A Nigerian man identified as Gbenga has been called out on Facebook for reportedly sending his wife packing from their home all because she called him an animal in public. Sharing a video in which the Nigerian man at the center of the incident was spotted passing threats, Honourable Bella Odaih recounted how she met him in 2001 when he claimed he had problems with his ex-wife and they divorced. The lady who advised other women not to live their lives for men, disclosed that she fed, covered, built a house and even paid part of the bills for the man’s daughter’s wedding, only to be sent packing. This is a SUPPOSED lawyer, but I love it at this until later. He’s my husband but I am d man, d bread winner, those close knows d truth. Paying school fees and scary to me, he pushed me out jz when he realized I had nothing. Long ago I had wanted to leave, quit and become a single mum but family and friends won’t allow such quoting barbarics, but here I am. Pls always follow ur self and ur heart, no one is with u in ur life and ur life struggle, no one can ever speak ur right and truth except u, especially when ure married to a liar and a spoiler as my husband. ‘If any one can go to heaven, talk to God, and take a selfie – I will resign.’ President of the Philippines Rodrigo Duterte has offered to resign if anyone can take a selfie with God to prove he exists. His comments came just days after he called God “stupid”. The latest outburst shows Duterte, aged 73, increasingly at odds with the Church in which he was raised and to which most Filipinos belong. In the last few days, Duterte has also said he does not like the “creeping influence” of the Catholic Church. In addition, his presidential spokesman has accused the Church of working with Communist rebels to overthrow the government in the Philippines. The spokesman said the Church “sometimes runs counter to what the government believes to be good for the people, at least in this temporal life”. In his latest speech on Saturday at the inauguration of the Malayan colleges in Mindanao, Duterte invited everyone “to become agents of hope and catalysts of progress”. He urged all sectors of our society to keep supporting his administration’s development agenda, especially in pursuits that would educate our young and empower more Filipinos, and his government’s ongoing campaign against illegal drugs and criminality. “This will be helpful in ridding ourselves of the social ills that have shackled our growth and hindered our country from achieving its full potential.” After describing his own progress through the education system and then his career in law and politics, he said he believed in God, but did not believe in a God who intervenes in the world. Afrobeat singer, Femi Kuti, son of the legendary Afrobeat creator, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, who welcomed President Emmanuel Macron of France to their iconic Afrika Shrine on Tuesday amid pomp and pageantry has revealed his connection to the French while admitting it was a total shock that the French President would choose his place to visit in Nigeria as part of activities to mark the launch of the 2020 Season of African Cultures in France. “Even before President Macron, President Jacques Chiraq loved my father. The French have been so supportive of my father, of me and the shrine. They used to come to the shrine in those days. At the beginning of my career, they made it a priority; everything was happening for me in France. France was the first country to accept my talent. I’m still in France, I’m quite popular there, and I’m like their own. My love for the French and their love for me is public knowledge,” he said. Taking selfies, street preaching and hawking food will cost you more under new taxes proposed by different counties in Kenya. In Siaya County, street preachers will pay KSh20,000 ($198) upfront per day to use lawns maintained by the county government if the Finance Bill 2018 is approved, reports Ugbliz . For a region popular for its local musicians fond of performing with live bands, an entertainment permit of KSh1,000 per night will be required. A mother of two shot a man in the head on the evening of Fourth of July when he tried to steal her SUV with her two children inside, Dallas police confirmed. Michelle Booker-Hicks of Duncanville was at a local gas station when an employee alerted her that a man, later identified as 36-year-old Ricky Wright, was starting to drive away with her car that had her 2-year-old and 4-year-old sons in the back seat. Desperate to save her kids, Michelle got into her car, grabbed a gun from the glove box and shot Wright in the face after he refused to stop. Authorities said Michelle's car crashed into a telephone pole and Wright was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries. He is in serious but stable condition, according to police who also said an investigation is ongoing. Fortunately, the children were not hurt in the incident. Narrating, Michelle said: I proceeded to jump in my backseat and told the gentleman to stop, to get out the car. He would not get out of the car. He turned around and looked at me. I reached over the armrest to get my glove compartment and that’s when I fired at him once I got the gun from my glove compartment. She also revealed that she had just recently obtained the gun in order to defend herself, though she does not have a license to carry.
