He is a civil engineer . No other skill asides that. And he is of the opinion that I should accept the job in the UK mainly because of the kids.
How much is he earning? For a woman, contributing/making 5 million naira is good for the family. Goodluck.

Pls if you have recently applied for a US visa (B1,B2 or both) from the London embassy and were approved, how long did it take for you to get back your passport? Or how long did it take to change from approved to issued?

Sos. I don’t know where to start or if this is the right way. Please is there anyone that can help or knows how long to get an Emergency Travel certificate from the Nigeria High Commission? Can it be gotten the same day? Just lost my surviving parent and need to travel to Nigeria tomorrow.
If you work with the High Commission and can also help, you would be doing so much good to my soul.
If it’s okay to ask, please no condoling messages as it will make things tougher for me and pull me down further. Thanks all.

Thanks I will tell applicant to exclude that from his application if that will infact be an issue. So only tie to Nigeria will be business CAC registrations and invoices of business activities, savings of 20k GBP in FCMB , wedding cert and child birth cert. Anything else to suggest pleasE ?
Also for me being the Sponsor in the UK, I have my residential house and also a mortgage on another property (a Buy to Let property) which is an additional income for me i.e rental Income.
Whilst it boost my capability to sponsor a family visit from Nigeria, i am concerned this may be seen as i have an extra property for family to stay in and may not see the need to return back to Nigeria if they have an accommodation here in the UK ?.. What do you think Again just borrowing your brains
it is the applicant’s circumstances tht will be the defining factor. As for u the sponsor u show funds, prove why you are sponsoring, and then source of funds. For the applicant, the onus is on him to prove he will return to Nigeria BASED ON HIS CIRCUMSTANCES. not yours. I suggest u Visit the general visa thread for insight not here.

Thanks for your response. So no point adding that the student currently has £5000 deposited with a UK University ?
it is not a tie oga. Keep that out of your visit visa application.

@Justiwse and others please
Is it wise to declare a future Study visa application in a current visit application ? Perhaps this would count as a reason for the applicant to return back to Nigeria huhBasically, Teeside deferred student and will issue CAS for Sept/Jan intake 2023 but applicant wish to visit the UK in April.
Will it help as a reason to go back to Nigeria if declared the intention of applying for a student visa in Sept 2020/Jan 2023 Intake ?£5000 school fees deposited paid and defer confirmation received from University. £20k GBP in FCMB savings. I will be sponsoring the cost of travel to the UK for visit Just picking up brains from you lot, please.
Any response will be appreciated.
a future student visa application is not a tie to your country, dnt bother

Good morning folks. Please is there any way I can send pounds to naija and the recipient will get it in pounds instead of Naira ??
I have just heard u can send through world remit pounds and the recipient will pick up USD in Nigeria. Cash pick up of dollars, few banks listed eg FCMB, First Bank, GTB
Recipient must have the main photo id eg Intl passport, National id etc and the names must match and a valid phone number by which they will receive their code.
U and the recipient must not have an account in the bank to be able to do pick up. Dollars in cash will be given.

I wonder why the moderator(s) are removing some people’s posts concerning currency exchange whilst leaving others.
You must understand that this is the situation at hand and for now this mini black market exchange has come to stay. It is nobody’s fault on this platform.
The Federal Government of Nigeria's new policies is making it difficult for banks to send money to those in Nigeria and there’s no timeline nor an end date in sight for this.

They made the harsh rules, blocked the avenues and all of us will be at the receiving end one way or the other, my own is just allow people be.
Thank you!

Pls I need naira.. if you want pounds, send a message

Good day everyone.
Pls I am back again.
Noticed there is a landline socket already in my apartment probably installed by the last tenant for BT, I have rang BT and they say they will have to re-set up the landline connection which will cost something like 70 pounds but they will waive it off when they are doing the broadband. This is just paraphrasing.
Pls what is the reason for landline and hope I won’t get bills sent to me for landline because I dnt think I would use it. Also is there anything else I need to know about this?
Thank you in advance.

Go for smarty they are very good, if you don't finish your data by the end of the month they will give you a discount in your next topup, basically you are only paying for what you used

Thank you.

When you select a provider as the previous poster advised it might take up to 2 weeks for them to set you up.
Till then get a free 3 no-contract data sim and buy an unlimited data package for 35 quid for just one month (I think their unlimited data has about the best price when I checked for my recently arrived friend earlier this month), if 3 has a good network in your area. When your broadband's set up, you retire the sim.

Simple.
Thank u. Yes i got 3 no contract sim but the network in my area is horrible. The past few hours has been hell with their network in my area. Thanks for the other recommendation.

Do you research from this website - :

BT
Talk Talk
Sky
Plusnet
Virgin

And finally moneysupermarket.........

Àbi you no get data for your mobile phone too...... In that case, even Jesus cannot help you.........

Or better still, get a mobile phone contract with huge data allowance, then hotspot....... grin

NB : For home broadband packages, you don't need to add a landline (you can only opt for home broadband only package)........

Don't thank me........ cheesy
Thank you o. No vex o. Per ur last statement, do i or do i not need a landline?
