I noticed that most of the countries with supposedly low suicide rate are Islamic/Middle-Eastern ones, which is a paradox of sorts to me coz na dem no mind to strap up and become suicide bombers. ![]() |
Lol. These people with their inferiority complex again. Even Abia state people, whose OUK is the only Forbes recognized Igbo dollar billionaire, don't make this much noise. Smh. |
'Good and Fermented Cocoa beans' |
PapaBrowne:Crap. You two-faced and double-speaking lots are only out to blackmail Osinbajo's kinsmen with your insincere praises so we ain't buying it. Already your folks have been opening threads upandan disparaging Osinbajo's tribe as being treacherous for supporting his policies and misinterpreting that to imply that they have 'betrayed' Buhari, while in the same breath you are here saying the opposite by claiming he doesn't enjoy Yoruba support. We know that when push comes to shove you lots will form deliberate amnesia and still accuse the same Osinbajo/Yorubas of some conspiratorial agenda to marginalize Una, irrespective of what Osinbajo or any or his kinsmen say or do regardless. |
TPAND:Everybody and their moms know vanguard practices junk journalism but seems Nduka and his outfit are contesting that title with them. In any case, Tinubu has every right as any other Nigerian to aspire for the presidency. The worst/best you can do is not to vote for him, but one million of you and your ilk can't deny him of his right to choose to or not to vie for the office. As a veteran politician and based on recent experiences within the APC I can see why he would consider the move for a political office. Truth is under the circumstances he has learned that you can't wield much influence in government, especially at the federal level, without a political office. Use and dump go be your portion as your foes will try to reduce your influence or 'cut you to size'. Also, by openly declaring and asserting his interest in the top job he is signaling his intention to play a major role in influencing who emerges the next president, even if he doesn't succeed in getting the position. That's smart politics. |
DonCortino:Nope, that's not what I meant. Was only trying to give a broad definition of the general perception of hustlers relative to conventional investors, in the context of this discussion. |
Chai!! Fear women. |
DonCortino:Drug-dealers, pimps, gamblers, prostitutes and the likes are the ones generally referred to as 'hustlers'. You wouldn't compare such people to big time investors now, would you? ![]() |
Vanguard is an iPob anti-SW tabloid so no surprises there. |
What people will do for money. ![]() |
Then he better consider flying into Lagos and make the rest of the journey to Ondo by road. ![]() |
SMH. Instead of them to up their game by investing in and having a stake in these new technologies that are threatening/disrupting their business model they want to ban them, they are wasting their time coz their days are numbered if they continue thinking this way. |
basilo102:Ok dude! Fvck the Telcos data. Anambra population is more (even double) than Rivers, Oyo, Ogun and FCT combined, coz you said so. Are you happy now?? WTF?? |
basilo102:You're not making sense dude. The last time Nigeria had a census was in 2006, every population data since then (including the ones you are touting) are merely based on extrapolated guesstimation. At least not until another census is conducted will we have the latest numbers. In light of this simple fact, the only other data that comes close to giving a reliable ballpark estimate is the Telcos data. Comprende?? Dude, you're wearing out my brain. WTF??!! I'm done. |
basilo102:Dude, I don't want to believe that you're as silly as you're starting to sound. The data in question is based on lines registered within every state of the federation, including the FCT. There's an obvious logical pattern in those numbers dude. Unless you're trying to imply that Igbo people in the SE as a matter of preference are less likely to register multiple lines, then you have no case. Quit grasping at straws and fvck off my mention. Thank you. Geez! |
basilo102:Are you saying Igbo people no dey do multiple registration? Oh no, lemme guess, the Telcos conspired with the rest of the country to reduce SE numbers to deprive y'all of your rightful position? As for the Abuja numbers, if the data says the FCT is currently more populated than Rivers, so what? So be it. ![]() |
basilo102:So only your Igbo people no dey buy double sim while the rest do just to ramp up their numbers? Whatever yardstick or excuse you make (double sim or whatever) will apply across the board, not unless you're trying to imply that Igbos have a unique telephony habit compared to the rest of the country. So you see that you don't have a case. You're just ego-tripping that's all. Guy abeg go and rest. |
basilo102:Yinmu. You're just a sore loser. Quit quoting me abeg. You can believe whatever you want. |
basilo102:Dude, I don't have to visit any thread to know that you're letting your ego get the better of you. Telco datas are based on REGISTERED LINES! Those lines are REAL lines that belong to REAL people. Infact, that data is more reliable than any data NPC has ever cooked-up since Nigeria started conducting censuses. Telcos are neutral/independent parties here. The figures you're touting sef is based on a discredited premise - The abysmally flawed and fraudulent 2006 Census. If the premise if flawed, obviously nothing credible can come from and out of it. Look, you can choose to believe whatever you like, that's your business. |
basilo102:I've tried ignoring you but since you mentioned me, I have just one question for you. How do you explain those Anambra/SE Telco data numbers? Is it that Anambra/SE folks don't like using phones? Una traders, students, parents, civil servants, farmers, politicians e.t.c no dey make calls or buy phones like the rest of the country? Or your people are so rural and backward that they are averse to modern telephony?? Whether you like it or not, that raw Telco data is the closest thing we have to a credible estimate -- you can choose to add or subtract a million to/from any of those numbers and it wouldn't make much of a difference. The NBS figures you're touting are mere extrapolated/theoretical estimates that have absolutely no empirical basis. ![]() |
Igboid:Crap. Do graduate/non-graduate working adults and 40, 50, 60, 70yr olds sit for JAMB? No, they don't but guess what? They have phones. Quit being disingenuous. I know you're an igbo supremacist and all, but you need to learn to be objective at times. Everything shouldn't be reduced to and given an ethnic and tribal coloration. Your attempt to discredit the Telco data is dead-on-arrival. |
Igboid:Lol. Guy, you are better than this. How many students actually sit for jamb in a year relative to the number of those that don't get to? What percentage do they represent of the total student body in Nigeria? What demographic and age-group/bracket do they represent? Your logic simply won't fly. I might as well refer you to the raw WAEC data below as being representative of the population of the country. But even I know better than to do that.
|
vanbonattel: You can't seem to help displaying your toutish nature, but I refuse to degenerate to your level. No, not today. |
EternalTruths:Nah, that's certainly not the only reason coz the Telcos data shows that even Edo state has more people than Anambra which is clearly the most populous state in the SE. The Ogun and Oyo figures alone sef is more than all the SE states combined according to those stats (doesn't even include Osun, ondo, and Ekiti). I think for some reason the SE region isn't experiencing as much population growth compared to other sections of the country. |
oduastates:Truth is, only a neutral/independent party's data (like the Telcos') can be relied upon when it comes to this sort of subject matter in the Nigerian context because government-related sources can be easily compromised, for obvious reasons. |
explorer250:There's no way in hell that Anambra population can be more than Rivers, don't deceive yourself. |
Freedom2016:I agree. Don't mind OP. Oyo should be at least double Anambra's population. ![]() http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/report/486 |
There are way more reliable data out there to guide us as to the true picture of things instead of this rubbish guesswork. NBS and the Telcos have made life much easier. http://www.nigerianstat.gov.ng/report/486
|
This is a welcome development that will settle a lot of questions. Hopefully they won't politicize and bungle this one as well with fabricated/cooked-up figures in the end. |
omenkaLives:Don't blame them bro. Anyone that can be fooled into believing in and paying for a Biafran passport and Aircraft would fall for anything. Obiano sabi dem well well. He's just feeding them with the usual staple of bullshyt, and see as dem dey guzzle/swallow am like Eba. ![]() |
nonsobaba:Dude, are you sure your brain ain't leaking or something? Why you gotta spam my mention with your lies? Look here, I'm not one of your fellow ipod numb-brains that you people can bamboozle with your bullshyt. WTF, I don't even care if una export 20-million phantom yams. Just wanted to point out the sloppy job you Obiano hirelings did in the report. |
PassingShot:Imagine o. The report said Obiano agreed with the United States on exports to the United Kingdom. I didn't know U.S now enters agreements on behalf of the U.K. Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has said his administration has perfected plans with the United States of America to export one million tubers of yam, as well as other vegetables to the United Kingdom. |

it is that simple, quit being emotional about it
Oh no, lemme guess, the Telcos conspired with the rest of the country to reduce SE numbers to deprive y'all of your rightful position? As for the Abuja numbers, if the data says the FCT is currently more populated than Rivers, so what? So be it.
