Hello, I think you shld ease up on dedicated or cloud service now. Build your site, get a regular hosting. Ehen your traffic grows, you can move it.

Most of the gateway systems are good... but you will be limied by the amount of money you are willing to pay for them, such as gtPay, zenith and so forth. there are also free ones, but their pay out system, and interest rates might not be what you want. You know they also want to make their money even if their gateways are free.

Let no one disturb you too much... These days there isn't any difference btw the two. At least, I have always done both. Although, I understand why everyone wants to differentiate between the two. I think a developers needs to know how to "at least" modified or tweak with a designers work...
It might not be vice versa with a designer.

It saves more when you have a developer with the skills to design, and the same time to start and finish a job.

I believe there is a down-side to using wordpress(WooCommerce)... It isn't as secure as many think. And their upgrades come up too often.
It is better to develop from scratch... You will have more control over it that way.
