Lol. These're dedicated to all those who badly wanted to win a certain competition on NL. This could be bringing their destinies to them, on a platter.

D. Sinatra Entertainment in conjunction with Miss West Africa International are set to bring the Miss West Africa Nigeria 2013 to Asaba, Delta State this February!

Camping starts from Sunday 17th February 2013, with crowning of the Queen at the Grand Finale on the Saturday 23rd February 2013. The winner will be going home with a brand new car and will be representing Nigeria at the Miss West Africa International on the 23rd of March 2013 holding at Cape-Verde.

The Grand Finale will be hosted by Uti Nwachukwu and Ejiro of Kiss FM. Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson and the current Miss West Africa International will be the special guests at the event.

Auditions for Miss West Africa Nigeria will be taking place in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt and Asaba from Monday 4th February to Saturday 9th February 2013.

The Face of Tokad models competition is a fresh initiative born out from a burning desire to give back to the society by empowering young ladies. It’s a platform for young aspiring models to achieve their dreams. This event has
been set up in such a way that each contestant participating in the competition will be trained and ready to face the challenge of modelling industry.

This maiden edition of the competition will kick off with the purchase of forms from designated points which the 20 finalists will be shortlisted. The finalists will undergo intense training on catwalk, Style, Poses, and all the multi-facets of the gruelling world of modelling. The event finale will see the finalists strut the runway, and the winner will emerge.
You must be atleast Age 16 to 23 years to partake in this competition.

JANE CELLIERS: Chief Judge, a representative of Ice Model Management. South Africa.

BALI LAWAL: Italian super model
REZE BONNA: Fashion photographer of the year 2011/2012 (FAB AWARDS)

Trip to South Africa (All Expenses paid), Work permit with Ice Models Management, 3 months Accommodation, US$1000 cash, Cooking at the African Kitchen Show live and Photoshoot.

Winner (Second Position)
US$1000 cash, Make up kit worth fifty thousand naira, Cooking at the African Kitchen Show live and Photoshoot.

Interesting question. Someone of mine's family insisted that he use a relative and I wondered why. Their reason's that he's family - just like that. The tradition of picking a best man/lady based on fondness, has been weathered over time, so much that people almost never find the will to meet that interesting "friend" of their friend at such occassions anymore. While some may still use closeness as a criterion, others just want people that can work their bottoms off, or that are financially strong to lavish an absurd amount of cash on something that doesn't directly concern them.
