Guitarlife: Hello guys, How best do you think I should navigate this situation. My fiance is in Europe rounding up her msc. I have a projected score of about 460 currently.
Would you advise I include my fiance details and probably start the procedure for marriage or should I finish through the EE with my current profile then marry her after the whole process.
How best would you suggest this be navigated ? Thanks. You can start the process yourself, after getting ITA, you can add her to the application or even after Submitting your application. Go through the thread, you will see people with similar situations and how they dealt with it. |

elfmann: I said licensed churches. O gini? OMG It’s like your blood is hot today. I know what you said, I was just putting it out there that not all churches give certificates, so if you’re u know of any other churches apart from Catholic Church, you can add to help others avoid spending money. I am done today, getting off this thread to avoid saying things I can’t take back. Laters |

elfmann: Omo.. Na this same document. No waste that cash.. I don't even know why folks go to registry when ur church has the license from court to issue marriage cert. Not all churches issue the same certificates as registries. I have Heard of cases, were the certificate was rejected and the people involved had to go to the registry. I only know of Catholic Churches. I might be wrong |

Chijudy: Please are you saying one can use the certificate issues by Catholic church as legal evidence of marriage for this immigration purpose? We just commenced the registry process so if it is the same we can as well save our money. I think so. What happened back then was, we went to Ikoyi registry to get the marriage license. They gave us three certificates, We took it back to church, after it was signed in church during our wedding, we took it back to the registry, and it was signed and stamped. Then we dropped one copy with Ikoyi registry, one with the church and we kept one. We wanted to do the court wedding, and we were told we didn’t need to, since Catholic Churches and the registry issue the same certificates. If you did all this before, then you might not need to go through the process again. |

And if, what is the assessment equivalent?

bbaby84: Oh dear! Madam please it's Sunday morning... I still don't understand and will never understand why an adult will be afraid of another adult on a faceless forum... (does he/ she pay your bills? Do you know the person in real life?) No matter your explanation I still won't understand. Perhaps, 'fear' is not the word you seek but if it is ...... Madam, like i said, no one should be afraid/shy. Maybe I was trying to put myself in some peoples shoes. It’s sunday abeg. I really don’t care anymore. |

Medal007: OK please are religious marriage certificate OK or must it be from a marriage registry. Not sure. When I got married(I’m catholic) we were told we didn’t need a certificate from the registry as Catholic Churches issue the same marriage certificate as the registry. So maybe check with your religious institution first. |

ugoiyke79e: Hello house, I have been asked for advise/guidance by someone close to me. My friend is divorced(yet to receive d divorce papers but final ruling has been done) She has a baby girl and a young relative (12yrs old) living with her. She wishes to proceed on EE and her estimated CRS is in d range of 445. Questions 1) Will she be needing any consent letters from her baby father?? She had a stormy marriage and their rship today is very bad...infact he will do everythng to frustrate her. 2) How can she go about legally adopting the relative being that her both parents are alive? I wouldnt mind being pointed to monickers with similar challenges/experiwnces/questions/advice......I will happily read their posts.
CC Glisteringstar, Cocktrane etc (all the gurus wey sabi trace posts) For the adoption I saw this on another forum. Hope it helps CHILDREN’S INFORMATION (IF APPLICABLE) •Children’s birth certificates (which name their parents) •Proof of legal registration of adoption for adopted dependent children •Proof of custody for children under the age of 18 and proof that the children may be removed from the jurisdiction of the court. The person can go a step further by showing other proof like school fees receipt etc |

bbaby84: When you say fear, I'm not understanding that part. People can ask questions if they wish and whomever is able to answer will answer. This is a faceless forum, I'm wondering why anyone would be afraid.. Max is that your question will be ignored or you'll be redirected to page 0. I'm assuming that anyone embarking on this journey is not a baby so why shall you fear any fear?
To the newbies ( as people say) Continue to ask your questions but biko read from the beginning (page 0) and you may not even need to ask the question again sef. Go on CIC website and read all readables on EE. People have taken pains to collate all the information there, let's drop this spoon feeding attitude. Fear to ask questions cuz no one wants to be ridiculed or insulted. Doesn’t feel good to go to a forum for information just to get insulted. Like I said, I ask on my WhatsApp group and other forums, not because I don’t have a thick skin, but because this process is already mentally tasking, so I don’t need the extra drama from nobody. I know myself, I will end up dedicating my time to put that person in his/her place. Ain’t nobody got time for that. So let’s respect ourselves. |

I have to say, as a newbie I am very careful when it comes to asking questions here. I rather ask on other forums(not that I haven’t asked one or two questions here) some of the oldies can be condescending and rude to newbies and it is discouraging people from asking questions. If you can’t answer, move on or simply point the person to the correct pages. Like cochtrane said, ask your questions and don’t be shy. A lot of people have derailed this thread with irrelevant things. Don’t discourage newbies pls. |

cochtrane: As long as you submit before the date it expires (2 years), you should be fine. But you need to make sure it's 2 years. If you wrote on the 9th Jan, for example, two years will be at least a day before 9th Jan 2018. And that's the date of the exam. Thank you. Hopefully we get ITA soon, as all our documents and POF is ready. Ha, finally figured out how to quote post here. Lol |

Good morning guys! I have been a silent reader for a while now, even went back to the first post. We have been on this express entry matter for a while, IELTS was the main culprit. Long story short, my hubby finally got LRWS:8.5,7,7,8.0. Since then I haven’t had a good night sleep, lol. I wake up on Nairaland and sleep on Nairaland. We created our EE profile on the 31/10 and got CRS 434. We are on our UK police report now, and hoping for a lower draw next week. I just want to say this community is great, especially the way everyone helps. I Look forward to all the help I can get Post ITA. |

jnyuwa02: Your CGPA is good enough. There are a lot of things involved in an application than merely CGPA. Colleges look at a lot of criteria. Your creativity in writing, the substance of your thesis proposal and personal qualities important to success in life: your tenacity, resiliency and thoughtfulness as made evident in your statement of intent and recommendations. So yes my answer is it is possible to get admission in most places with your CGPA, yes even Ottawa is not that hard to get into. It all matters how you dovetail your application to appeal to the admissions committee. Hang in there! Keep pushing the envelope till you succeed. thanks. Pls can you put me through how to write a good statement of intent. This could be why I didn't get in. My email is zedennis@gmail.com thank you |

Hello guys! Been following this thread as a guest. I have a few questions pls.
I have a CGPA of 3.80 in my final two years of study and a FCGPA of 3.53 in civil Engineering. I applied to 3 different schools for my MENG, Windsor, Mun and Waterloo but it was not successful. Windsor said low academic average, Waterloo said they received a lot of applications, while Mun said no available supervisor. I was told by MUN my application will be reconsidered for fall 2018. Tried contacting supervisors but haven't heard from any. I am worried I won't get any positive response from Mun. I would like to apply to Ottawa, but before I do, pls can someone advice if my CGPA is good for Ottawa. Thanks |
