How you dey do am?
first of all i do not go to the airport for going sakes. if i dont have a drop off at the airport or close to the airport, i dont have any business there.

once you are in the areas around the airport you are automatically placed on a queue. you will receive requests whether you are in the car park or not. i never ever join a queue of more than 7 vehicles. if there are less than 7 vehicles it tells me my turn will come quicker therefore paying 400 naira toll is arrant waste of money.

so i simply drive around the queue zone to ensure i am still on queue. i dont drive more than 50km/hr when doing this so the issue of burning fuel of 400 doesnt even arise. as i drive around it keeps counting down to my turn until a request comes in.. and with it the 400.

but Airport chrages 600 i think for SUVs?
yes. 600 for suv. but a smart driver (like me) wouldnt pay for parking but will still receive requests and still get paid 400.

i have reasons to believe that uber manipulates surges. they can also create a "fake" surge making you think an area is surging only for the surge to disappear as you approach the area.

* Will the App rate a new driver 5.0. If not, how will the driver get Request online when the rider(customer) will always send request to high rated drivers.
* Is there any means to communicate with the rider (i.e phone call, chat)
yes. the app shows the riders number with option to call or text.

if you are not familiar with the area it is nice to call them and confirm their location. google map can be having a bad day and decide to lead you inside bush or thru a fence or locked gate.

Please, I have a vital question.
*Will the App tell you the destination of the rider before going to pick them up. Your present Location might be Agege and someone in Victoria Island request for a ride to CMS
* Will it tell you the number of rider you will be picking per trip
* Will the App rate a new driver 5.0. If not, how will the driver get Request online when the rider(customer) will always send request to high rated drivers.
the app will only tell you the destination of a rider after you have picked them up and started the trip. you can never be in agege and receive a request from someone in victoria island.

the app doesnt tell you how many people you will be transporting.

all drivers always start on 5.0. reduction in your rating is as a result of your interaction with riders. there are also some witches in form of riders who would rate you low for no reason at all or because they are having a bad day.

I am new. Can you kindly explain these terms
"Payments, trip payments, cash collected and estimated total" which one exactly were you paid?
payments - total money you received from riders and uber in form of incentuves and promotions.

trip payments - total money you made from just driving.

cash collected - cash you physically collected from riders who opted to pay with cash rather than card.

estimated total is the amount uber is owing you for the week which they would deposit into your bank acct or your partners bank acct.

that is why uber reduced fares. they are the voice of the people.

OlugbengaE:
Mr Uber, can you explain why they reduce their year qualification to 2003 if everything was rosy with your mighty Uber
is that rocket science?

to get more people using uber. riders aren't forced to enter the cars and riders can cancel a trip if they do not like the cars.

options and choices.

better cars get better ratings
Business › Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by Romeo3(m): 9:37pm On May 11, 2017
OlugbengaE:
Beacuse there more riders and also less drivers too

Currently i know 34 cars that are off uber
see.

we are not fighting. you really don't have to bark at every comment I make.

Uber is just a company. if you choose to drive with the competition, by all means do.

I am all about making money. and I use opportunities when I see them. if a company like lyft comes into nigeria and RIDERS prefer lyft to uber I will consider joining them. they are the only ones known to give uber a run for their money.

taxify has convinced me not.

my personal opinion and I am entitled to it.

@Romeo3, I like your business model. Making money on Uber is not the point now but how profitable is it? Uber gives you riders at a price below profit margin and you are happy. Don't forget the cars are losing value everyday while the cost of maintaining them are going up. To make profit on Uber now, you need cars manufactured earlier than 2003 or cars without AC.
are you aware that on uber right now drivers no longer wait for trips?

you don't get me still do you?

it has never been about the driver. how many riders will agree to pay 2200 when they can pay 1600?

is taxify more concerned about their drivers and not riders who would bring in the money?

what happens to the drivers who troop in, when riders boycott taxify?

Pls think.
why wasn't this issue I raised treated?

because it is easier to insult someone and get a few likes that to actually think.

OlugbengaE:
what will you do if uber raises the prices? promise me that you will give discount to riders.

Uber called me from South Africa asking why i haven't been online for one week. I told them my car is off their platfrom and the girl was begging me to online. i told her never!!!
No smart company will raise prices as it stands now. all uber has to do is increase driver earnings either by commission reduction or weekly incentives.

taxify has shown themselves to be overly desperate to be number one without thinking their decisions through. that is why they went back to their vomit in less than 7 days.

hungry driver?

why do you all insult me simply because of my opinion? remember that no one has a monopoly over insults. I choose to be polite so far.

it is well. we all don't see life through the same lens. where others see failure some see opportunity.

time will tell.

If most drivers move to taxify because of better rates
The riders will move too because drivers will be scarce in uber

Its obvious you an uber person. I think every drivers/ partners should be happy with this.

Ojodu to Marina Uber 1600
Ojodu to Marina taxify 2200

Every drivers would be happy to get 2200 instead of 1600 except Romeo3

It's just a matter of time before the number of drivers on taxify outnumber riders...

people only take taxify as 2nd option. and what happens when 2nd option increases it's fares?

your guess is as good as mine.

Why do you say sohuh?
All of us are happy o!!!!
Long live taxify
their business model is not sustainable in the long run.

Uber owns majority of riders and with the stupid increase taxify just did they nailed their own coffin cos uber now became more attractive to riders who are the spine of the business.

taxify drivers are mostly uber rejects. that isn't changing in a long time.

Romeo3, from your dashboard, you made 21k in 15hrs. Fuel takes about 10k in 15hrs. Other expenses takes about 3k
You are left with 8k for 15hrs labour. How much do you remit to owner because I believe you don't own a car.
Where will you get money for maintenance and how long will your car endure this pressure. Mind you, you are still enjoying the surge. Uber makes much more than you
You are either paid to do what you are doing or you get your calculation all wrong. This is a channel to failure in life. Wish you the best
so after all your negativity you still want to put your car on an e-taxi platform and on hire purchase?

wonders
