ProfJYK: The brighter side is very important. Before person head start to touch.
On the immigration checks, I believe a lot is done in the background. Returning from Naija on my last trip, there was nothing in my 6 bags that hadn't been opened. Everything had a pin prick leak.
They scan... watch on CCTV... profile randomly and selectively while trying not to hold up the lines at the points of entry. Oh yeah, this may just be the perfect explanation. Because, I used to take UK police and intelligence for granted till I watched some movies and documentaries which led me into some kind of research. Men, the country no dey play o..... they are not noisy like USA, but they will sniff you out silently. |

Solumtoya: You don't risk so much, which is why I said put £1 or more and don't wait till you "haff balance" so the 1 year starts counting. Secondly, even if you change your mind and want your money back, the 25% penalty is almost the same 25% the Government gave you, remember? Of course it's more (Mathematics). Actually on the contrary, you pay a penalty of 25% on the total amount in your ISA. So say you deposited 4k, government gives you 25% of £4k which is £1000, and you get to have £5K. If you decide to withdraw 4k for any other reason save clocking 60+ years, buying a house or a terminal illness, then you will pay a 25% penalty on the total of your contribution £4K + 25% of 4K from government which = £1K , this means you end up paying £1,250 as penalty. |

Solumtoya: You're very right. Buying a car is one of the most subjective and emotional decisions someone (especially a Nigerian) can make. There's no right answer especially in a Country like this. In Nigeria, it's easier, we all know that our Technicians have learnt to repair Toyotas so most people just play it safe and go for them. Here, the spectrum is wider! Ford Focus is a smart ride to start with too. Especially if you can drive a manual transmission. |

Away from problems and worries......can we catch the brighter side of life in this UK once again?? Biko someone should share a vacation story or a recent achievement here. Meanwhile....I enjoy watching border patrol whenever NHS donates some part of my 5 year hustle to me .... those Australian and New Zealand border guys no dey play o. USA is hard on food scrutiny. UK appears to be quite lax on immigration checks.. I was shocked no one talked to me from Gate 5. I felt funny. Has anyone toured the whole shengen countries here? I dey reason am |

Treadway: again, it always busts my brain how you can share these facts which are logical, sound, and the reality and no one will challenge your view because you are in the UK, but God help anyone who is in Nigeria who types this. These same people here will say na bad belle wey no know wetin e dey talk. Lol.
OP you are 'expecting' too much. That is the problem. You should run your race, don't bank on people, Nigerians or others. Plan yourself well enough that you don't need to bank on anyone. The matter tie wrapper!!! In this life, just assume you are alone o, best way to avoid bitterness!!! |

I tried to neglect the OP...but the complaint is giving me headache. Let's breakdown earnings in the UK. I believe the guy doesn't live in London. Let's say his average salary is 1500 as take-home. Rent 500 at least Car insurance 150 monthly at least Tax about 60 monthly Fuel 200 monthly Servicing + miscellaneous + tickets 100-200 Baba how much remain It is easy to tear other people apart. Go and ask your white colleagues to loan you £100 and tell us your experience. Don't expect anything free here ad no one owes you a dime.. UK will tax you for oxygen the day it eventually becomes possible. Grow up mate!!!! |

Reference: As a 9.... not a 9 and a half or 10. We want strikers to move to create angles for easy passes to them but when the movement becomes excessive then it becomes more difficult to craft chances particularly quick blind passes strikers like around the box. Very valid point... the movement is excessive. |

Firmino is far better than he and Richarlison! Tite messed up dropping the Liverpool man. The guy should go and become an attacking midfielder or Support striker. We are missing a lot. |

IFSHR: ESR is Am ... Check my comment....I said we need a striker...and don't forget we still have balogun on loan...so Arsenal will want to be careful, until they decide they want to just give up on the prospect of balogun, nketiah just signed a new contract as well...so Arsenal may not consider a striker in the next two windows Chai....G. Jesus is not a natural goal scorer o. It is well. |
