Below is posted on her facebook page: "However good the policies of the National and state government are, the effects will not be felt by people at the grassroots without able Local Government Chairmen and councillors. Today in Kebbi state, we are voting for a team to compliment the APC led leadership of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. For the first time in the state and in a bold step towards Gender Equity, the ruling APC is fielding 23 female candidates who hope to scale through. Earlier in the week, in a solidarity with her fellow women, Her Excellency the wife of Kebbi state governor Dr Zainab Atiku Bagudu formally met the female candidates at an interactive strategy meeting. The meeting was attended by leaders of female decampees as well as women leaders from all 21 LGA of the state. " On saturday 15/7/2017 the electorates casted their votes, out of the 21 chairmen & 225 councilors position, APC won all but 5 councilors. If we assume PDP won the only five councilorship seats after defeating 5 APC women we still have 18 women who scaled through https://www.arewaonline.com/download/1500303082-3kebbi1jpg0c02952649185fd64aa4219f16bd486d.jpeg https://www.arewaonline.com/download/1500303082-3kebbi2jpgadce88ae5fdaecd8a4e2ce142a2de03f.jpeg https://www.arewaonline.com/download/1500303082-3kebbi3jpgfbb1e68b6d1a604868eeaeec93320f92.jpeg https://www.arewaonline.com/download/1500303082-3kebbi4jpg9c9bbffcd4161d15c84175897076b79a.jpeg http://www.arewaonline.com/56/23-women-became-chairmen-councillors |

Governor Ibrahim Gaidam of Yobe State has said the state is set to emerged a major player in food production in the country with the take-off of his administration’s special irrigation scheme in Nguru, Mugura and Boloram in Nguru and Gaidam local government areas of the state. The governor, who spoke during separate visits to the irrigation locations, said he envisages a ‘strong presence’ in the production of wheat, rice, maize, and other crops because of the investments being made in irrigation agriculture. “With what I have seen in these locations and the concerted effort of the Special Task Force on irrigation, I am confident that we will soon become a major player especially in rice wheat production. We will give the task force every support it needs to grow these fields and empower our farmers to become commercial farmers”, he said. Chairman of the Yobe Special Irrigation Task Force Mr Gambomi Goni said the scheme at Nguru Lake is 500 hectares while Mugura and Boloram have 435 hectares combined. “We are currently working on 200 hectares each in Nguru and Mugura. In Nguru, we are constructing a 1500 meters main canal as well as numerous intake channels”, he said. Gambomi Goni explained that cropping is due to start in Nguru during the October wheat season with 1, 000 to 1, 200 farmers benefitting. “We will grow throughout the year and we envisage three cropping seasons with wheat around October-March, rice around March-July and then early variety of maize around July September. We expect four to five tons of what we grow per hectare”, he said. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/yobe-set-to-become-major-producer-of-rice-wheat--gaidam/205455.html Lalasticlala seun mynd44 |

indodon:We all know that northerners getting married off as third wives is not the true reflection of your immediate concerns about the marital institution. Infact your true pain if you have any about the marital life of women is scaling the marriage hurdle itself. And your greatest fear as a man is ending up with a lady whose womb and pipes were ravaged silly by exploits of dudes like you. |
NorthSide:It's all in the head you know, we choose what we wanted to see and believe, we can focus on the bad or choose to see the good. I earlier stated that for so long the northerners have allowed others tell their stories, creating all kinds of fictitious tales and force feeding the easily hoodwinked. Whoever thinks other people/group/race can't be as equally good as he/she is or even better, is not wise |
BigIyanga:I'm yet to see the co-relation between dress code and good health care. People dress according to societal ethics. Patients go to doctors with the right expertise. This is common sense. Wealthy people will always settle for the best practitioners, the common man will select from what he can afford. If a country have the best hospitals, by default it became darling to wealthy people. Since you chicken out on the question i asked, let me answer it for you. The Arabs you love to loathe are far better than us here, they beat us hands down on all indices pointing to a civilized society. |
BigIyanga:America's advancement in medicine cant be compared with the Saudi's. Even other superpower country citizens visits US for health issues. Your comparison is devoid of any intelligence What you should be concerned about is how your country is faring in the general scheme of things? How many poor Nigerians are able to get grants from the govt to seek medical care in the US. Would you in your right sense compare the living standards in Saudi and say Nigeria is better? |
PointZerom:He's right to gloat about them pretty brilliant ladies. You're a disappointment and bitter bigot with no iota of shame who prefer to read and publish negative stories on Arewa & our women, but go full deranged whenever you're shown the positives. Bigots die young. |

This projection should include our neighboring countries as well, because we are their main source of rice, they troop everyday in their thousands to buy foodstuff in our markets. If we did'nt include their demands in our statistics we wont be able to beat those deadlines |
