starting an IPTV from Naija is not the easiest job on earth. Advising Seun to float an internet tv without letting him know the modalities will set him on a suicidal terrain.

You are in dublin so access to data centres and content aggregators will be easy because you can pipe all your encoded content via an sdsl point to point system.

Seun will need to wait for Nigsatcom1 to take full effect before dabbling into the world of IPTV be it live or VOD content.
The technology is no longer complicated.

Once he has the finances and access to fast infrastructure then you can advise him to tow that line. Its not as simple as using his monthly 2tb server space and bandwidth to host a medium for large amount of concurrent users.

PEOPLE , i thot HITV was the entity that got the rights to air the English Premiership League in Naija, thats the news we've heard regarding their battle with DSTV.

Now i just saw on NTA a conference of tv entities celebrating the fact that BON, OSMI and co hv secured rights to air and distribute the EPL throughout naija free to air.

Sounds great but then they've just helped to peg the growth of hitv.

Check the facts; both channels are run by intelligent young bizness men; Kwame (N) and Tajudeen (S).

Both channels are now on cable, Nigezie is on HITV and Sound City is on TELEVISTA a cable platform headed by Tajudeen.

I believe these young men are doing fantastically well and are ready for 21st century bizness.

Ayo Animashauns (publisher of Hip Hop World Magazine) HIP TV should also do well cos just like his predecessors in this sector of music tv he is passionate about naija music and well connected from top to bottom. May i add that Tajudeen owns Blast Magazine.

Dem guys are doing big things and as long as intelligent and resourceful young men are coming up with quality channels then its all good.

I hear some more will also spring up soon, as long as they are tight and representative of Naija, no lele.

As consumers lets be glad that there's competition, it only drives down prices, i even pray that TITV and FSTV can bounce back, I hope and pray the Tajudeens Televista also does well because thecompetition will ensure quality prgramming.
