newsynews: Recruited. You know this because..... You make it sound like gay couples that want kids just go to the homes of straight couples and pick kids up from there. Isn't it "the so-called " union" of man and woman that produces all the abandoned kids that end up in orphanages and motherless babies' homes around the world, kids that most straight couples don't and won't adopt? Have you asked those kids if they mind being in a family where the parents are gay? It's funny how a large number of you guys with these sentiments don't adopt any of these abandoned kids yet you would prevent those that want them from taking them. Is that not the height of wickedness? Also, in case you didn't know, straight people also prey on kids and, if you read the news at all, you would know that child molesters are more among straight folk than gay folk. Anyone who rapes someone is a rapist and anyone who sexually preys on children is a child molester/pedophile not a gay person. Stop crossing lines to make invalid points. |

Nathan2016: Let's face it; neither of the two people presented by the major parties in the last election was fit to be president which says a lot for how effed up things are in our political system. |

Glocks: Okay, let's take Biafra. Let's assume the Niger-Deltansare in on this project. If Biafra is actualized, well, there can only be one president who would either be Igbo or ND and whichever it is, the other would feel shortchanged and marginalized. Even if it's only Igbos in Biafra, you have Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo (I'm just realizing all the SE states begin and end with vowels) and there can only be one president from one of the five leaving the other four to moan and whinge about being left out of things. There is always a line we can be divided by. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Glocks: You know why I think the people won't resist it? Just do the same things Nigerian leaders have been doing and you're good to go. For instance, in spite of the fact that Jonathan was obviously a weak president and lots of his subordinates were robbing Nigeria blind, Igbos and the Niger-Deltans still supported him as one of our own! It's the same scenario that would play out because we still have this mentality and it's one of the things we should be fighting. |

Glocks: You don't get what he's saying. First off, you realize the Niger-Deltans have been clamouring for a change in the status quo almost as long as the Igbos, right? And what he is saying is not that there is something wrong with pushing for a change. He is just saying that we are pushing for the wrong kind of change. The change we are pushing for is not the type that would make our lives better or secure the futures of generations unborn. All we would get put of realizing Biafra is a new country but considering we still have the same mentality and we are still susceptible to manipulation, we'll only see a Nigerian story all over again, or even worse. The change we should be pushing for is mental; a change in the way we think, the way we approach governance and government, the way we respond to the activities of our elected leaders. That is the kind of change should push for and trust me, Biafra won't bring about that change. 3 Likes |

Where I fully agree with area fada is that even if Biafra is actualized, with this current mentality we have, we'll only have a new set of leaders to take us on a joyless ride, to point blames at everyone but themselves, to further divide us. How is it that we can go abroad and live with people who have totally different cultures from us and we would live in peace but right in our own country, we are being told that we can't live together with people with whom we've shared the same geographical location since time immemorial? Does it not make you wonder? 3 Likes |

I agree with Charley Boy. The problem with Nigeria is a cultural, institutionalized and probably mental problem. I mean, sure, Igbos are suffering in Nigeria. But you would think Yorubas, Hausas, Fulanis, the Niger-Deltans and all other tribes are enjoying. Well if you think that, you probably aren't in Nigeria. Go to Lagos and pretty much every other big city in Nigeria. You find Hausas being water carriers and gatemen (not security guards which are, apparently, different), suya sellers and so on. Yoruba's don't have it much better. Have you seen the touts in the South West or the ritual killers? Do you hear of the crimes being committed by Nigerians abroad? If it's not an Igbo man pushing drugs in Malaysia, it's a Yoruba man enmeshed in fraud. The Niger Delta youth appear to see militancy as a career prospect. Doesn't that tell us that no tribe really holds the advantage in this country? Our regional leaders keep telling us that every other tribe is taking advantage of us just so they can blind us to the fact that they are the ones ripping us off big time. And we swallow all of this hook, line and sinker and go online championing causes we haven't carefully considered. 6 Likes |

Ejomax77: I don't think anything, and I don't think anybody should. Each person has enough to deal with in their own attractions and relationships; why bother with who someone else is attracted to or dating? If it's a sin then hey, how about we leave God to deal with that? 1 Like |

Can we end this Jewish or not Jewish charade once and for all? It's getting embarrassing really. We Igbo's don't need Jewishness as a claim to greatness so I don't understand why some of us are pushing this agenda like our very future depends on it. Jews are Jews, Igbo's are Igbo's. End of! 1 Like 1 Share |

Skubidude: Lol, you sure you want to use the manufacturer analogy? When you buy a product, you've bought all of it and you choose to use it which ever way you so please. If I decide to use my iPad as a paper weight, Apple can't come tell me I shouldn't. Sure, they are free to tell me what else I could use it to do but I get to pick the one I consider most productive. If I buy a G-wagon and decide I want to use it to carry yam from the farm, Mercedes can't query me on that. Besides, there are loads of examples of people using items in more productive ways than the manufacturer intended. And when did God even come down from heaven to tell you what should be used for what? |

newsynews: How many gay people do you know? How many have you asked how they feel about their sexual orientation? How many did you see pushing for any sort of legislation to be accepted legally in Nigeria? You'll just make assumptions in your room because you've watched one or two foreign series and you're more concerned with other people's sex lives than your own. That's sad. 3 Likes |

Ejomax77: Since when do you boil human attraction and sexuality down to magnetism. So apparently, two people that like yam should not be attracted to each other since they are alike in that respect if we follow your analogy. |
