hackney: As far as the topic goes, Gaddafi has a point. Despite blacks being shot in the deserts, they still risk their lives to cross the med via libya, algeria etc.
If libya lets go of their border controls, all those millions of rat-like sudanese, angolans,e.africans will just rat their way across and start living under pieces of cloths in railways and warehouses, urrrrgggghhh! ! !
Even the ones that are legit here get clustered and become grimey, so how much more the potential illiterate, unskilled rat infestations. No thanks. Fool |

eyoniggar: @ Romeo. A thread that was created 2006 was popped to the main page on the sport section today. And I was going through the thread, I figured out you were a core Barca Fan. I checked on your profile and figured out you were active as of yesterday, even though uve been a member since 2005. I want to know if you are still a Barca fan, cos u seem not to be interested in the sport section anymore. I am still a Barça fan but i am not big fan of Nairaland anymore lol |

naijatoday: If you follow the Vanguard story that has been posted here they are claiming foreign investors (private) will be used as fronts for Nigerians who were not happy with soludo's consolidation to buy the banks. If it a Foreign bank, will it not list it in its report that they bought a Nigerian bank and the percentage they bought? I do not think a foreign bank will work will Nigerian investors to buy a bank and lie to their own regulator that they bought 100% of a bank.
I was only saying there is a difference based on the Vanguard's claim that it is Nigerians (or northerners) will buy the bank useing foreign investors. Thanks for the clarification very simple too |

Politics › Re: Biafra Will Be The Biggest Mistake Ever. Beware! by romeo(m): 9:20am On Aug 22, 2009 |
Eziachi: MASSOB is an organisation geard toward freedom of Igbo people and others that believe in what we believe from Nigeria. There are many other organisations. I had supported MASSOB financially like many other patriots, I am not a card carrying member of MASSOB, I am founding member of Biafran Liberation front (BLF) bt fighting the same course with MASSOB just like in South Africa during the dark era of aparthide, not every South Africa is a member of ANC.
Those Nigerian that oppose Biafra or our idea but without an alternative but only to wait, pray and hope, thinks they are more patriotic than me and others but they are wrong. The different between them me/us is that we are pro-active in thinking and have to do something when you are fully sure that something that has not work, is not working now and no sign that it will ever work, you have to take action. Nigeria of 1999 is better than Nigeria of 2009 and who will bet against that Nigeria of next year will make this year looks a success.
They are waiting for the super glue that kept one Nigeria together called crude oil to finish and then it will be too late to do something. It better to look for the black goat in the day light than to wait until darkness comes and it becomes much more difficult.
99% of those that Oppose the Biafran option does so purely on their hatred for anything Ndigbo is involved, other based on their selfish interest that will disappear with one Nigeria and finally the aparthetic group, the sidon dey look group that thinks that God will solve it for us one day. You will never hear a rational view on why they oppose the idea, rather they will start spreading fears of war, who will join us and who wouldn't, Biafra is landlocked, Biafra geoographical landscape is small and those that will ask you why it would not be the same as its with Nigeria today?
But if a soldier was thinking of what it was for those that died in past wars, no one will ever join the army. And those that preach fear of a war- why should there be a war and who will be fighting who and for what if we agree to divorce in peace or let those that like one Nigeria continues with it? Well put Bro!! |

DayoCoker: In the past week, a faceless organisation has been circulating a list of spurious allegations impugning the character of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Nigeria's foremost businessman. This publication started as a tabloid named factsnigeria and has now mutated into a website factsnigeria.com. The man behind the smears claims that his name is Mukhtar Muktar and that his address is 1 Union Marble House Ikoyi, which is actually the corporate headquarters of the Dangote Group. That man is a liar. Mukhtar Muktar does not exist. Mukhtar Muktar is a pseudonym for Michael Otedola, owner of Dola Petroleum Services UK and younger brother of Zenon CEO, Femi Otedola. The Dangote Support Group did an Internet check on factsnigeria.com and confirmed this suspicion. The Dangote Support Group will begin legal proceedings against Michael Otedola next week in the U.K for libellous statements and defamation of character.
