Millions of eligible American women? Lol.. Are you serious? I think you're one of those Nigerians that think American women are desperate for men.. Continue dreaming. Most women are wise now, they know you want to marry them and for something.... PAPERS. As for me, anyone who wants to hustle like that has my blessing, as per that's the only way of survival but I always advice caution and make sure you keep tabs on everything. You don't want to claim you were in Houston today and NY tomorrow only for such silly mistakes to bite you later in future.
You manufactured the word desperate cos I didn't use it.I am dissapointed that you and many other Nigerians have zeroed their minds that foreign women are articles to be used in getting papers.I don't know the kind of circle you move in but I have many family members and close friends who are having successful marriages with foreign women as against marrying the gold diggers we have at home as women. An uncle of mine married a black American in 1975 and they went back to Nigeria almost 10 years ago and are still living happily. Please change your mind about fraudulent marriages to foreigners cos of posterity. People are keeping records and asking why such incidents are common among Nigerians,Jamaicans and Filipinos. You can longer do genuine international business with a foreigner now cos of the shady things people before us did and if we continue with this mindset you have its gonna hurt our children in future. Change begins with you and me my brother

Bros, I am tempted to say keep quiet however you have a right to your opinion. Nevertheless, it's not easy to immigrate, and successfully engraft oneself into the system over here. Even Abraham, our father lied that his wife was his sister during his immigration process. My brother it is not easy and who among us immigrant living in America hasn't faulted the law to be a law abiding citizen. Is it from using another persons paper to work, or marrying for paper which some turn out good. This woman's case is quite unfortunate and probably a careless one as she could have waited a while longer before filing for her husband. Na all of us be thief na who dem catch be barawo. Thanks k God for your own..Selah
My brother i am sorry to tell you that you and many nigerians here complicate your lives by abusing the american immigration system in the form of paying women for papers. There are millions of eligible american women today looking for genuine friendship, love and marriage and somebody will leave them and go to the narrow path of fraud and you expect me to support that because he is a fellow nigerian?NO If i see an american lady that collects money without filling papers for such person,i will give her a warm hug.

I wrote this topic one year ago. The principles are real and if you follow them it would be beneficial. I have a friend who came to US less than 6 months ago but now he's doing so good and I know some people that have been here for years and cannot boast of anything.
I have one very important advice for you intending immigrants or if you are still trying to find your footings. The type of people that would be your first host, advisers or those you move with in the first 6 months is very important. The Pig and the Giraffe operates from different level because their perspectives are different. The pig can only see as much as its height permits and eats on its on its level but a Giraffe has the ability to see farther If he chooses. Therefore if the pig advises the Giraffe, he does so based on his stunted perspective but you as a Giraffe your potential is bigger.

The interpretation of my little story - There is a generation of immigrants before us that came during the US economic boom. There was so much money then regardless the job you did so many of them ended with menials jobs because it brings money faster and easier to get instead. They lived the so-called American dreams which is based on credit life. After the global recession, it created income seal on income and credit life got busted! They ended up broke!
So if you find yourself in an household where the head of the house is a Taxi driver definitely he is going to advise you to do same or something similar. Also if you end up being surrounded by people doing menial jobs because they do not have legal papers they will encourage you to do the same. Do not get me wrong, you can do menial jobs to survive at the beginning but have a vision beyond the job. Go to school and do professional examination, the beginning may be rough but it would benefit you in the long run.
1) Re-prepare your resume to fit their style in US. (A topic for another day)
2) Join as many online Job agents like career builders, Monsters etc
3)Improve your physical profile; looks, pronunciation, vocabulary, confidence, eloquence and knowledge. - These will help when you start getting interviews.
4)If you guys are newly married, hold on child bearing to when you can both get on your feet. Dual income is very important and can decide your success or failure. If you have kids already its also well, manage your situation.
... to be continued
Great one bro

It's different. In fact it's better. It's an Over the Counter drug. You don't need doctor's prescription to buy it. One tab per day , thirty minutes before meal in the morning. Follow through everyday. You won't feel the reflux anymore after two days. But you have to continue taking it. That's what I was using when I had acid reflux too. I don't have it anymore.
OK bro .thanks a lot

No you are wrong my friend. The job progressions started under Obama in 2009 after George W bastardized America's economy with the two useless wars that almost bankrupt the country. Unemployment was 10% when Bush left office and Obama brought it down to less than 5% by the time he left in January. There have been 84 months of consecutive job gains of hundreds of thousands every month since Obama took office. I am into Financial Fields and I remember the Fall of 2008 when America was losing 700.000 jobs a month during Bush time and the big blue chips companies like Enron, Citicorp were going belly up and Obama came in and stop the bleeding. All Trump is doing is talking about bringing jobs back to America. Tell me one company Trump brought to America ?. Don't forget Dow Jones was 6.000 when Bush left and Obama brought it up to almost 19.000 before he left the Presidency. Where did you get your information that Blacks are turning to the Racist Trump. Overwhelming majority of Blacks are still against him because he's a racist. Do you know anything about CENTRAL PARK 5 ?. Trump is an overt bigot and he's not getting any support from African Americans. His budget proposal is being attacked by both parties because it devoids of logic. His budget proposal won't even take effect till October and why are you giving him credit for the economy that has been gaining hundreds of thousands of jobs for the last 84 months. Obama brought the economy back from depression George W left us with and the credit is Obama not the Racist Trump.
If Al Gore had won that election america would have witnessed one the country's the biggest prosperity in history.I dont need a soothsayer to know that the only thing Trump wants is to destroy an economy Obama laboured eight years to build, after which the misogynists, racists ,illiterate and white voters will rush to the polls to vote democrats in 2020.So many dumbos walking around in america cos i wonder how a sane person would wake up,go to the polling unit and cast his vote for raving mad person to rule over him

What a pity, what a pity, what a pity! A site like Nairaland that should serve as a source of strength for Nigerians has been hijacked by bigots/traitors (god alone knows who these people truly are) and turned into a source of defeat to Nigerians. We can no longer use this forum to defend our people when they're persecuted abroad or at home, rightly or wrongly, we can only watch helplessly as the site simply abets all forms of derogatory remarks against us.

When Nigerians are killed, raped or even when we commit crimes abroad, instead of this site to act as a form of advocacy for those Nigerians, this site acts as judge against those Nigerians in favour of the foreigners . The site may as well be Stormfront or Breitbart for all the use and good it does us as Nigerians!

I truly wonder if a Nigerian still owns Niraland. Someone once mentioned that Niraland may have been sold, maybe this is true. If not, what accounts for the bizarre and unpatriotic negligence of a majority of the site’s Moderators?
There are a lot of kids on the forum now, typing a lot of trash and not contributing anything meaningful or educative

Properties › Re: Reasons To Survey Your Land Don't Be Deceived. by rinzaugustine: 7:21am On Mar 22, 2017
ShoProperties:
Although a land survey may seem tedious and unnecessary, in fact there are many cases in which you should have your land surveyed, to save confusion or legal troubles later. A land surveyor will research available documents concerning your land, including titles and previous surveys. He/she will also physically measure the property, checking these dimensions against the previous records to find any discrepancies. Here are some important reasons to consider surveying a piece of land.

Before Buying A Piece Of Land

You should always consider a new land survey if you are buying a piece of real estate. Even though many mortgage companies or title insurance companies do not require one, it is still smart to have a survey done. You should be aware of any boundary discrepancies that could affect the value of your property before purchasing it. Any disputes about the boundaries of the property should be settled before you agree to purchase it, or you can be in for a legal headache later.

Before Selling A Piece Of Land

You may also want to consider having a land survey done if you are planning to sell your property. This is especially important in areas where road access is questionable. Determining the status of roads on your land can help your realtor determine how marketable the property is. Shoreline footage and acreage are two more selling points that can be measured by a land survey. Some buyers might put in an offer that is contingent on a survey; if you have the survey done ahead of time, you can save time and increase the chances of selling your property quickly.

Before Building On Or Improving Your Land

Before building a shed, fence, or other structure on your land (especially near property boudaries), consider having a land surveyor mark the exact edges of your property. That way, you can be assured that you are not building on your neighbor’s land, and you can assure yourself that you are not fencing out any land that is actually yours. This is especially important when building a house or other large, permanent structure. There are many things to keep in mind when situating such a building, including easements, setbacks, and other requirements that will be marked on your new land survey. Do not let your contractor or builder determine where to place this structure, as they will probably not be any more aware of your boundaries than you are.

If Your Neighbor Is Building Near The Property Line, Or If There Is A Dispute As To Boundary

If your neighbor is building such a structure and you believe it to be on your property, have a land survey completed. This is the first step towards resolving any encroachment issues and ensuring that your land remains yours to use. Likewise, if you and your neighbor are in dispute in any way about the correct boundaries of the land, a survey will usually resolve such questions.

If The Most Recent Survey Is Old

Using an outdated survey to determine boundaries puts you at a disadvantage. Newer measuring techniques, including GPS, mean that newer surveys will be the most accurate. Some areas, especially rural land, have not been surveyed since the nineteenth century, meaning that in many cases neighbors may be unknowingly encroaching on each other’s land...
