noblezone: If only you can show me that Hitler waged his wars in the name of Christ the Messiah, that would be different.
Hitlers loyalty was to his Nazi party and to his German nation.

Did he tell you that he was destroying people in the name of his religion?

You are trying to say that since Hitler a christian did violence, then Shekau the leader of Boko Haram is also doing violence and there is no difference.

Here is the difference:
Hitler was not forcing anybody to convert to Christianity, Shekau and his Jihardists are killing people in the name of Allah and Islam. they are fighting a religious war. Hitlers war was not religious!

Stop deluding yourself!
Is shekau also forcin religion on those muslim killed in the mosque

noblezone: Before you mislead yourself into confusion!

Hitlers heritage was Christianity!

But here me and here me well: Hitlers wars was not in the name of Christ nor Christianity.
Hitler fought his wars as a German! He fought for his race!

His campaign was not to expand the Christian faith but to expand the dominion of the Germans.
He was not fighting the enemies of his religion but the enemies of his nation.

Hitlers passion was "Nazism" and not Christianity.

Hitlers motivation did not come from the words of Jesus, they were his own opinion.
He did not learn violence from the church.

yet, we have a situation where violence is preached by Imams! People move from mosques to go and attack innocent people because there was a call to fight for Allah!

I hope you get the difference?
In George Orwell's, 1984 , it was stated, "Who controls
the past controls the future, who controls the present
controls the past."
Who is going to control the present -
fundamentalism or freedom? History is being
distorted by many preachers and politicians. They are
heard on the airwaves condemning atheists and
routinely claim Adolph Hitler was one. What a crock!
Hitler was a Roman Catholic, baptized into that religio-
political institution as an infant in Austria. He became a
communicant and an altar boy in his youth, and was
confirmed as a "soldier of Christ" in that church. The
worst doctrines of that church never left him. He was
steeped in its liturgy, which contained the words,
"perfidious Jew." This hateful statement was not
removed until 1961. Perfidy means treachery.
In his day, hatred of Jews was the norm. In great
measure it was sponsored by the two major religions of
Germany, Catholicism and Lutheranism. He greatly
admired Martin Luther, who openly hated the Jews.
Luther condemned the Catholic Church for its
pretensions and corruption, but he supported the
centuries of papal pogroms against the Jews. Luther
said, "The Jews deserve to be hanged on gallows seven
times higher than ordinary thieves," and "We ought to
take revenge on the Jews and kill them." "Ungodly
wretches" he calls the Jews in his widely read Table
Talk.
Hitler seeking power, wrote in Mein Kampf. "... I am
convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator.
By fighting off the Jews. I am doing the Lord's work."
Years later, when in power, he quoted those same
words in a Reichstag speech in 1938.
Three years later he informed General Gerhart Engel: "I
am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so."
He never left the church, and the church never left
him. Great literature was banned by his church, but his
miserable Mien Kampf never appeared on the Index of
Forbidden Books.
He was not excommunicated or even condemned by his
church. Popes, in fact, contracted with Hitler and his
fascist friends Franco and Mussolini, giving them veto
power over whom the pope could appoint as a bishop
in Germany, Spain and Italy. The three thugs agreed to
surtax the Catholics of their countries and send the
money to Rome in exchange for making sure the state
could control the church.
Those who would make Hitler an atheist should turn
their eyes to history books before they address their
pews and microphones. Acclaimed Hitler biographer,
John Toland, explains his heartlessness as follows: "Still
a member in good standing of the Church of Rome
despite detestation of its hierarchy, he carried within
him its teaching that the Jew was the killer of god. The
extermination, therefore, could be done without a
twinge of conscience since he was merely acting as the
avenging hand of god..."
Hitler's Germany amalgamated state with church.
Soldiers of the vermacht wore belt buckles inscribed
with the following: "Gott mit uns" (God is with us). His
troops were often sprinkled with holy water by the
priests. It was a real Christian country whose citizens
were indoctrinated by both state and church to blindly
follow all authority figures, political and ecclesiastical.
Hitler, like some of today's politicians and preachers,
politicized "family values." He liked corporal
punishment in home and in school. Jesus prayers
became mandatory in all schools under his
administration. While abortion was illegal in pre-Hitler
Germany he took it to new depths of enforcement,
requiring all doctors to report to the government the
circumstances of all miscarriages. He openly despised
homosexuality and criminalized it. If past is prologue,
we know what to expect if liberty becomes license.
As a young child, I remember my late father, Martin J.
Murphy, practicing a speech and loudly quoting the
following: "Light up the mountain. Bring out the wild
and fiery steed. Let it be known, that I, Gustavus, have
insulted the King." Thinking for yourself and speaking
your true thoughts - now that's a real family value.

There are two Islams in the world today. (1) There is
the Islam of the Qur'an, which is one of the great
religions of the world. It is a religion of peace (not of
pacifism nor of aggression) and of divine justice (not
of
divine tyranny nor of divine intimacy). (2) There is
also
the Islam of the terrorists, who are murderers and
assassins, especially murderers of their fellow
Muslims.
Shiites and Sunnis hate each other for their
"heresies"
more intensely than either hates the West. (The
London
bombings deliberately targeted Muslim
neighborhoods.)
Which of these two Islams (of the Qur'an or of the
terrorists) will prevail? God only knows. But to
whatever
extent the first Islam is from God, it will prevail
because
God will prevail.
I do not see how a Christian can deny that (1) there
is
much in Islam that is from God, beginning with its
essence, total surrender to God's will. Nor do I see
how
a Christian can deny that (2) there are things in
Islam
that are directly contrary to God, beginning with its
rejection of Christ as divine Savior, and its ignorance
of
the amazing "good news" that God is love and has
destined us not for eternal servitude but eternal
spiritual marriage to him. It is very tempting, if you
clearly see either of these two things, to ignore the
other one.
There are also two Christianities in the world today.
There is (1) the Christianity of the New Testament,
and
there is (2) the Christianity of accommodation to
modernism, egalitarianism, niceness, naturalism, pop
psychology, secular humanism, relativism,
subjectivism,
individualism, "Enlightenment" rationalism or
postmodern irrationalism. New converts to the first
Christianity are constantly amazed and scandalized by
finding many of their clergy to be in love with the
second and in fear of the first. Which of the two will
prevail? If Christianity is from God (and the Qur'an
says
it is!), then the first will prevail over the pablum
perversions of it.
I do not know which Islam will prevail. But I know
that
thetemporal fate of half the world depends on it. I
do
know which Christianity will prevail, however, and I
know that the eternal fate of all the world depends
on
it. I do not know the future of Islam, but I do know
the
future of the Church, for I know Who promised her
that
the gates of hell would not prevail against her. And if
hell itself will not prevail against her, I'm sure that
neither the Islamic perversion nor the Christian
perversion will prevail against her.
Thus there are not just one but four confrontations
between Islam and Christianity in the world today. ( I
am not speaking of the political and military
confrontation between Islam and the West, but of the
religious confrontations.)
First, there is the confrontation between terrorist
Islam
and New Testament Christianity, between the sword
and
the cross, between murder and sacrifice, between
false
and true martyrdom. Christianity will win this
confrontation because "love is stronger than death"
and therefore also stronger than hate; because
"there is
power, power, wonder working power in the
Precious
Blood of the Lamb."
Second, there is the confrontation between Qur'anic
Islam and modernist Christianity, between conviction
and relativism, between honor and shamelessness,
between true and false justice. Islam will win this
confrontation (as it is already winning in Europe) for
a
similar reason: because self-sacrifice is stronger than
self-indulgence.
Third, there is the confrontation between terrorist
Islam
and modernist Christianity, between the sword and
relativism. This is also part of Europe's current
struggle.
I do not know who will win this confrontation,
because
both parties are based on falsehood and weakness.
But
I think Islam will win because modernist Christianity
has
no will to win. Indeed, it has no will at all.
Fourth, there is the real confrontation, and the only
real dialogue, between Qur'anic Islam and New
Testament Christianity. This is as old as St. John
Damascene. I think this high and honorable dialogue
between two high and honorable faiths will continue
(though the other three confrontations will get much
more media attention) and that something great will
come of it. That is the dialogue exemplified by the
conversations between 'Isa and his three Christian
friends, especially Fr. Heerema, in this book. In this
confrontation, both "sides" will win.

Islam › Misconception: Islam Was Spread By The Sword by Rilwayne001(op): 10:56pm On Oct 28, 2013
Background: Some think that the main reason the
message of islam spread so far and wide was that it was
enforced upon others by way of the sword and war.
It is a proven fact that according to The Quran there is
no compulsion in religion:

Let there be no compulsion in religion: Truth stands out
clear from Error: whoever rejects evil and believes in
God has grasped the most sure hand-hold, that never
breaks. And God is Hearing, Knowing. [2:256]
According to The Quran, this is how to invite others to
islam:

Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good
instruction, and argue with them in a way that is best.”
[16:125]

While it is true that in many places where Muslim armies
went to liberate people or the land, they did carry the
sword as that was the weapon used at that time.

However, Islam did not spread by the sword because in
many places where there are Muslims now, for example,
in Indonesia (the country with the largest Muslims
population!), Malaysia, China, and many parts of Africa,
there are no records of any Muslim armies going there.

The following are some other examples to consider:
Most of India was ruled by successive Muslim empires
for about 700 years but Muslims always remained in
the minority.

Muslims ruled Spain (Al-Andalus) for about 800 years.
During this period the Christians and Jews enjoyed
freedom to practice their respective religions, and this
is a documented historical fact.

Christian and Jewish minorities have survived in the
Muslim lands of the Middle East for centuries.
Countries such as Egypt, Morocco, Palestine, Lebanon,
Syria, and Jordan all have significant Christian and
Jewish populations.

In the U.S.A. and Europe, it is said that Islam is the
fastest growing religion and this is without the use of a
sword.

The historian De Lacy O’Leary wrote: “History makes it
clear however, that the legend of fanatical Muslims
sweeping through the world and forcing Islam at the
point of the sword upon conquered races is one of the
most fantastically absurd myths that historians have
ever repeated.”

Music/Radio › ‘skelewu’ Saga: Davido Blast Critics, Planin On 3rd Video by Rilwayne001(op): 10:31pm On Oct 26, 2013
After dropping two music videos and one instructional
dance video, Davido’s “Skelewu” is still the talk of the
town. This is not because it’s one of Nigeria’s biggest
pop songs of the year but simply because of it’s
multiple videos.

*Davido

During the week, Davido tried to dispel the criticisms
trailing the video on his Twitter account. He wasn’t the
only person who has reacted to the criticisms. The
director of the final video, Moe Musa has also reacted.
Overwhelmed by critique on Twitter when the video
dropped last Monday, Musa tweeted, “ Love it or hate
it, it’s your issue not mine… All you haters out there are
full of s**t, lol. ”

Before now, reports said, Davido was not pleased with
what Moe Musa shot in the UK for his hit single and
planned to shoot another video with Clarence Peters”.
He was said to have already paid Clarence Peters the
sum of N7million to shoot a perfect video for him.

Islam › Misconception In Islam: Alcohol Is Forbidden In All Forms by Rilwayne001(op): 2:29pm On Oct 26, 2013
Background: Some think that in Islam and The Quran
the substance alcohol is forbidden completely in all
forms, no matter the application or form.

Intoxicants are to be avoided according to The Quran:
O you who believe, intoxicants, and gambling, and
sacraments, and games of chance are foul tools used by
the devil. You shall avoid him so that you may be
successful. [5:90]

For example, the substance alcohol does have useful
properties (e.g. it is used in medicine, food production)
and can be used for these purposes:
They ask you about intoxicants and gambling. Say: In
both of them there is a great harm and some profit/
benefits for men, but their harm is greater than their
profit/benefits... [2:219]

From the fruits of the palm trees and the grapes you
make wine as well as a good provision. In that is a sign
for a people who reason. [16:67]

Thus, the substance alcohol is not banned, but it is
intoxication that is to be avoided. Interestingly, the
above verse provides a powerful message to reflect on,
i.e. we can use something in a positive way or in a
negative way, which one will we choose?

Christianity Etc › Re: Pls Will All Muslim Go To Hell. by Rilwayne001: 11:19am On Oct 20, 2013
striktlymi: I will do this in two halves...first will be the ish with Enoch and then Elijah...

I believe the relevant verse from Sacred scriptures regarding Enoch is:

Genesis 5:22-30
King James Version (KJV)

24 And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

From the above we can see clearly that Enoch was taken by God after his sojourn here on Earth because he walked with God. In order words, he was faithful to God. This is exactly what happened to all those who walked with God before the coming of Jesus.

It is either one is faithful to God, irrespective of one's status in life, or one isn't. God claims or takes all those who do right by him while Satan claims or takes all those who die in God's displeasure. A good example of this would be the case of Moses:

Jude 1:9
King James Version (KJV)

9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

After the life of Moses here on Earth there was a battle of ownership between Satan and the Archangel Michael over who has the right of claim to Moses.

The point here really, is that when God claims or takes an individual, it only means that the person left this world in God's favour and as such does not deserve to be damned, or taken by Satan. Hence, the verse about Enoch only depicts God's ownership of Enoch and his 'destiny' to be in Heaven. This does not mean that Enoch was taken into God's abode.

The relevant verse here is:

2 Kings 2
King James Version (KJV)

11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

Now, we need to understand that the term "Heaven" is used to denote different things in Sacred scriptures. Hence when we read some verses therein, it is important to note the context in which it is used.

Heaven can mean the region of the clouds that pass along the sky:

Genesis 1:20
King James Version (KJV)

20 And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.

In other passages it denotes the region of the stars that shine in the sky:

Genesis 1:15
King James Version (KJV)

15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.

...and of course what we know as a place where God resides in:

Matthew 5:3
King James Version (KJV)

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Thus when Elijah was said to have gone up to heaven, the author is not telling us that he was admitted into God's abode but that he literally ascended up into the clouds. This is similar to what happened on the day of Christ's ascension into the abode of his Father:

Acts 1:6-12
King James Version (KJV)

9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel

As Jesus went up literally, his disciples continued staring up into heaven i.e they were still looking up at the sky, just like Elisha did when Elijah was taken up into the clouds.

Aren't there some verses of the
Qur'an that condone "killing the
infidel"?
By Huda, About.com Guide
Question: Aren't there some verses of the Qur'an that
condone "killing the infidel"?
Answer: The Qur'an commands Muslims to stick up for
themselves in a defensive battle -- i.e. if an enemy army
attacks, then Muslims are to fight against that army until
they stop their aggression. All of the verses that speak
about fighting/war in the Qur'an are in this context.
There are some specific verses that are very often
"snipped" out of context, either by critics of Islam
discussing "jihadism," or by misguided Muslims
themselves who wish to justify their aggressive tactics.
"Slay Them" - If They Attack You First
For example, one verse (in its snipped version) reads:
"slay them wherever you catch them" (Qur'an 2:191).
But who is this referring to? Who are "they" that this
verse discusses? The preceding and following verses
give the correct context:
"Fight in the cause of God those who fight you, but do
not transgress limits; for God loves not transgressors.
And slay them wherever you catch them, and turn them
out from where they have turned you out; for tumult
and oppression are worse than slaughter, But if they
cease, God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful, If they cease,
let there be no hostility except to those who practice
oppression" (2:190-193).
It is clear from the context that these verses are
discussing a defensive war, when a Muslim community
is attacked without reason, oppressed and prevented
from practicing their faith. In these circumstances,
permission is given to fight back -- but even then
Muslims are instructed not to transgress limits, and to
cease fighting as soon as the attacker gives up. Even in
these circumstances, Muslim are only to fight directly
against those who are attacking them, not innocent
bystanders or non-combatants.
"Fight the Pagans" - If They Break Treaties
A similar verse can be found in chapter 9, verse 5 --
which in its snipped, out of context version could read:
"fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and
seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in
every stratagem (of war)." Again, the preceding and
following verses give the context.
This verse was revealed during a historical period when
the small Muslim community had entered into treaties
with neighboring tribes (Jewish, Christian, and pagan).
Several of the pagan tribes had violated the terms of
their treaty, secretly aiding an enemy attack against the
Muslim community. The verse directly before this one
instructs the Muslims to continue to honor treaties with
anyone who has not since betrayed them, because
fulfilling agreements is considered a righteous action.
Then the verse continues, that those who have violated
the terms of the treaty have declared war, so fight
them, (as quoted above).
Directly after this permission to fight, the same verse
continues, "but if they repent, and establish regular
prayers and practice regular charity, then open the way
for them, for God is Oft-forgiving, Most Merciful." The
subsequent verses instruct the Muslims to grant asylum
to any member of the pagan tribe/army who asks for it,
and again reminds that "as long as these stand true to
you, stand ye true to them: for God loves the
righteous."
Conclusion
Any verse that is quoted out of context misses the
whole point of the message of the Qur'an. Nowhere in
the Qur'an can be found support for indiscriminate
slaughter, the killing of non-combatants, or murder of
innocent persons in 'payback' for another people's
alleged crimes.
The Islamic teachings on this subject can be summed up
in the following verses (Qur'an 60:7-8 ) :
"It may be that God will grant love (and friendship)
between you and those whom ye (now) hold as
enemies. For God has power (over all things), and God
is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
God does not forbid you, with regard to those who fight
you not for (your) faith nor drive you out of your
homes, from dealing kindly and justly with them: for
God loves those who are just."
Islam › 3 Question For Islamic Scholars by Rilwayne001(op): 3:29pm On Oct 17, 2013
There was a young man who went overseas to study
for quite a long time.
When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a
religious scholar
or any expert who could answer his 3 Questions.
Finally, his parents
were able to find a Muslim scholar.
Young man: Who are you? Can you answer my
questions?
Scholar: I am one of Allah (Subhan Wa Ta`ala )'s
slaves and Insha-Allah
(God willing), I will be able to answer your questions.
Young man: Are you sure? A lot of Professors and
experts were not able
to answer my questions.
Scholar: I will try my best, with the help of Allah
(Subhan Wa Ta`ala).
Young Man: I have 3 questions:
1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.
2. What is thaqdir (fate)?
3. If shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at
the end he will
be thrown to hell that is also created from fire. It
certainly will not
hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil) and the hell
were created from
fire. Did God not think of it this far?
Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man's face
very hard.
Young Man (feeling pain): Why do you get angry at
me?
Scholar: I am not angry. The slap is my answer to
your three questions.
Young Man: I really don't understand.
Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man: Of course, I felt the pain.
Scholar: So do you believe that pain exists?
Young Man: Yes.
Scholar: Show me the shape of the pain!
Young Man: I cannot.
Scholar: That is my first answer. All of us feel God's
existence
without being able to see His shape... Last night, did
you dream that
you will be slapped by me?
Young Man: No.
Scholar: Did you ever think that you will get a slap
from me, today?
Young Man: No.
Scholar: That is takdir (fate) my second answer........
My hand that I
used to slap you, what is it created from?
Young Man: It is created from flesh.
Scholar: How about your face, what is it created
from?
Young Man: Flesh.
Scholar: How do you feel after I slapped you?
Young Man: In pain.
Scholar: That?s it. this is my third answer, Even
though Shaitan Devil)
and also the hell were created from the fire, if Allah
wants,
insha-Allah (God willing), the hell will become a very
painful place for
Shaitan
