You want me to answer this question so that village people will call to tell me grandma has swallowed shovel again?
Anyways with used car prices high right now you'd need a bit more than usual. Widen your search on auto trader. You might need to travel 5hours for the car you need.
Haha....village people no fit. I get their medicine. Anyway...thanks a lot. I would search more, else I go for financing.

Just google secondhand car dealers in your area, or use Gumtree and set a filter to "trade" which should exclude cars not sold by dealers in your area. Or eBay. However, with your budget, you're less likely to find cars from dealers ready to honor anything at that price point, most likely east European garages, and if you go down that route, you are no different from someone who bought from a private seller.
Thanks for your response. I go check well, make the car no carry me go where I no know.

At some point in the 80s and 90s virtually every Nigerian family that could afford a car had a 504 or a 505, depending, so that's not saying much. wink
As an aside, I once owned a 508, which I think is quite a lovely car, but note that Peugeot doesn't have a stellar reputation in this country (it was successfully demarketed after the 407, 607, and some other not good cars), so the resale value of Peugeots is quite low. On the other hand, purchasing an equivalent Peugeot car is usually somewhat lower than same year/class cars of other brands and Peugeots sometimes have as standard features that more expensive cars have as options.
You brought back memories bro. Thank you jari.

I would make a decision soon.

Also try buying from a dealer. With private sale, once you drive away that's it. You'd have very little recourse if anything pops up unless the seller grossly misrepresented things
Baba any links??

How much did you budget and eventually buy?

Peter Obi is not the same as Tinubu.

Tinubu was an honor student Obi was a dullard.

Tinubu ran Lagos without mthly allocation, Obi got allocation and still mismanaged it.

Tinubu didn't watch 18 month strike or so, Obi did.

Tinubu didn't kill people and dumped them in a river, Obi did.

Tiny didn't move N250 million every mth, Obi did.

There are more of Obi's crimes that will come out.

If Obi ran Lagos he would have sold the city, thank God he won't be able to sell Nigeria since he won't be president.
You are just bitter and blind..

I have benefited alot from Igbo and I'm still benefiting from them but I dare anyone to quote me wrong on my post. It's a message and not hate speech.
You can make your points without using derogatory statements bro. All these smearing we place on ourselves don't matter when our leaders are in their banquet halls. You would never understand the power of unity until you have to live long abroad. Every black Nigerian becomes your brother. Nairaland unfortunately has created more hate than love . We will not realise what we are doing. Sometimes my heart breaks when i step in here and it's one tribal war upon another. Really ...... if nairaland was a public physical space, would half of these outbursts see the light of day?

Let us quit tribal rancour and bickering and hateful speech. If Nigeria must work, then we must se beyond what divides us, and focus on our unique strengths.

God bless you

All those Alaba Mkpis should go to the south east and register for their PVCs and leave Lagos alone.
They can't hail the killings of INEC officials and destruction of PVC in the SE and want to register here in Lagos. No way.

Go back to SE for your PVC.
I hope one day, you would not need the help of someone who is igbo. Life is not 1+1 brother. It is not. May our posts not haunt us someday.

OP...
I've put myself in your shoes and I will send him a voice note on WhatsApp, and the voice note will look something like this....

"You and I used to be very close way back, but it hasn't been that way for a very long time, and I kinda miss that. I don't know the reason for the distance, maybe you need space or you're mad at me about something or you're dealing with something, but whatever the case maybe, I'll be here if you wanna talk about it....

Emmmmmm....
Lemme say a big congratulations. Your wife to be told me that you guys would be getting married soon, I'm happy for you guys, really I'm happy that my gee is getting married, though I'm a bit hurt that I got to hear it from her first instead of you, either ways she invited me to the wedding and honestly, I'm skeptical about coming. Not because I can't make out time or because I don't want to honor the invitation, it's just that, the distance between us and you ignoring me gives me the impression, that you don't want me there...

I'll be expecting your response to this voice note, congratulations once again"

His response to this will decide whether or not I'll go for the wedding....
Wow!!!!!! Are you male or female? Are you married? Whatever state, God will bless you. Wow....such wisdom. You are a blessing!!!!!

Or you carried stereotypes into Youukay?
Don't mind the human being. What has Igbo got to do here's? You use an experience with 1 person to classify a people group. Very shameful

Why not look for your school's group on telegram

Talk to someone who's already on ground and have them inspect apartments for you

If possible, they can pay the deposit for you and then you'll refund them when you land

Helped some people this way and one even brought dried fish for me as appreciation
grin
Thank you for the suggestion but I'm not a student. Thank you all the same

The train is very slow. It stops everywhere on it way to Cromer. You're better off using the bus then driving. In fact, if you can drive straight away. I'd advise you to do that. You'll be driving against traffic as well as most people will be heading into Norwich for work.

Norwich train station is also near the most expensive parts of the city (Golden Triangle). Whereas if you're driving, you'll just take the ring road and head out.
Chai....Now you are getting me scared o. I hate traffic o. Good Lord. Please I'm sending you a private chat immediately. Hope you don't mind?

North Walsham in Norfolk? Are you there for work? You may need to look in Alysham and Norwich instead and travel to work in N. Walsham. It's a very small town and has a lot more older people than families which means people hardly move out. Not impossible, just a much more longer wait for a place.
Yeah I'm coming to work at the Hospital there. I'm a physiotherapist. It's been crazy searching i must say. I may look the Norwich way. 47 mins by train though.
