This thread is about a phenomenon called pareidolia or apophenia. The pedestrian interpretation of the two terms is seeing faces where they don't actually exists. You stare at a wall painting and see a lady blushing, people see a graffiti but you saw angry looking adult, the stains in your wooden ceiling is a person without a nose, you watch the clouds and see spongebob staring back at you.

You are not mad if you experience this, perceiving meaningful shapes in random patterns is inherent in us. Unless the faces move or talk, it is safe to assume you're fine.

Take a look at photo below, do you see a logo or a moustached-squirrel-toothed-dude with a cap about to sleep.

TV/MoviesCinemas Before Markets, Kannywood's Latest Strategy. (photos) by Rokaa(op): 4:40pm On Jul 04, 2017
The culture of showing films in cinemas has predated Kannywood or any other Nigerian film industry, unfortunately in Kannywood those cinemas make the most profit, even more than the film makers/crew, this is largely due to the advantage given to them on a platter by the film makers.

After dedicating much time, effort, wits; commiting resources and spending tremendous amounts for advertisements on billboards, internet e.t.c, the film makers dont get the pleasure of premiering their work, they instead release to the public which in most cases got hijacked by pirates and the profit got split even.

To correct this anomaly, Kannywood has reintroduced premiering movies by its producers in cinema's first before releasing to the market. The fans now get to meet, interact and watch movies with their favorite stars, the cinemas patronage will increase, producers will reap benefits of their hardword, and the industry would grow.

I brought to you photos from a movie premiered this week, the message they sent out is well received as seen by the huge crowd trooping to cinemas and the response of satisfaction they give after coming out.

Photos from the movie "Mansoor".

I remembered when I was schooling in A.B.U Zaria i used to organise Almajiri boys to play this game, the winner team will go home with highest price.

Then there was a football pitch at the front of Faculty of veterinary medicine.
Sometimes we play with the Almajiris, you'll be surprised how strong they are, we'll get tired and leave but they only stop when it's time to go back to their schools.

Adults in the so-called civilized world engage in sports of beating and knocking one another with spectators from all works of life without condemnation that it's irresponsible, rather it's listed among descent occupations.

There's long list of "unintelligent", it includes you and the things you do.

Hahahaha very true!
I was small, slim and fast that time. but most importantly I count on the defense of my stronger teammates who give that kind push to the chest that will send a player tumbling on the ground, no need to even target your lago.
grin grin grin

If the player pushed is a cry baby, the first thing you will hear is "Allah ya isa, shege mugu".

I use to play this game as a kid. I was a champion, I was the ruwa (the last man) this was before metasine uprising that drove us out of the north.

Ruwa ta sha!
Lol I remember this game, I used to make a very formidable "ruwa" due to my small size when I was a kid. Those older, bigger and stronger than us will form the defense at the front and I'd be the quarter back. Taking the slightest chance I'd dash swiftly to the goal.
It's quiet dangerous though. I remember getting caught between two strong opponents. It wasn't funny!
You must be a fast runner, the way some Ruwa's run and jump on one foot eh. Some even jump over cars grin

When those big boys ambush you the whole world turns black.

Interesting game it reminds me of Dr dodge ball.
There's a traditional dodgeball here called "Labo". If you allow the ball touch you, the players will use their already rolled shirts and beat you till you run to the safety post.

Almost all the players cry before the game ends

Langa is a traditional Hausa sport where two teams come together to play. It's a hopping game of standing/walking/running with one leg while holding the other leg with the opposite hand(Lago). This game is usually played by children under the age of 15.

Before the game starts both teams will select a prime player(Ruwa) whose teammates will protect at all cost to enable him win by reaching the other team's post.

When the game begins, the teams will struggle to eliminate their opponents by dislodging their Lago, when a team succeeded in disentangling the other team's Ruwa, it's a win added to their score.

On sunday 2nd july 2017 the people of Makera Ja'en ward in Gwale local govt and Zawaciki ward of Kumbotso local govt both in Kano state organized a Langa match between their youths, choosing 6 players per team. Other excited youths that wanted to participate also form their teams and wait for their turn to play.

While they play, the elderly, other youths, children and women watch and cheer them concurrently reminiscing on nostalgic memories.

That's who some want to become the President in 2018.
They have their reasons, and those reasons are good, his eight years in Jigawa has given the state a new breath of life, the transformation is superb, his radical problem solving approach and guts is from another world.

The only problem is he's a rascal. If i'm not mistaken he once beat up one of his commissioners for not compensating farmers.

IamaNigerianGuy:
It is not necessary to insult me in defence of your error.

Simple reflection on your point will demonstrate you are wrong : if building health facilities equated standard care, Nigerians would not be traveling out of the country for medical attention. We have been building hospitals since 1960 with the same effect on health care delivery.

I see no need to engage you further on this issue since your understanding is limited.
We have this abnormal craving for anything foreign, from clothes, foodstuff, education to even taking vacations. Those that can afford can do anything.

This hospital is for the masses, "general hospitals" everywhere are for the common man, this one is upgraded recently, uprading is improving on "standard care" and hell yeah everything is special about that.

Keep contradicting yourself and hating on what must be commended. Ganduje has done well, you cannot change that.
HealthRe: Ganduje Completes Dawakin Tofa Hospital Upgrade (Photos) by Rokaa(op): 3:59pm On Jul 02, 2017
IamaNigerianGuy:
Nobody is painting you black.
Reporters report what they see. If you have good news come share with us.

What is special about upgrading a hospital ? Will the Governor be able to staff it and provide standard care ? That is what we should be asking.

These governors are only interested in awarding and commissioning projects not in driving true development.
You're pathetic!

This is the same bitterness i speak earlier on, you were saying nothing is special about hospital upgrade and simultaneously asking if the governor have the political will to deliver standard care.

Dumbo, what's the purpose of upgrading hospitals if not to improve on the "standard care".

Yes, what do you want me to say?
That the northern governors are steadily investing in their ppl; while their chest beating counterparts are busy looting away their common wealth and deceiving their resentful hateful ppl that the north is largely responsible?
Lol. And for our governors with meagre IGR's to increase their efforts in diversifying their sources of income to be able to move their states to greater heights. To rid themselves of the lazy attitude of waiting for chicken change from the FG before making any positive impact on their subjects.
