Tinubu reminds me of Abimelech and Jotham..... I'll advise this fool to watch his mouth. The prophecies were just too many that he couldn't do the normal rigging alone but the most brazen and shameful act ever witnessed in Nigeria. I pity one set of people----JUDGES and LAWYERS. Watch out what will befall many of them if they collude with the thief and his gangs
Shatap.

Those charlatans have caged your thinking.

You are clearly not well exposed to the workings of government?
Do you understand income and expenditure at all?

How much is going to spent on travel - flying dignitaries in and then ferrying them around?
How much is the food for that occasion going to cost?
What about the security arrangements?
Even more, what about the cost of inconvenient to those who see a flyover for it is - another inanimate structure!

@Nigerians - we've got stop over-celebrating our underachievement.
What's with all the frigging fanfare angry
.

You have a point but I'm not in total agreement.

But for the fanfare, half the time, you wouldn't know the achievemt of a governor and perhaps be swayed by the publication from those whose aim is to vilify him/her.

Some achievements deserve some ceremony to commemorate the date.

I am not sure they did not truly win as you stated. That should be left to the courts to decide.

One of their arguments is that Tinubu did not win. They presented their claims as to that. If the courts can agree with them, then it is a win for them.

The courts can ask INEC to conduct a rerun of the elections or award to one of plaintiffs.
So everytime a legitimate election and winner is declared, any usurper can claim it was rigged, go to to court then the whole world would be waiting for the verdict?

Apart from the first republic when we had the same Zik as a parliamentary president and Aguiyi’s small stint as HOS, no igbo has led this country. That is the undeniable fact.

You mention CBN governorship positions, ministerial positions and legislative positions and assume that should be enough for a whole region in 5 decades?

For a region that suffered mass destruction during the war, a national redevelopment fund should have been established for the ravaged areas since 1970.

The ports, roads, industrial hubs and potential technological advancements in the east have not been developed as much as they should.

The Igbos were initially the clerical and administrative hub of old Nigeria and were the bulk of intellectuals in the railways, ferries, government agencies and ministries. The civil war led to the death of many of this cadre and Nigeria slowly entered into a period of intellectual rot. The quota system did not help matters.

Igbos survived through trading, not by choice but as as a second option. If the civil war has not started and the embarrassing quota system was not introduced , the corps of intellectuals lost could have pushed us towards development and made us the real giant of Africa.

If you feel the Igbos are not marginalized, have you tried to consider what your response would have been if a Yoruba or Hausa/Fulani has never ruled this country since inception?
So we must vote you?

But all cannot at the same time.

It is democracy and you must make overtures before you are considered.

Hate is wrong on all fronts and i would not support hate. Hate is dangerous and leads to unnecessary violence.

I did not infer hate in my post and i am not sure how you arrive at such a conclusion.

The Igbos have been marginalized. They deserve the chance to have an Igbo rule this country.

We also need it as a nation.

We need to stop seeing tribes and start seeing ourselves as one nation.

If Tinubu doesn’t assimilate Igbos into his cabinet, he has failed irrespective of what other positives he achieves.
Marginalised how?

Don't they receive their allocations?

Ekweremadu held what position in our senate?

What of Ayim?

What is the highest position an Efik or Ibibio has ever held?

I am not Igbo.

I however believe that the Igbos have been marginalized too much in this country.

This should have been a chance by Tinubu to mend bridges.

I believe it could have been an oversight.

I am hoping that he learns from this and adjusts his future appointments to include a lot of the regions where he has no current support.

Finally, i hope either Peter Obi or Atiku wins the court cases.
Marginalised how?

You mean people can simply hate anyone who isn't from.their tribe and those they hate should apologise to them?
