problem is just to identify the price. His case is pending and he refused to go with the media during the visits. “We want to believe that the visits didn’t happen and if it happened, he must tell Nigerians why he chose to embark on the visit without the media.” He called on Nigerians and the people of Rivers to monitor the activities of the governor. Reacting to the visit, the national leadership of the PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, said there was nothing wrong with the visits. Metuh said that the governor had the right to pay official visit to the CJN, adding that he (Wike) should not be vilified because of that. “Yes, he has the right to pay official visit or courtesy calls on the CJN and I see nothing wrong with that,” he said. Wike, while denying going to lobby the CJN for his pending tribunal case, told our correspondent that he was at the office because of the issue surrounding the appointment of the acting Chief Justice of Rivers State. He said since the acting Chief Judge of his state was appointed about three months ago, there was the need to seek the permission of the National Judicial Council to approve and renew the appointment. Wike said, “I didn’t go there to lobby for anything cynical. If I was going to lobby for anything like that, would I go in the afternoon? “You may wish to know that we have an acting Chief Judge in my state, and the judiciary is already on vacation and that the NJC may also be on vacation. “So, I needed to do a letter to the NJC on the need to extend or approve the appointment of the acting CJ in my state. I went there on the two days in daytime; and see Nigerians, they are already imputing another meaning to the visits.”

brainpower: Thanks for the insults. First of all, I don't want to die for GEJ because he isn't God and he's also responsible for his defeat. Secondly, I'm not a party member so I must say it the way it is in my mind. Thirdly, thank God man isn't God if not with this kind of insults coming from you, I would have been dead by now. Talking about where both of them are, it is quite clear. GEJ is at home resting and preparing for any moves PMB will make against him while amaechi escorted Buhari to the US as an ordinary citizen. Amaechi is lobbying for a position while GEJ is making governors. In as much as they have both excelled in their various endevours, I don't think you can compare GEJ's personal achievements to amaechi's. Don't forget he was the president of Nigeria, a position that will take wiping away history for Amaechi to ever be able to achieve. who said u are not a party man? guy u b big PDP card carrying member. only PDP hate Ameachi. SARAKI vs TINUBU!!!
Saraki and Tinubu entered a chocolate shop in New
York City. As they were busy looking around,
Tinubu stole 3 chocolate bars. As they left the store,
Tinubu said to Saraki:
"Man, I'm the best thief - I stole 3 Chocolate Bars
and
none saw me.
You can't beat that!"
Saraki replied:
"You want to see something better? Let's go back to
the shop and I'll show you some real 'intelligent'
stealing."
So they went up to the counter and Saraki said to
the Shopkeeper:
"Do you want to see some real magic, man?
"The Shopkeeper replied:
"Yes...!"
Saraki said:
"Give me one chocolate bar." The Shopkeeper gave
him one, and Saraki ate it. He asked for a second
bar, and he ate that as well. He asked for the third,
and as he finished it, the Shopkeeper asked:
"But where's the magic?"
Saraki replied:
"Check in my friend's pocket, and you'll find all the
three Bars of chocolate that I've just eaten....
=)) .Iyalaya magic !!! |

Politics › Re: Heard DSS Has Begun Screaming For Major Appointment by ricsman(op): 9:45pm On Jun 27, 2015 |
atlwireles: Unable to choose his working team, Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari has been struggling to kick-off a regime he bragged so much about. The All Progressives Congress APC, it may be recalled, ran an electioneering race projecting their candidate, now the president, as a fiscally astute conservative who would curb corruption and appropriately manage the country’s economic and financial resources. The masses at this time are getting something entirely different.
While Buhari, a former dictator backflips with official duties in a representative system unfamiliar to his individual aptitude, his camp has been busy showcasing him with falsehood and deceptive fairy tales. To substitute for total lack of answers for his regime catastrophe, the APC social media warriors have been feeding disappointed masses with some worthless rooster-and-bull tales of what is now termed the ‘Buhari Wonders.”
The first fake story to justify Buhari’s humility, and considerateness to money matters came during the government transition period, when the APC claimed that predecessor, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan presented a billion naira budget for delegates’ lunch, but Buhari the “good money-manager” declined any expenses, saying that his transition team would bring their own lunch. Meanwhile this president was in London at the time on a controversial mission not properly communicated to his constituents.
A similar story yet made it to the network from the Buhari’s camp on how during the South Africa’s trip, Buhari paid the hotel bills for his staff, and asked the rest of the entourage to pay their own bills. This was a president yet to name a single staff till date. The propaganda continued with another rumor that hundreds of politicians, including the Petroleum Minister, Alison-Madueke had returned billions of Dollars stolen from the government – because they were afraid of Buhari the “respected honest money-keeper” and disciplinarian.
It is despicable that at this crucial time in the regime, the APC social media ensemble, running out of Buhari praise-worship songs are busy telling self-indulgent stories including comparing Buhari and Jonathan’s cars, use of presidential jets, Buhari’s choice of transportation, and ostensibly his suya flavor. But how long would they continue to feed the masses with these tommyrots.
As I write, the Buhari’s camp in the social media are still tagging around senseless stories about Buhari opting to fly in the economy class over first class; or choosing Okada over official convoy; or proposing to be eating on the floor instead of an official dining table; or heading to Alhaji Suya "bukateria" for his inauguration dinner rather than the traditional Aso-Rock in-house executive banquet.
Major questions remain – when would Nigerians start getting substantial information about the running of the government? Where are the ‘missing girls’? When is this ‘change’ going to start? Where is the unemployment salaries? Where are Buhari’s ministers? Who has been making all decisions so far? Is this still a democracy?
Indeed, Buhari and those who bejeweled him into his current executive predicament have been facing a more complicated political landscape. Even as Buhari announced as a terror-defense strategy, a relocation of the country’s armory to Borno State, Nigeria has remained under a terrorist attacks. In fact, last Monday's suicide bombing at a crowded fish market occurred in the northeastern city of Maiduguri – the same region where the regime relocated its arsenal.
Let us be clear then – that a president chose a wheelbarrow as an official car does not make him morally decent and fiscally astute; it only exposes his ignorance to issues of fiscal policies. Buhari, and indeed his Yahoo drum-beaters should explain their frameworks and preparedness to fiscal reformation. They should tell Nigerians how the regime can sustain in the long run, the existing spending, policies, and tax - without jeopardizing Nigeria’s creditworthiness, obligations or projected expenses.
Without Ministers; not a single known adviser, and without any working team besides obsequious cohorts who worship him, President Buhari is already abusing his official duties, making contradictory policy comments, dictating unmanageable strategy undertakings, and flip-flopping with dire issues of national significance.
As a matter of urgency, the masses are waiting for their new president to at least acquaint them with his plans to proceed. They want to hear about the machinery to translate electoral promises into action, not about limousines, and jets. In a government structure where the President cannot communicate, cannot relate, and worse, cannot corroborate his own policies, there is every reason to worry. It is torturing that under the current regime, citizens have to rely on repentant party bloggers to know the fate of their current economic woes.
