chamotex:It is already ruined!! Most ninjas spent their full 100M, i saved 1M in the bank so i could easily upgrade(i.e Carroll to Torres, Taarabt to Nzogs etc) in GW2 without taking a points hit. As a result i had Gabbidon in my team(4M) instead of Hughes(5M), Gabbidon scored -2 points while Hughes scored 6(costing me 8 points total). Now that counts for shyte. My case is even good, some ninjas like Vieira couldn't log in and ended up with three Everton players + some other injured players, what do you say to them? Abeg make we vote!!!!!!!! mukina2:It works both ways missy! If you and Chamo had bad scores you'd also be clamoring for a restart! ![]() In fact, the only reason anyone wouldn't want a restart is because they managed to score well and want to cheat their way to ![]() |
On a more serious note, it's kind of effed up that i planned ahead, even saved 1M in the bank, at the expense of the first gameweek, then it counts for diddlysquat? I guess it's also effed up if you had a good score only for it to count for fuckall. Hmmmm, Dilemma! |
Hehehe, Eldee you have my full backing, GW1 doesn't count! ![]() |
eldee:You dey crayse!! Anyway, I think we should take their offer and start scoring the leagues from Gameweek 2.Chamo and Muki no go gree! ![]() |
Good news for those who couldn't finish their teams, nightmare for us geniuses that planned beyond the first gameweek! ![]() |
Was thinking of withholding this info but being the uber nice guy that i am , i've decided to share: Fantasy Premier League - An Apology A statement has been issued regarding the Fantasy Premier League game. As some of you are aware, many fans trying to access Fantasy Premier League on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning will have experienced problems logging in or registering teams prior to the Gameweek 1 deadline. While the demand reached unprecedented levels on Saturday morning, we fell short of the standards you expect from the world's biggest fantasy football game and make no excuses for what was both a frustrating and disappointing experience ahead of the new season. For this we apologise unreservedly. technical issue Our technical teams have been working throughout the weekend to ensure the technical issue that led to the problems experienced by users are dealt with. Work also continues to improve the quality of your experience with additional steps taken in the game itself that enable you to: 1. Receive unlimited transfers No points will be deducted for any transfers you make up to the Gameweek 2 deadline (11:30 BST on Saturday 20th August 2011). If you have already made transfers and had points deducted, these will be restored to your overall total by midnight on Tuesday 16th August 2011. If you have already opted to play your wildcard, this too will be restored at the same time. 2. Opt to start mini-league scoring at Gameweek 2 The option is available to all mini-league administrators to start the scoring from Gameweek 2. Go to 'Leagues' > 'League name' > 'Administer' > Select 'Gameweek 2' in 'Scoring Starts' drop-down menu and click 'Update league details'. 3. Win a VIP trip to watch Man Utd v Chelsea The manager of the team that accumulates the most points in Gameweeks 2, 3 & 4 will win a VIP trip for two to watch Man Utd v Chelsea on Sunday 18th September 2011 . The prize includes all transport, two nights' accommodation, match tickets, pre-match hospitality and £250 spending money. If there is a tie between teams, the team with the fewest transfers between Gameweeks 2-4 will win the trip. In the event of a further tie, the winner will be selected at random. 4. Win a new monthly prize - iPad2 Each monthly winner of Fantasy Premier League 2011/12 will be able to choose between receiving an iPad2 or the current monthly prize (replica shirt, iPod nano & digital camera). The runner-up will then receive whichever prize is not claimed by the monthly winner. isolated case Having monitored many of the comments that have been posted on message boards, via blogs, in forums and on social networks, we hope the following additional points will also help clarify some of the queries raised: ∙ Fantasy Premier League is still run by the same provider. A redesign was required in order to incorporate new features and in order to maintain consistency with the next version of the Premier League's official site but the problems are not related to the new look. ∙ EA SPORTS sponsor the official match statistics across the Premier League website and were not involved in the rebuild of this season's Fantasy Premier League game nor responsible in any way for the issues suffered by users over the weekend. ∙ The login/registration system had to be upgraded during the summer - this service is delivered by a new third party provider and is the most significant change from previous seasons. ∙ The live updates will be functioning for Gameweek 2. ∙ All league standings will be updated after each points update as per previous seasons. The single update for Gameweek 1 was an isolated case. ∙ If you have problems logging in, please try resetting your password by entering your email address on this page: https://users.premierleague.com/PremierUser/login/reset_password.html. Valdes Alves Pique Puyol Abidal Busquets Xavi Iniesta Messi Pedro Villa How do you actually fit Cesc/Sanchez into this team? The rest of Europe is in trouble. . . As in, knee deep in shyte! |
debosky:I just hope Wenger isn't so foolish he doesn't realize when the patience of the fans has been exhausted, not to mention some of the players. Morale is at an all time low! |
I hope Wenger realizes if he doesn't bring any reputable "replacement" in, blood will spill? Oh wait, 29M can't even get you any really good player in today's market! Unless you are Barcelona and the target is Cesc Fabregas! Then again there are still like a million people on the waiting list for season tickets so it's all good! ![]() |
I don't buy all that "he was unsettled, he had to leave, negative influence, we got him for free" BS. OK we got him free but we payed the price(and are still paying) for fielding him and other teenagers earlier than other clubs would. Cesc Fabregas is a professional footballer under contract. If Barca don't offer his market value, tell them to GTFO. Worst case scenario Cesc whines, plays poorly(or for the reserves!), and then what? NOTHING! Either he'll get over it eventually or Barca offer his value, simple. Andy Carroll - 35M POUNDS UP FRONT Fernando Torres - 50M POUNDS UP FRONT Cesc Fabregas - 29M EUROS UP FRONT ![]() Wenger/the board have just made an absolute mockery of Arsenal Football Club. I need a sniper rifle! ![]() |
29m EUROS for Cesc? Wenger and the board should be battered, mutilated, eviscerated, disemboweled, murked etc etc etc |
Malouda FAIL This must be the worst week ever |
Lampard has just broken the record for the fattest player to dive in the history of football! ![]() |
nateevs:That or both teams really stink ![]() |
Not at home. . . Contemplating whether watching Chelsea play Stoke online is worth the bandwidth ![]() |
Krayola:Sensationalism, oversimplification, bandwagonism and generalization at their reetarded best. . . You deserve a cookie ![]() |
coogar:Classic ![]() |
They've just conceded another. . . OG: -2, 4 goals conceded: -2, grand total: -2! CHEI! |
mykali:To think i put the foooool in this morning! |
^^ Wes Hoolahan, he just scored, fluke! ![]() |
duduspace:You made 3 transfers for Gameweek 2. . . That's -8 points! ![]() You look set to reprise your role as the whipping boy in H2H already ![]() mukina2:Don't worry, i'll go easy on you, just say the word ![]() |
Vieira has THREE Everton players! ![]() |
mukina2:I see you stole my Baines idea ![]() Rest of your team is shyte though! ![]() |
Bwuahahahaha! I can't but laugh at the competition. . . Some ninjas even have Jones(Wigan) starting in their team ![]() |
Hehehe, my saboteurs have done me proud! ![]() The game is now updating. . . Can't wait to see the wack a$$ teams i'm going to be murking! |
Ibime:Arteta is crocked till further notice. A matter of hours now. . . Prepare to weep! ![]() |
Kolo and Ade will bounce back. . . Clichy is off to a great start already! ![]() |
Ibime:But if i remember correctly you NEVER had Baines in your team last year, meaning you are soooooooooo 1906? ![]() Baines is on spot-kicks, free-kicks, corners, throw-ins, goal-kicks sef! People see him as an expensive defender, i see him as a cheap midfielder with clean-sheet potential! Everton usually start poorly but at least they have decent fixtures to begin with this year. In fact I'm still flirting with the idea of keeping Baines on the bench in GW1 and watch his value potentially skyrocket from GW2. Feel free to copy! ![]() |
There goes Baines. . . Have to reshuffle the whole friggin team again! ![]() |
Wenger must be mad if he's actually considering a 35m offer for Cesc. How do you justify that after buying Chamberlain for 12-15m? |
Are they postponing any games this weekend? It won't be funny. . . Well, actually it will ![]() |
^^ That won't work anymore. . . Try something like "Beaking News: Man Utd to go into administration as a result of unsustainable spending" ![]() |
