Towards the increasing demand for locally made vehicles across the country, the Chairman of Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM) Limited, Dr Innocent Chukwuma, has named former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi, as the major person that inspired him to manufacture SUVs and Pick-Up vans to support indigenous merchandise in his administration.

Chukwuma said this in a media parley with journalists in Nnewi, Anambra State, on Tuesday.

He disclosed that as Governor, “Mr Peter Obi placed orders for 500 SUVs, 700 buses and 500 pick-up vans and that helped us a lot because he does not owe, he even paid us in advance.”

“Even when there were several criticisms that the vehicles might not be durable, he squashed the thought and charged me to prove them wrong with the production.”

“Honestly, it was a breakthrough for me in the business, that piloted me to the vehicle manufacturing market as more kinds of vehicles have been manufactured thereafter.

While reacting to the situation of foreign exchange (forex) in the country, Chukwuma said his company is looking ahead to being a producer of vehicles for use in the African continent as a whole, a development he asserted would reduce pressure on the Stock Exchange Market.

He said he had expanded his scope of production to a wide range of vehicles which include the latest SUVs, wagons, commuter buses, among others.

“I need to correct one impression. While a lot of automobile companies in the country are assemblage plants, ours is a manufacturing plant. We source most of our components locally. And that is the edge we have over others. If I see a local company that will add value to what we are doing through the production of components, I will patronize them.

Country that take accountability seriously.

Yet in Nigeria here, a certain man, Peter Pandora was caught with 250m naira cash in his car. When he was trying to sneak it into lagos state in 2009.

This same man was involved in a secret oversea business. These are businesses he clandestinely set up and operated overseas, including in notorious tax and secrecy havens in ways that breached Nigerian laws. Which was blown open by the Pandora findings.

This same man diverted billions of anambra state money into his daughter oversee account, invested the few funds left and ran it into historical loss. Where the present governor of Anambra state had to scream so loud for the world to know..

This same man declared openly that he lives, wine and dine with Ipob.

And many more....

Yet, this same man is a presidential candidate in Nigeria here contesting for the sit of Power. Being champion and cheerlead by aggressive, insulting, disrespectful bullies who thinks he is the best thing after chocolate.

Robert greene states that:
People that controls people perceptions of reality, control them

That is why: You need to judge people by their actions and maneuvers, not by fake stories or unproven figure they quote.

Resist people who sell stories of Nigeria's failure to you just to score cheap political point.
True Peter Obi is a crook but so are Tinubu and Atiku

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, on Wednesday said there will be no more strikes by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) if he is elected President in 2023.

The former Anambra Governor said he will give education a priority as president.

Obi said, “We will make sure there is no strike in Universities, we will take education as priority because we want to educate our people, we shall turn the vast land to Agriculture land to feed this country, youth of Nigeria will have job, we shall fight corruption together because it is killing the future of Nigerian youths, people are stealing money meant for the development of Nigeria.”

Obi who made this known while speaking in a rally held at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, in Ibadan Oyo State, asserted that he would build a new Nigeria that every citizen would be proud of.

He affirmed that his government would secure and unite the country, while lauding elder statesman, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, for standing for equity, fairness and justice, which he identified as the foundation for a united Nigeria.

Obi maintained that the new Nigeria he would build would be devoid of tribalism or religion, adding that he would also create an enabling environment for the youths to thrive.

“I and my deputy are wealth creators; we are not wealth sharers; we will create wealth for Nigerians, Nigeria today has become a laughing stock, people are not proud to say we are Nigerians, they are now running away from their country.

If he lost the NW, and gained the rest of the country, it would have been a better deal for him.
I agree with everything you've said but you left out the most important part: Peter Obi can't win the regions he needs to be elected president and for that reason he will lose

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi says he will consult with the Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo on solutions to tackle Nigeria’s challenges.

Obi made this known on Monday at Protea Hotel in Ikeja, the Lagos State capital, during a meeting with the Nigerian Guild of Editors.

“He (Soludo) knows and he has the solution so I need to consult him to help me,” Obi said of the Anambra governor whom he fondly referred to as his brother.

The LP candidate also promised to adopt the Bangladesh model of 35% Affirmative Action, noting that he would create an atmosphere where 50 percent of Nigerian women would be included in its National Productivity Programme.

Of late, Soludo, a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria; and Obi, who was Anambra governor between 2006 and 2014; have been engaged in altercations on the state of Anambra economy.

Soludo had said the investments Obi left in government are worth close to nothing.

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) chieftain also said Obi can’t win the 2023 presidential election as there are “two persons/parties seriously contesting for president”.

All major party candidates has their flaws . However since we need to vote.
I will vote for a candidate who will restructure Nigeria. That's the only hope for nigeria ,further continuation of same things will lead to its break up.
Go and read the Nigerian constitution again. No single individual can restructure the country without fundamental constitutional reform. This requires a broad consensus requiring at least 2/3 of state legislatures. No president can wield that kind of power except of course he's a military dictator
