falconey: well quite it is not, that is what it means these days with Nigerian ladies. Lol, they don't want to put their eggs in one basket. But for anyone who's said to be single means either unmarried or not involve in any romantic affair. Any other usage of the word is malapropism. |

Travel › Re: I Need Help With Information About Moving To GHANA by ronald4lif(m): 7:35pm On Jun 16, 2016 |
DaVinciii: 1. To travel to Ghana, you need only your international passport.
2. Just like in Nigeria, Gh landlords generally won't take 6 months rent. Most of them will ask you to rent for 3 years upfront, 2 years if you're lucky. Unless you will stay in a serviced apartment which is way more expensive. When you get to Ghana, just walk along the streets of Accra you will see small sign boards with phone nos of accomodation agents and the costs of the apartments. I can't say how much for the apartments because I don't know what you like. visit www.tonaton.com (website like olx) and search for apartments. Don't worry, Gh is not like naija, 98% of listings there are legit. You can search here from naija and make your arrangements before coming.
3. When I first came here we had 24/7 power, but since like last year, the economy became very bad and light started NEPAing. Although unlike naija, they actually released timetable online so you will know when the light will come and go in your area. Well, since November last year, the light offs have stopped. there's now constant light but unlike before, they may take the light for a few hours like twice a week.
4. Ghanaians are friendly. Very friendly but are skeptical about Naija people (understandably). 3years upfront rent. WTF is that. |

mimzy: Alright I can their response coming in.
In continuation of section 2
D. What's your take on ladies who use Butt/Bosom pads to entice men? Honestly, it is another form of deception. Ladies should be as honest as it is possible with their looks. I believe men vary and different men desire different body shapes from women.
I think it is absolutely uncalled for. I mean , why will any lady choose to wear butt pads when the guy in question is bound to find out now or later. It is really demeaning.
I don't think it's really worth the stress. If a man loves you, he will appreciate your body whichever way it comes .
E. There has been a debate recently that pre marital sex should be allowed in order to avoid marital crisis of sexual inability from both sexes like infertility and impotence issue. So do you support pre-marital sex?
I think it's subject to personal and societal interpretations.
In the major religions, it's kicked against but again, for the non-religious, it's not binding on them.
Religion aside, there are societies where young people are encouraged to be sexually-liberal.
Time, culture and morality have changed. So is the notion of sex. Humans are dynamic and have evolved away from a fixed set of social conducts. There's no generally acceptable code of conduct outside religious tenets on premarital sex. We are in the era of collective goodwill and social evolution. I feel the notion of premarital sex is purely subjective.
No matter the case, I think no-one should be forced to have sex, demeaned for it and everyone who willingly indulge in it should also stand-up to the resulting happenings.
Wristbangle Very apt response. I like. |

joseph1832: Not at all, most literature enthusiast would react this way. I just want what's right, nothing more.
This same instance happened in the rap section, and the moniker involved was given a year ban. We must not overlook things like this, no matter how the little it is, never foregt: “To leave error unrefuted is to encourage intellectual immorality.” — Karl Marx.
Just my two cents bro. There have been countless instances where people lifted work from others in verbatim on this forum and they were never incarcerated, most times the mods just delete/lock the thread. Though not holding brief for her but hers was an excerpt from the piece she lifted not the entire work. Tosyne2much and many others have been victims many times and even though it was their complete work they didn't wince about like some of you have been on this case since last night. The organizers have said this has nothing to do with them and that its up to voters to decide with their ballots if she's worth their vote. I think that should suffice. We all have just one vote, let's vote out the 'cheats' na bros. Isn't it simple? |

joseph1832: I wouldn't say that bro, for me, as a literati I believe she should have just apologized and let things be. For I know I wouldn't be smiling if it was me she plagiarized, any literati will frown at any form of plagiarism. Bros, but why have you taken this more serious than it actually is and even more than person behind the exposé? What difference will her apology make to you? The only outcome of the continual flogging of this issue will be her to pull out of the contest or weaken her morale. It's that the objective of this protest? |

thagift: am just asking seun a simple question, is plagiarism now allowed and why are they hiding the threads. I don't think the threads are being locked coz they're shielding her, it is coz of the controversy surrounding it and the resulting quibbling and seamless remonstration that it generates. When and if left unlocked it may result to further chaos and insults hence the need to lock it. Dygeasy must have heard your plea for action and will act accordingly if need be, no need to keep overflogging the issue. |

His parents are likely not to accept the idea of no kids and once that happens I fear for the future of the relationship. We're generally not known to go against our parent's decision when it comes to choosing a partner.
Also, you don't cook? This doesn't sound well too for a Nigerian, we love our women to be traditional and exceptional in the kitchen. You two seem to be of a clashing background and upbringing. How long have you been dating him? |

Lol. Someone messed up and answered their questions wrongly and another did exceptionally well to theirs, fine. No need to make an issue out of the exercise, you can settle for the ones who did justice to their question without rubbishing the ones who we perceived faired poor.
If one already have a candidate no matter how they faired they'd stand by them while they score others poorly. It's not that serious. We all have just one vote bikonu. |

falconey: I had no intention of blackmailing her, I had read that paragraph on naij.com before she posted it today. what she was doing was wrong , she was outshining her counterparts especially lanicky, I knew from the moment I saw the statement this was not from her . i had to stop her,i made my research and did what I had to.
I don't have a candidate , thou I support mimzy (but not one of her campaign manager) and chubbyt.
good luck to her , whatever the committee handling the event decides , I don't care , all I know is I did the right thing to make this contest fair , with the momentum she was building she could wipe out her opponents before the event.
cc smelly mouth mim zy ronald4 lif wrist bangle tosyne2 much dy geasy Her consistent silence over the accusation speaks volume and an indictment of guilt. So for anyone to continue to defend another's 'crime' when they can stand for themselves isn't something I want to do. However, personally I don't see anything wrong on her part after comparing the link to the highlighted response on tethor thread that was locked. But that's left for her to defend. You may also want to repost the naij link let me really understand the depth of evidence and plagiarism. |

Ivyy, Lanicky, ChubbyT
Who have it easier in life, men or women and why?
What is the essence of being a woman and do you think a woman must be married to be seen as accomplished? And why?
Do you support euthanasia and why?
Should your chosen/intending career don't materialise well, what alternative career goal do you have?
Please ignore any question that has been asked earlier as I couldn't peruse through the entire pages. Thanks. |
