The DSS supports the President and Commander-in-Chief in his avowed commitment to a hitch-free handover and will assiduously work in this direction. It also supports the Presidential Transition Council and such other related bodies in the States. It will collaborate with them and sister security and law enforcement agencies to ensure seamless inaugurations come 29th May, 2023.

Consequently, the Service strongly warns those organising to thwart democracy in the country to retract from their devious schemes and orchestrations. Stakeholders, notably judicial authorities, media and the Civil Society, are enjoined to be watchful and cautious to avoid being used as instruments to subvert peace and stability of the nation.

While its monitoring continues, the DSS will not hesitate to take decisive and necessary legal steps against these misguided elements to frustrate their obnoxious intentions.

Seun is not seeing them now that NL is being used by these unpatriotic elements to subvert our democracy and he is not doing anything about it yet until others start speaking the language these elements like OP understand.
You actually think he's neutral?

From last night till this morning a Peter Obi thread was the leading thread headlining the front page.

It was there for over 12 hours.

Bet me, they'll do the same again tonight.

Your Asiwaju came distant third in the presidential election. The whole world knows it. As deluded fellow you won't speak the truth. INEC package a results from other planets and declared him winner. Let him come and celebrate it. Let me tell you , your Asiwaju should come and learn modern politics from Obi. He is still doing crude politics of touts and thugs . The truth is that your Asiwaju is overrated. He can't win in free and fair election that's he always resorts to thugs. Imagine a presidential candidate of a ruling party losing woefully in his home state to a less popular party. OBI is the hero of this election. Without shi shi he was able to dismantle stronghold of the enemies.
Yes Obi won Sokoto and Zamfara.

Tinubu was also criticized as governor... He is still being criticized by many after.

Is there a governor or leader devoid of criticisms?!!

Did Obi improve Anambra state or not?!! That's the question!

It's okay to praise Tinubu's leadership strides, but you don't have to diminish those of another in the process.

Understand my neutrality here... Both are great leaders, and will definitely do well as president (I hope!).

But using Lagos achievements as a benchmark to judge is wrong... Truth be told, Tinubu didn't perform better than state governors like Donald Duke, Musa Yar'adua, and Musa Kwankwaso.

I lived in Lagos too, and the best governor Lagos has had since 1999 till date is Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola! Hands down!
Criticism for failing as a governor.

Lagos civil servants blossomed under Tinubu.

Not only was there employment, it was with better condition of service.

Obi was no better than OUK as an administrator.

Obi failed woefully.

This is not even in dispute.

Did you also live in Anambra prior to when Obi became governor?!!

Were Lagos and Anambra on the same level at any point in the history of Nigeria?!! Were they even formed and named the same day?!!

Did both governors ever have equal materials and opportunities at any point?!!

Can you place Nigeria and China side by side in comparison of leadership at any point?!!

Did Peter Obi ever lead in Tinubu's capacity and fail?! Did Tinubu lead in Obi's capacity and did better?!!

Let's start from these simple basics... Seems you don't understand the fundamentals of leadership.
I worked everywhere from Cross River state to Abagana in Anambra when Obi was governor.
He failed miserably.

We cannot pretend we don't see the way anambrians criticised his governance when he was governor then suddenly, he's being promoted as the best.

Haba.

Anambra state claims to have several billionaires yet the place isn't comparable with Accra.

Start by comparing Lagos position in Nigeria in terms of revenue and seaports long before Tinubu dreamt of becoming governor!

Let's even pretend that the same Lagos is not a former capital city and still the commercial capital of Nigeria... Let's even forget that Lagos wasn't already renown in Africa since the 80s.

Let's reason like pedestrians and believe that Lagos and Anambra should be compared on the same basis.
I lived in Lagos before Tinubu and remember vividly how refuse heaps were on every roadside during the Abacha years.

I recall, how poor Lagos stats civil servants were.

I recall no BRT buses nor BRT lanes.

I recall, no RRS nor Lekki Free Trade Zone.

I'm talking about things that impact the populace not rhetoric.

fouthly, you cannot compare lagos igp with any state in west africa going by your argument. Fiftly, he is too cocky and will not give room for true democratic dividends
Was that always the IGR?

This is what we are talking about.

Someone would create policies that help create wealth but many of you would think it fell from the skies.

When you are in Ikorodu Road, you no longer see refuse heaped by the roadside but you think it was angels that packed them.

You go to Tejuosho Market and find a different environment yet you think it was fairies that put them there.

first of all tinubu now is not mentally and physically healthy compared to before. Secondly he was apc party leader, the same party that is tormenting the masses that ran to it for salvation from so called pdp oppression. Thirdly, he does not have genuine intention for the country since he will stop at nothing (including shedding of blood) to ensure he emerges the president- same thing buhari was doing before his emergence as president.
And Obi was with PDP that tormented them previously.

Are you Tinubu's doctor to talk about his health.

Do you guys even learn from recent experience?

No be so una talk say Buhari go die and he still dey gidigba?

Why is it that no comment was ever made about Tinubu's health until campaign season began?

It's you that is not sincere here. Don't you know that Obi would have performed better than Tinubu if he was the governor of Lagos State. You guys should be sincere for once now aba
If my aunty had a mustache, she'll be my uncle.

But she isn't.

You have no yardstick to compare what they would have done.

What we do know is that Obi failed woefully as governor of Anambra state.

It was written here on Nairaland in real time.

I've realised many people don't reason for themselves.

Following the bandwagon is what they are used to.

I am looking forward to that time in nigeria when people will have enough wisdom to vote for individuals and prospects inspite of their political parties or tribes. I'm looking forward to that time when someone will be contesting for a political position not just because he feels it is his turn, or because he wants to enrich himself but because he has a burden in his heart to make the country better and greater... Meanwhile goliath and the philistines too taught david was joking until they saw goliath's head rolling on the ground
Sometimes when I read what some of you write, I wonder about your sincerity or ability to reason.

Without bias, how can you compare what Tinubu has achieved as a leader with Obi?

How can you compare the growth of Lagos with any other place in West Africa?

How do you guys reach your conclusion?

Without bias, within your own natural proclivity, can you stand aside and compare achievements fro.m Academics, to administration, to political acumen?

Let me know how you guys reach your conclusion.
